[0:00]
Yes.
[0:07]
I just found out I have the house. It's
going to take me half materials.
[0:15]
[laughter]
[0:25]
Sorry. Anybody else being hassled?
[0:33]
We'll call the uh Houston County working
session to order.
[0:45]
Look like we've got
11 commissioners here.
[0:51]
Got notaries. Next week we'll have a new
one. Miss an Mville, Deborah Kent, and
[0:58]
Brandy Rose.
[1:03]
Any questions on those?
[1:09]
Next, you got public comments. Anybody
got public comment? Anybody sign up for
[1:15]
public comment?
Come on up. If you signed up, we we got
[1:20]
uh
we'll give you three minutes
[1:24]
per person.
[1:40]
» Come on up where you can address the
commission here. Yeah.
[1:45]
» Good afternoon. I'm Natasha Douglas. I'm
here on behalf of Light Path Enrichment.
[1:52]
Um, I wanted to say that the program
that Miss Tabitha and Light Path
[1:58]
Enrichment has provided for the
community is
[2:04]
at a point greater than anything for our
family that we've experienced on the
[2:10]
community level for our family. We've
been a part of her program for two years
[2:15]
now. This is our second year um being
part of um multiple programs that she
[2:20]
offers um for her enrichment and her
tutoring.
[2:25]
Um I want to say that um
her program is very beneficial not only
[2:33]
to our family but other community family
members um families because she provides
[2:39]
an opportunity for children to be
exposed to different individuals that
[2:45]
have different learning um teachings to
help them understand concepts and um
[2:53]
subjects that
in a traditional setting um cause them
[2:57]
to not be um confident or um
knowledgeable in what they're doing. And
[3:05]
what Miss Tabitha then path offers is
the opportunity to expose those children
[3:10]
and students and um families to
alternative
[3:17]
viewpoints on how to complete a math
problem, multiplication tables, um
[3:24]
learning your adjectives or adverbs or
pronouns. Um the benefit that she brings
[3:29]
to the community and outweighs
any financial gain. um she uh may be a
[3:37]
for-profit
company, but any profit that she would
[3:42]
acquire immediately goes back into the
program to build up the supplies and the
[3:47]
resources that all these children have
access to. Also with what they have
[3:52]
available for um the casual care
tutoring and enrichment
[3:59]
um a lot of the other child care
programs and um tutoring require at
[4:05]
least three days to participate in a
program or you have to meet a special
[4:08]
qualification.
This allows those families that may not
[4:12]
be able to financially have a child in
child care for three days a week the
[4:16]
option to have it for two for like a
parent day out to help them go
[4:20]
volunteer, look for jobs, complete a
job, what may have you. And the
[4:25]
enrichment allows other children to get
direction enrichment from other
[4:30]
individuals um to help teach them and
guide them.
[4:35]
» Thank you.
>> Thank you.
[4:40]
Give me a chair.
[4:45]
» Anybody else with public comment? Uh,
you got Miss Is Miss Anna Locker here?
[4:55]
» You got three minutes. M.
[5:02]
[clears throat]
>> Okay. I'm gonna talk louder.
[5:05]
» Give her a mic up there. Yeah, I'm just
gonna say it out loud. Uh, my family and
[5:11]
I moved to Aaron in November of last
year and our house is just right up the
[5:15]
hill up there. You can see it from here.
