[0:00] All right. Welcome everybody to the local recreation commission meeting. Today is Wednesday, September 16th.
[0:06] The start time is 630 p.m. We have no appointments scheduled. We do have Jane will be voting for Stacey
[0:18] today for today's meeting.
[0:22] We're going to jump right into the director's report with Mr. Coleman Morgan and Brandon.
[0:27] All right, financial report. I will have an updated one for you for next meeting.
[0:32] I'll probably get to you before next meeting.
[0:34] Me and Brandon are working on that with finance right now, so we're getting close to being
[0:41] finalized, but I don't want to give you false numbers.
[0:43] So we're almost all caught up and special thank you to Jen and the financing for doing a lot
[0:49] of work right now. People should know that we have a brand new finance director.
[0:54] We do is getting to her feet on the ground and this is why things may be a little smoke.
[0:59] Yes, and we have some other way out on the office too for Totspap.
[1:02] Yes, so they're default.
[1:03] When did you start calling?
[1:05] Good morning.
[1:06] Good morning.
[1:07] Oh, you have teeth.
[1:08] Yeah, so.
[1:09] Good.
[1:10] And that position has also changed a little bit.
[1:16] That is assistant town administrator as well.
[1:19] So there's a little bit of, there's a little bit of learning on two different facets
[1:23] there, so she's a good person, she does a good job.
[1:28] All right, going right into Sponsor 6 premier sponsor to a 2,500 from Arthur Keith Moril Trust,
[1:36] Easter Sponsor 250 from AV Centers of American Provin Autism Care, Easter Sponsor 250 dollars

[2:26] and sender's sponsor, $150 from Milford Spartans.
[2:29] And he nanomissed the donation sponsor
[2:32] for adulting $1,500.
[2:35] Could I make a suggestion that we send that sponsorship list?
[2:42] Oh yes.
[2:43] Chris will have a lot of data, yes.
[2:44] Yes, that would be it has to go to him. Yes, 100% higher than him saying you folks need to go. Yes, sponsors
[2:51] Yes, what you already did
[2:56] Just aggravate people
[2:57] Sorry about that, but I was exactly. Yes
[3:01] That was the person he said when we walked in. Yeah, yeah, and I decided to certified letter to him and I will be at the
[3:07] I'll be at the I'll be at the next meeting and for Miss Lindsay's
[3:10] This is an incoming speech and I will hand in one as well.
[3:14] And this is only a short list of the sources we get all year.
[3:20] You can't keep picking on the same spots as all the time it's not fair.
[3:25] Very true.
[3:27] Thank you.
[3:28] The discussion items volunteer is our next event is going to be 10 to 10 or 11 helping with
[3:34] no-for-pumkin tests.
[3:35] We'll be doing the scarecrow's booth as Pumpkin Fest and we'll need the volunteers.
[3:39] a little bit of what dates we are looking for and what dates we need volunteers for.
[3:44] So we're filled for our covered 10 dates from 8 to 12 and 12, our looking for is Sunday,
[3:52] our cover 11 from 8 a.m. to 12 and then 12, 30 to 4. So once by open from 8 a.m. and then
[3:58] four spots up into the afternoon. We're really looking for somebody who's done it before so that
[4:02] after noon slot we have a lot of people that have done it in the we have I think once by looking
[4:07] for the morning.
[4:08] I'm trying to have that person who's been there
[4:10] at least once, to have that seniority role
[4:13] for each time slot, which is what we have
[4:15] except for that last position.
[4:18] So if I don't, yep, you're on the Saturday at 8 o'clock.
[4:22] Yeah, we'll pass it around and it's kind of really big for me.
[4:26] We'll bring you coffee.
[4:28] What do you mean when you show up, Expresso?
[4:31] I won't be there.
[4:32] Hey, it's Gabby, you're on my way.
[4:34] We're going to a wedding for my wedding.
[4:36] I don't know how to do it.
[4:37] I have no head sign.
[4:39] Not mine.
[4:40] Not mine.
[4:40] Not mine.
[4:40] I don't know.
[4:42] I don't know.
[4:43] I think what has some college kids coming from.
[4:51] Sponsorship has put your name down.
