[1:52] Um, I wanted to say that the program that Miss Tabitha and Light Path

[1:58] Enrichment has provided for the community is

[2:04] at a point greater than anything for our family that we've experienced on the

[2:10] community level for our family. We've been a part of her program for two years

[2:15] now. This is our second year um being part of um multiple programs that she

[2:20] offers um for her enrichment and her tutoring.

[2:25] Um I want to say that um her program is very beneficial not only

[2:33] to our family but other community family members um families because she provides

[2:39] an opportunity for children to be exposed to different individuals that

[2:45] have different learning um teachings to help them understand concepts and um

[2:53] subjects that in a traditional setting um cause them

[2:57] to not be um confident or um knowledgeable in what they're doing. And

[3:05] what Miss Tabitha then path offers is the opportunity to expose those children

[3:10] and students and um families to alternative

[3:17] viewpoints on how to complete a math problem, multiplication tables, um

[3:24] learning your adjectives or adverbs or pronouns. Um the benefit that she brings

[3:29] to the community and outweighs any financial gain. um she uh may be a

[3:37] for-profit company, but any profit that she would

[3:42] acquire immediately goes back into the program to build up the supplies and the

[3:47] resources that all these children have access to. Also with what they have

[3:52] available for um the casual care tutoring and enrichment

[3:59] um a lot of the other child care programs and um tutoring require at

[4:05] least three days to participate in a program or you have to meet a special

[4:08] qualification. This allows those families that may not

[4:12] be able to financially have a child in child care for three days a week the

[4:16] option to have it for two for like a parent day out to help them go

[4:20] volunteer, look for jobs, complete a job, what may have you. And the

[4:25] enrichment allows other children to get direction enrichment from other

[4:30] individuals um to help teach them and guide them.

[5:26] huge part of that for us. um and Miss Tabitha Bagot. They have been a huge

[5:31] source of support for us and a growing foundation for us here in Aaron. My

[5:36] husband and I are both working self-employed parents um for several

[5:41] reasons like a lot of families in Houston County. We have chosen to

[5:45] homeschool our daughter. Um and it would not be possible without Black Pass

[5:51] support. Um we came from Nashville and in years prior we had a lot of options

[5:56] to choose from. um in the homeschool support world. Um and when we reached

[6:01] Aaron, we had no idea how we were going to manage working and having both of our

[6:05] girls at home with us. Um so we began to pray

[6:09] uh and we prayed for an option that was going to be flexible, affordable,

[6:14] available, convenient, align with our faith, and align with our need to

[6:18] homeschool. And Light Path was and still is an answer to that prayer for us. uh

[6:24] without it we would be making significant sacrifice in terms of

[6:27] commute affordability uh faith in our approach to our

[6:31] daughter's learning um light path also offers us the

[6:35] opportunity to have qualified and gifted teachers spending time with our daughter

[6:38] and other Houston county students as well can benefit from this their

[6:42] tutoring programs our oldest daughter is significantly above her grade level in

[6:46] several uh subjects and so white path has allowed us the option of being able

[6:51] to work with her and meet her right where she is in her level uh and keep

[6:54] our challenged and stimulated and loved on as well and that's meant a lot to us

[6:58] as parents. Uh the environment is calm, small, and collaborative and that's just

[7:03] what we needed. I represent only one family, but I know I also rep represent

[7:08] many more in this county. Um many others in Houston County need for the same

[7:13] reasons that we do. Flexibility, affordability, availability, faith, and

[7:18] a unique educational environment. So, please consider my words as you navigate

[7:23] life paths um occupancy needs. >> Thank you,

[7:58] husband's a trucker, so me physically doing homeschool at home was not an

[8:09] um post or whatever it was at the time um about her program and I went and went

[8:18] to the orientation and I can honestly say it's been the best thing for my

[8:23] child. He has caught up to where he needs to be and should be even though he

[8:29] has never really loved school, but he he does it and he thrives and he

[8:38] does everything that I need him to do. His tala has made a world of difference

[8:43] for my child, my family. Um I mean it's affordable for us. Um,

[8:52] you know, it's I can't express enough how much of a difference this program

[8:57] has made for my kids. Um, I guess that's it.

[14:54] suicidal thoughts. The amendment that we are proposing is one that we have sent

[15:00] out to every post in the state. Every every county in the state has received

[15:04] it. Um, and we're asking to support the veterans the the the bean program. Um,

[15:12] if you're not aware, we have a a legends race car up in Nashville and he goes all

[15:17] over. He is our uh [clears throat] Mr. Ed Boy is our be the one ambassador for

[15:24] the state. uh and he goes everywhere and talks about suicide prevention. The

[15:29] Legion has several programs uh for be the one is intended to be the one

[15:38] they call when they're having suicidal thoughts. So, uh, we're just asking the

[15:43] county and it it doesn't cost anything county, uh, to support that resolution

[15:48] and, uh, the state already is the state legislature has already passed it. And,

[15:53] um, I believe March 1st is the one day in Tennessee.