Um, Aaron has welcomed us with open arms
[5:20]
and we have been so grateful. Um, sorry
it's emotional. Life path has been a
[5:26]
huge part of that for us. um and Miss
Tabitha Bagot. They have been a huge
[5:31]
source of support for us and a growing
foundation for us here in Aaron. My
[5:36]
husband and I are both working
self-employed parents um for several
[5:41]
reasons like a lot of families in
Houston County. We have chosen to
[5:45]
homeschool our daughter. Um and it would
not be possible without Black Pass
[5:51]
support. Um we came from Nashville and
in years prior we had a lot of options
[5:56]
to choose from. um in the homeschool
support world. Um and when we reached
[6:01]
Aaron, we had no idea how we were going
to manage working and having both of our
[6:05]
girls at home with us. Um so we began to
pray
[6:09]
uh and we prayed for an option that was
going to be flexible, affordable,
[6:14]
available, convenient, align with our
faith, and align with our need to
[6:18]
homeschool. And Light Path was and still
is an answer to that prayer for us. uh
[6:24]
without it we would be making
significant sacrifice in terms of
[6:27]
commute affordability
uh faith in our approach to our
[6:31]
daughter's learning
um light path also offers us the
[6:35]
opportunity to have qualified and gifted
teachers spending time with our daughter
[6:38]
and other Houston county students as
well can benefit from this their
[6:42]
tutoring programs our oldest daughter is
significantly above her grade level in
[6:46]
several uh subjects and so white path
has allowed us the option of being able
[6:51]
to work with her and meet her right
where she is in her level uh and keep
[6:54]
our challenged and stimulated and loved
on as well and that's meant a lot to us
[6:58]
as parents. Uh the environment is calm,
small, and collaborative and that's just
[7:03]
what we needed. I represent only one
family, but I know I also rep represent
[7:08]
many more in this county. Um many others
in Houston County need for the same
[7:13]
reasons that we do. Flexibility,
affordability, availability, faith, and
[7:18]
a unique educational environment. So,
please consider my words as you navigate
[7:23]
life paths um occupancy needs.
>> Thank you,
[7:31]
Miss Chris.
>> Childers. Yeah, you're ahead. Um I'm
[7:35]
Christa Childers. I have known Miss Taco
for quite a long time. My child has
[7:42]
always had a little bit of a struggle
since he was itty bitty, which is how I
[7:47]
actually met this type of thing. Um, my
child has struggled all through school.
[7:54]
I have debated homeschooling relatively
long time. I work full-time. My
[7:58]
husband's a trucker, so me physically
doing homeschool at home was not an
[8:04]
option. And then one day I just happened
to see Miss Tabitha's
[8:09]
um post or whatever it was at the time
um about her program and I went and went
[8:18]
to the orientation and I can honestly
say it's been the best thing for my
[8:23]
child. He has caught up to where he
needs to be and should be even though he
[8:29]
has never really loved school, but he he
does it and he thrives and he
[8:38]
does everything that I need him to do.
His tala has made a world of difference
[8:43]
for my child, my family. Um
I mean it's affordable for us. Um,
[8:52]
you know, it's I can't express enough
how much of a difference this program
[8:57]
has made for my kids.
Um, I guess that's it.
[9:05]
» Thank you.
>> I thank Mr. Rosie.
[9:15]
I have
[9:19]
water.
Hey, I do have a question. Uh, it's not
[9:23]
[clears throat] the first time. Don't
listen to me. Nothing wrong. Why we just
[9:27]
getting this agenda? I'm reading this
little TCA thing.
[9:32]
» Sorry, you're gonna have to speak.
>> My question is why we just now get this
[9:38]
agenda. According to TCA 8-44-110
at least 48 hours at least 48 hours
[9:47]
before regular meeting a state governing
body or a local but you guys governing
[9:52]
body shall make available to the public.
Now I don't know what's the problem is
[9:56]
and maybe we should know but this is not
the first time we have agendas late in
[10:00]
the day and I get the agenda which is
great but what are these resolutions
[10:04]
about? Shouldn't we as taxpayers able to
look at this prior to the meeting? And
[10:08]
so when we come up here, we can ask
questions or give our support or not
[10:13]
give our support. It doesn't make sense
to me. I mean, with the new
[10:17]
commissioners, you can look into that. I
know you all go to CASS cost of $3 a
[10:22]
pop. I don't understand why it's like
this. I mean, we got money going out. A
[10:26]
lot of good causes here. Some I don't
know, but I wouldn't know what to do if
[10:30]
I don't read the resolutions and get the
agenda over time. It's a law. That's all
[10:35]
I'm asking. Follow the law. If there's
an issue, then government officials look
[10:39]
into it. If the staff needs help, give
them a hand. They don't work for you. We
[10:43]
don't work for you. You work for the
people. You work for the county
[10:46]
employees. Have a good meeting.