[4:53] Oh, go ahead.
[4:54] My personal secretary signed me up.
[4:56] Everyone have one.
[4:57] I'm wondering, it's worth some of you.
[5:00] I just want to think,
[5:02] Stacy, she did a revamp in 2026
[5:04] and Vicki who is our full admin administration has helped us even ramp it up for this year.
[5:11] So I want to give a shout-out to them for helping this out. Making it look the way it does.
[5:16] We're working with another program too to make sure this goes well.
[5:21] But yeah, this is the sponsorship level. We have premier sponsor $2,500.
[5:26] Mix tape madness is our new dance that we've been talking about.
[5:30] So we added that as a sponsor for a thousand.
[5:33] I did mention, again, the last meeting about summer concert series, we had that discussion
[5:38] with everyone here and it was pretty much unanimous that we did not want to go that route
[5:42] for the sponsorship, but we did have that in the sponsorship program at one point and then
[5:47] we removed it.
[5:49] So, because of what everyone is saying, and like I said, we do have sponsors and by adding
[5:55] that one, we are probably going to take away sponsorship from other ones that we are currently
[5:59] have
[6:00] who's watching McState madness
[6:04] not for work
[6:05] no no it's advertising
[6:06] four of you advertising for a spot
[6:09] trying to get a sponsor
[6:10] i could take away from other
[6:12] don't even know if we need to look
[6:15] to be looking for one
[6:16] get the cost of the
[6:18] the entrance
[6:19] it could cover it all
[6:21] it could cover it all
[6:22] but
[6:23] i think the sponsor i think it's one spot
[6:28] We'll try it, but that's the only thing we've added from this year, the only other thing we've changed the name of someone special dance to ties in TR's dance.
[6:38] Just to pressure it up a little bit and again everyone's included in that.
[6:45] Good.
[6:45] I think it looks great.
[6:49] So with approval of that too, the sponsorship we will start promoting it getting a live.
[6:55] We'll have a fillable PDF for this as well and get this out of the house, but I wanted to see if you guys approve it and go from there if there's anything you'd like us to change add. Let me know.
[7:08] So we have,
[7:17] and that question was that, and that is all the back.
[7:23] Yeah, if there's a sponsorship that a company is interested that we don't currently have,
[7:27] but they say, hey, we want to do this work definitely for you.
[7:30] We open to adding a new sponsorship. We take in any donation with approval from the Board. Can I say just recently said that for a little bit too much, please.
[7:41] I will make sure that we get a copy of this.
[7:49] We don't have to call the Council.
[7:52] It's right there.
[7:55] So I was burning after that.
[7:59] Thank
[8:01] you.
[8:04] All right.
[8:06] So, if everybody's good, nobody's got any questions.
[8:10] But let me tell you.
[8:11] They're looking for a motion to approve the 2027 sponsorship program as presented.
[8:17] Make a motion.
[8:18] We approve that as is presented.
[8:21] Ready, is there any discussion?
[8:23] So, Paul, motions, path, seconds, any discussion?
[8:28] On paper?
[8:29] I ask you, man, I'm just like, just a recap on CIP and I know Paul's on the PSC as well with Bethany.
[8:38] But basketball court, trying to get that redone in one year, starting to work on getting quotes for that.
[8:45] Peterborough just read it there, so I've been working with them to see how they went about that.
[8:50] So that's one project getting geared up to make fundraising for the bus.
[8:55] Like I said, our first bus we bought in 2020 was 50,000.
[8:58] I bought one in Jafri, three years ago now.
[9:01] That was 107,000, but the time we need one, it'll probably close to that 150 marker.
[9:08] So again, I think putting money from the revolving fund in and getting sponsors for the bus,
[9:12] but also putting a worn article for $15,000 or part of the CRF to when it's time to replace
[9:22] we have that.
[9:23] a lot of, we had a presentation on Monday with the board, we used the bus, we used, we did
[9:29] 26 trips not including the February vacation trips or the adventure camp. So we used the bus
[9:36] around 43 times, if a person needs an extra bus or we borrow theirs, they are our same with
[9:42] Jaffrey, we have a agreement with Primax, so it uses for that. We've done other things with share,
[9:50] Um, as a food drive and use it that way, we're willing to bring the kids down for the
[9:55] 9-11 or more of a service down there to go pick the chorus up and bring them down.