[10:52]
» Hi, commissioners. I set the agenda. I
passed out. So, um, we are trying to
[10:57]
transition into the website where we
don't have to send emails. Um, there's
[11:02]
been back and forth with our Outlook
being down. I think I've lost Outlook
[11:06]
five, six times over this fiscal year.
Um, which wipes all my contacts
[11:10]
completely out. I read manually into
those. Um, we've lost some staffing.
[11:15]
But, um, one of our goals of the mayor's
office is to get our county website uh,
[11:20]
utilized where I don't have to email you
all. I don't email the public. It can be
[11:25]
posted on there. So, um, I I would like
y'all to consider um, helping this
[11:31]
office try to do that in the future. So
we will have less of these issues going
[11:36]
forward.
[11:44]
» Any other public comment?
[11:49]
Next, under old business, uh
[11:55]
we uh
[12:02]
[clears throat] first thing I need to do
is do a roll call. Uh
[12:08]
William Ay
>> here.
[12:11]
» Chris Pitz
>> here.
[12:13]
» Ed Hardrove
>> here.
[12:14]
» Random French
>> here.
[12:16]
» Steve Black
>> here. Jimmy Bass,
[12:19]
» yes.
>> Vicky Rey,
[12:21]
» present.
>> Howard Spurgeon
[12:24]
» here.
>> Kim R
[12:25]
» here.
I
[12:28]
» can't think of your first name. I know
you're Miss Reynolds.
[12:31]
» Don Miss Donna
>> here.
[12:34]
» Glenn Bagot
>> here.
[12:35]
» Jeff Matis
>> here.
[12:38]
» Got 12 present.
Under old business. Uh
[12:45]
it's uh last Friday we received a phone
call and email from ECD.
[12:52]
I reached out to them about three weeks
ago asking for some more money for the
[12:57]
parking lot, pay for the parking lot and
asked me how much we needed and I told
[13:01]
them they told us that they couldn't
give us so much. The figure we came up
[13:06]
was about 200,000.
So I told them that would be great if we
[13:10]
could get it. So, we got a call Friday.
They gave us 250,000.
[13:15]
So, we're going to get another 250 and
that should almost pay for the parking
[13:20]
lot, but uh that was good news to get
>> and
[13:28]
they're going to put the stone and the
fabric down and all that. They're
[13:32]
» the bad dirt out of it.
>> They've already dug the dirt out where
[13:35]
the wet spot was at. Uh they've got the
stone. If you look out there now, you
[13:40]
can see the stone and I've got the
fabric under it. They're going to pour
[13:44]
it Monday or Tuesday next week. They
pour about 12 15 foot section here on
[13:49]
the end. Then they're going to pour all
that next Monday or Tuesday what he told
[13:53]
me today.
And they'll guarantee that to hole.
[13:59]
But never would have thought of a wet
spot being there, but it was pretty
[14:03]
soft.
[14:07]
But um under new business, we got the
resolution 38.
[14:14]
That's the support American Legion be
the one campaign that Mr. Bag is
[14:19]
involved with that.
>> Well, yes. Um
[14:24]
as everybody should be aware, uh
September is suicide prevention month.
[14:29]
And about four years ago, the American
Legion started the Be the One program,
[14:34]
which initially um focused on veteran
suicide. We lose approximately 22
[14:41]
veterans every day. They've since
expanded that program to cover first
[14:47]
responders, anybody that anybody that in
a high-risk job or or may suffer from
[14:54]
suicidal thoughts. The amendment that we
are proposing is one that we have sent
[15:00]
out to every post in the state. Every
every county in the state has received
[15:04]
it. Um, and we're asking to support the
veterans the the the bean program. Um,
[15:12]
if you're not aware, we have a a legends
race car up in Nashville and he goes all
[15:17]
over. He is our uh [clears throat] Mr.
Ed Boy is our be the one ambassador for
[15:24]
the state. uh and he goes everywhere and
talks about suicide prevention. The
[15:29]
Legion has several programs uh for
be the one is intended to be the one
[15:38]
they call when they're having suicidal
thoughts. So, uh, we're just asking the
[15:43]
county and it it doesn't cost anything
county, uh, to support that resolution
[15:48]
and, uh, the state already is the state
legislature has already passed it. And,
[15:53]
um, I believe March 1st is the one day
in Tennessee.
[16:01]
That's it. Any questions for that?
[16:07]
Uh next you got resolution 39
the cont contract pass student
[16:14]
enrichment and learning center.
Any discussions on that?
[16:20]
» Um
looking at the resolution on the second
[16:25]
paragraph um it's
the last sentence for purpose of
[16:32]
providing nonprofit and public benefit.
I think that needs to be corrected
[16:37]
profit because they're not nonprofit.
[16:44]
» I don't know how the committee feels
about that.
[16:54]
» We've actually already had a public
comment there. Ma'am, what where you
[17:00]
all she's asking about is a is a word a
couple of words in
[17:05]
» Yeah, I was um given the contract on
Friday and I just had a lot of
[17:09]
questions. Should I wait to do that next
week?
[17:19]
» She's got to ask her questions.
>> I'm sorry. She has I mean to to satisfy
[17:25]
her she has got to ask the questions if
she's got them.
[17:28]
» That a big thing.
>> But uh in my opinion
[17:31]
» I agree but we we have this for a
reason.
[17:34]
» Yeah we do.
>> Um but remember that's a one way.
[17:38]
» Yeah.
>> Attorney isn't here to answer her
[17:41]
question.
>> That's right.
[17:42]
» So
>> we can't answer for attorney.
[17:45]
» Exactly.
>> Go ahead. Go ahead and come up here. I
[17:48]
mean,
>> come on.
[17:53]
» We can't answer legal questions. I know.
>> Okay.
[17:58]
» Yes.
[18:02]
» So, originally when I was given my first
contract, it's very small, pretty plain
[18:09]
and simple and to the point. Um, I'm
still offering the exact same services
[18:13]
that I was offering when the original
contract was given to me. So, um,
[18:19]
there's a lot of things that's in my new
contract that is not mentioned in my
[18:23]
first contract. So, that was kind of one
of my questions is why a whole book now
[18:28]
when at first I was just given this
little thing. I'm doing all the same
[18:31]
things. Nothing has changed except I was
a partnership and now I am a sle
[18:35]
proprietorship.
Outside of that question, I do have um
[18:41]
first of all, as far as the location
goes, and I don't know if this really
[18:45]
matters, but it has it listed as 213
College Street. Upon checking with um
[18:50]
the tax office, and then actually
Greater Dixon Gas Authority told me when
[18:55]
I had the gas put in my name, it
actually should be 235 College Street
[19:00]
instead of 213.
[19:10]
under the um [clears throat] reversion
to monthtomonth.
[19:15]
I was going to see if somebody can
explain that to me better like if if you
[19:20]
guys agree for me to do this. Am I for
sure here for six months or
[19:26]
could you end it before the six months
was over? Like I don't understand that
[19:29]
paragraph that's on that second page.
reversion to monthtomonth.
[19:34]
I just need that explained to me.
[20:01]
Like the mayor said, we cannot answer
legal questions.
[20:03]
» Okay. I didn't know if that was a legal
question.
[20:06]
» Okay, that's fine. Um,
[20:18]
it's telling me that I'm going to have
to um do quarterly reporting every three
[20:24]
months telling the items set forth
below. Um, but it does not give me like
[20:29]
any type of reporting deadline. It
doesn't say when this will be due.
[20:34]
[laughter]
Um, so I just need to know when exactly
[20:37]
am I know three months, but like what
day of the month or when am I supposed
[20:41]
to submit those documents,
>> mayor, where our lawyer will be here?
[20:46]
Next Monday night.
>> You'll be here Monday night.
[20:48]
» Let's let's just table this to next
Monday night. We're going to waste time.
[20:52]
» We're not voting on anything tonight
anyway. We're just,
[20:55]
» you know, I appreciate the concern, but
I don't know. We are absolutely lost.
[20:59]
» Why don't you get Charles maybe to come
just a little bit early?
[21:04]
» Have you not talked Have you not reached
out to attorney at all?
[21:06]
» I have. I've reached out to the attorney
multiple times. Um I asked him if I
[21:10]
could come to his office and have a
meeting with him. He did not see he
[21:15]
didn't seem like that he wanted me to do
that. And I asked him about my contract
[21:19]
and he said you guys had it. So I was
given the contract Friday evening and
[21:23]
then yesterday was holiday. So, I've
just had over the weekend to look over
[21:27]
the contract myself. Therefore, I have
questions. But I didn't know that Mr.
[21:31]
Attorney wasn't going to be here
tonight. So, I thought is Tuesday night
[21:34]
not when he's going to be here? It's
going to be Monday night.
[21:36]
» It's next Tuesday night when I meet.
>> Okay. I'll just come back in.
[21:42]
» I would ask you to reach back out to him
tomorrow if you can't get in call.
[21:46]
» Okay. Thank you.
>> Mr. Mayor,
[21:50]
» I I too had some questions about the
contract. I did me sent them email to
[21:57]
Charles.
>> Yes.
[21:58]
» I have not heard back from him either.
So,
[22:01]
» okay.
>> I can mention him now or we missed let
[22:04]
Charles wait through it.
>> I think if it's a Charles question, we
[22:08]
need to ask Charles.
>> Yeah. One one applies kind of what is
[22:13]
the is the is the county remaining
responsible for maintaining the
[22:18]
building? I mean, roof leaks or
whatever.
[22:24]
We are okay. So, we've got we're holding
the tenant responsible for mold. Mold
[22:30]
generally is a moisture problem.
I I don't think it's appropriate to hold
[22:35]
them responsible for mold when it's more
to the county's performance on building
[22:40]
maintenance
accounts or absence of mold.
[22:48]
» Well,
okay. I'm going to throw my two cents
[22:52]
out. I think it's a great program,
but [clears throat] I do not believe it
[22:56]
belongs in the county buildings
because the damage, etc., the potential
[23:04]
lawsuits to the county against the
county if something goes wrong, it's
[23:09]
just too great. Understand? And so I
would suggest that, you know, if there
[23:15]
be some way that it could go back to a
church or a building, another building,
[23:21]
that's fine. And I I think that's great.
But against putting a county building,
[23:27]
all we're doing is opening the door to
for a lawsuit.
[23:30]
» I got a question. Did we put them in
that building, the county commission
[23:33]
commission?
>> We gave them access to a temporary
[23:36]
basis. So this lay
[23:40]
» that's all I want to say.
>> Well, there's some guidelines in here
[23:45]
officially now that have to be adhered
to and they're not just ours. They're
[23:49]
also the state.
[23:54]
» That's what I'm saying. We all just seen
this tonight.
[23:59]
» What about carry general liability
policy with an umbrella for the county?
[24:05]
» That's right.
[24:10]
So, there's a termination. Uh, Lacy has
a 45day termination, right? But then you
[24:16]
read the text, it says 60 days notice.
To me, that didn't make sense. I think
[24:20]
it should be 45 days notice. Good.
And then if you go to the
[24:29]
uh executive lease package summary
on back package uh item one
[24:38]
um seems to be in tension with the lease
terms. One it says an automatic in the
[24:47]
executive lease package summary. It's an
automatic month-to-month conversion. you
[24:52]
can reach the three lease terms. Uh they
only automatically terminates at
[24:57]
[clears throat] the end of six months.
So that
[25:01]
that's not too
[25:18]
Any
[25:26]
other discussion on this?
[25:35]
[cough]
[clears throat]
[25:38]
Next, you got resolution 40 to transfer
$749 to correct payroll into election
[25:44]
part-time personnel election commission.
Any
[25:53]
question?
[25:58]
Next, you got resolution 41 appropriate
14,000 to county buildings maintenance
[26:05]
and repair buildings.
[26:11]
Correct.
That's what we paid for the air. That's
[26:15]
actually what we paid for the air
conditioner out of our county buildings.
[26:20]
And it's left us with a zero ballot in
our county building. We have to have an
[26:24]
emergency at the sheriff's office. We
had to put air conditioners in.
[26:31]
We're just asking to put the money back.
>> Replenishing that reserve.
[26:36]
» I'm sorry.
>> This is just replenishing the reserve.
[26:39]
» That's correct. their reserves is is
down to almost zero
[26:46]
and I'm sure we'll have some more issues
with housing.
[26:52]
Uh next resolution 42
connected communities facility change
[26:57]
order number eight incorporation of
$13,936.
[27:02]
I think Mr. Howard re talked to the
contractor Mr. Ry about that.
[27:09]
They had a this was the uh amount that
taking the option we did to resolve the
[27:16]
soft spot in the parking area out there.
The other option was to tip deeper and
[27:22]
put more rock and all in. That was a
$20,000 [clears throat]
[27:27]
option and the contractor would
guarantee this if something falls
[27:32]
through they'll come back. So
[27:38]
there is a typo in the third line where
first
[27:45]
parking
that area
[27:58]
where you say it was Mr. What?
>> Uh first whereas third line check
[28:07]
if parking
be that
[28:15]
just whether it's in that area or
something.
[28:24]
Get that down right.
Any
[28:30]
other [clears throat] discussions on
that?
[28:33]
Next, you got resolution 43, approve
FY27 contract for service from the state
[28:39]
of Tennessee through UT extension.
[28:47]
Any questions on that?
[28:53]
So Joey, this has got an effective day
of July 1st. I'm the new guy here. What
[28:58]
is that normal?
It's always
[29:04]
» Yes, it's all right.
[29:12]
» Any questions? Any other questions?
[29:17]
Next you got resolution 44 amend FY27
initiative school mobile model grant
[29:25]
budgets for both the high school and
middle school.
[29:32]
Any questions on this?
[29:38]
The school superintendent is here if you
need a question. Next we got resolution
[29:43]
45 appropriate $78,60
for Tennessee children grant.
[29:51]
Any questions on this
[29:56]
question? I know this for middle school
[30:04]
just for elementary
[30:10]
school. We apply that all these grants.
We apply for every grant we can. We're
[30:15]
managing probably 12 and 15 grants right
now.
[30:26]
And I I don't know. I know these are new
commission, but I don't know what Rachel
[30:31]
puts in there, but I try to send a memo
out
[30:35]
of grants and stuff.
[30:39]
Good.
[30:45]
Any other questions on this?
Next, you got resolution 46, amend
[30:51]
transition school to work project budget
amendment $48,539.50.
[31:02]
» Any questions on that?
>> What is that?
[31:06]
» The work to school program. What is it?
gets out and
[31:12]
exposed and things like that. But the
reason that 48,539
[31:19]
is there is we thought it was going to
be person.
[31:25]
So we're moving it back into HUD. So
we're actually putting it back into our
[31:31]
» Have you had this before?
>> Yes.
[31:33]
» And where would the kids go to
>> different businesses? They make them all
[31:37]
over the place. I get field trips all
the time.
[31:40]
» Is it like a visit thing where they work
here after school or something or
[31:45]
» I think it's mostly just
>> Okay. Just expose them to industry and
[31:50]
could potentially influence their career
choice.
[31:59]
» Any other questions?
Next we got resolution 47 appropriate
[32:05]
$90,000 for the literacy materials
implementation
[32:12]
support grant.
That's another school.
[32:18]
Any question on that?
[32:24]
Next we got resolution 48,
access for all learning network
[32:30]
appropriation of $50,000.
[32:34]
Any questions on that?
[32:39]
Next, we got resolution 49, TVA donation
appropriation of $1,200.
[32:46]
Any questions on that?
[32:54]
Next, you got resolution 50, awarding of
the renaming competition for the armory.
[33:00]
We'll be voting on that Tuesday night.
>> I have the resolution that I'm passing
[33:04]
on that that identifies the uh the four
that the tourism committee came up with
[33:12]
out of the 30
>> 38 38 days.
[33:19]
[laughter]
[33:24]
We will whittle it down to one Tuesday
night.
[33:31]
» This is what
>> this is for the renaming of the armor.
[33:35]
Jimmy, uh the tourism committee met at 5
this afternoon and they it was 38
[33:41]
entries. They narrowed it down to four.
They're going to let the commit the
[33:45]
whole commission will pick one of the
four for the new name of the National
[33:50]
Army.
[33:53]
» Hey, mayor.
>> Yes, sir.
[33:55]
» I apologize, but stepping back up to 12.
Is it $1,200 for $1,250?
[34:03]
» Um, I'm looking at,200, but
>> 1250.
[34:07]
» Is it 1250?
>> 1250.
[34:11]
» Okay. And I got 1,200 on mine.
>> That's what I've got on the agenda. But
[34:16]
when you go to the resolution, it's got
>> 1250. Okay.
[34:20]
I need to correct that.
>> Also on the resolution for 50, there's
[34:25]
four instead of three names because
I had two that tied. Is that correct?
[34:31]
» That is correct.
[34:35]
» I need to know
[34:40]
the resolution. have a third place. Are
they splitting it? Are they
[34:45]
just the fourth not being awarded?
[34:50]
» That's a question.
>> That's a good question.
[34:53]
» Yes, the first place was uh 250, second
was 125, third was 75, but we did have a
[35:01]
tie between the third and fourth place
names that were there.
[35:07]
» Commission choose top three.
>> You will choose the top three. Yes. And
[35:12]
of course it's all blind. Committee had
no idea who did what. So
[35:20]
» So next week will choose three.
>> Tonight you will vote for one, two,
[35:27]
three or four. Whatever you put them in.
That's whoever gets the most votes.
[35:31]
That's the one that'll be.
>> So it still just be three places.
[35:36]
» We're paying three places. That's what
Rachel's asking is that do we
[35:43]
split the third place or keep it like it
is and fourth gets done?
[35:49]
» Well, that's I I think if it's a tie
in third and fourth place, they get the
[35:56]
same. If it's a tie
difference,
[36:04]
» well, actually, it wouldn't make that
much difference. you know, the full
[36:07]
legislative body votes on that because
there may not be a time. You may have
[36:12]
one, two, and three. So,
[36:16]
» I think we just
[36:29]
» Any other discussion on that?
you will vote one through four and we'll
[36:35]
tally votes up and
hopefully we won't have a tie. If we do,
[36:41]
we'll go through it again. [laughter]
[36:46]
Next, you got your reports. You got your
judicial commission report.
[36:51]
Got your 911 report. You got your
library report
[36:56]
and your school portal report.
Judicial commission reports got a lot.
[37:14]
» Any questions on the report?
[37:22]
» If no question, I need a motion to
>> I got a question. Mayor, uh, what about
[37:27]
the truck from the contractor we talked
about a few weeks ago?
[37:31]
» Yeah. Anything coming to life? Is that
it?
[37:33]
» He told me the end of September 1st,
October.
[37:37]
» And
I'm going to hold him to the end of
[37:41]
September. I will be calling him
somewhere around the 20th myself if I
[37:45]
hadn't heard.
>> He said the end of September 1st
[37:48]
October.
[37:51]
and Kender Morgan on that. Kinder Morgan
came last Thursday and they brought a
[37:59]
check for us for $20,000 to buy the two
new scoreboards for the school.
[38:04]
» We thank them for that.
>> They've done pretty good to our
[38:09]
community and they say they will do more
later.
[38:14]
» They're going to be here a while.
>> They put the line in. They will maintain
[38:19]
the gas line. And we still will be
collecting tax revenue.
[38:25]
» Yes, he's supposed to uh get me a number
on how much we'll probably get the first
[38:31]
year. I have not got it yet, but he did
tell me that last Thursday. He didn't
[38:36]
get that number for me. I hope we have
it before next Tuesday to let y'all know
[38:41]
about what we'll be expecting.
>> Will that be off the volume of gas that
[38:44]
goes through?
>> No, it's actually will be off the
[38:47]
depreciation of the line.
>> Okay. the gas sale will and and I I was
[38:53]
thinking the gas sales but he said it's
a depreciation of the line
[39:00]
which evidently
that might be a little more
[39:09]
» but u
any if no other questions get a motion
[39:15]
to adjourn.
>> Mr. Fridge is already done. I'll second
[39:18]
it.
>> All in favor?
[39:32]
» Everybody
[39:39]
has everybody got their committees.
No.
[39:43]
» What have you