[10:00] So we can use that, not just for a recreation, but we can help the community in certain
[10:04] that's as well.
[10:05] So I'm just going to get notified of how to sign.
[10:08] And it is available.
[10:10] We had, yes.
[10:10] And we had like, the day care part and at one point, we've had some people actually rent the bus out.
[10:17] A lot of staff training, like what the fire has, 14 people and they want to, it is a town
[10:22] asset where they can go take one vehicle for training and things like that.
[10:26] So, even though it's not purchased by the town, it was purchased through donation.
[10:32] The first one was, yeah, the first one was completely donated, with three funders.
[10:37] When some were bought, some were sold from money.
[10:40] But 58,000 dollars, a lot different than 500,000 dollars.
[10:43] You speak so fast.
[10:45] I'm sorry.
[10:45] Say again about the.
[10:47] Warner article is.
[10:48] Yeah, so.
[10:48] What I would like to do is have the bus fund raise or to get the whole raise up in
[10:55] the free head monster.
[10:56] One being the Rob all in fun, we could put money at the end of the year into that fund.
[11:00] So we can put money towards it.
[11:04] Sponsorships.
[11:04] Once we get closer to that time.
[11:07] Probably two to three years out.
[11:08] We started sponsorship program for the bus.
[11:10] And then also a 15,000 more an article for four or five years.
[11:13] That puts it above 75, probably 50,000 out of revolving, and then maybe finish it off for 10 to 50,000 with sponsorship.
[11:21] It is my sense.
[11:23] No, no, for a fact.
[11:25] A new tablet administrator does not want additional warrant articles.
[11:31] We're trying to put it all together into the CRF.
[11:34] So the CRF does say vehicles in there.
[11:40] So, I'll have my say here because I've been on this for 12 years and I've seen a lot of things.
[11:47] And the things I've seen is when it all is lumped together like that.
[11:51] But this BOS can make a decision to use it for anything that even comes close to what's in that lump.
[11:59] And I don't like the lumping.
[12:01] So, explain the lumping, what's CRF?
[12:04] capital reserve fund. So that would be. Last year we created a capital reserve
[12:09] fund for recreation department for maintenance and facilities vehicle.
[12:20] That's a recreation revolver. It is not just the pool. It's not just the
[12:31] fields. It's anything basically to do a recreation. My concern is, I go way back in history.
[12:41] We had a CRF, we had a capital of surfer for Keyes Park. It was up to $75,000 that
[12:52] 100 proved $25,000 a year for the three years, and that was used by the VOS in order to do a study,
[13:04] or the citizens of this community had already done.
[13:08] The study was not referring to DV8 at all from what the citizen was had studied.
[13:14] in the rest of it was used because before we accepted that property before the BOS
[13:22] accepted one way to serve and they had to serve it. It wasn't
[13:26] surveyed before we accepted it, which I found really strange.
[13:30] So I just wanted general public to realize that we had had money here.
[13:36] It was used for a purpose that I personally am not in support of.
[13:42] And that's why you have difficulty with a broad CRF.
[13:49] But that's me.
[13:54] Sorry about that, sure.
[13:55] No, it's okay.
[13:56] I did originally have them broken down differently, as you guys know, two years ago, where
[13:59] we had a pool CRF, a bus CRF, and that way it would be for those specific line.
[14:06] I'm so, it's spelled out what those were for.
[14:08] that there was some pressure for us as a recreation to put it into one fund, that was a pressure
[14:18] to do that. Totally not in favor but, you know, both for it at the ballot. Yeah, not in favor
[14:25] of how it can be used. The way it is written, I don't think we can use it for studies and things
[14:32] like that, well that's what we thought. Again, the NASA's are back right now and I don't want to put
[14:37] all the pressure on her, but no, no, no, no, she chose the board to her commission here.
[14:42] It's a lot of things. They don't want to use it for studies. They want to use it for actual events.
[14:47] Actual events slash equipment upgrades and bring things up to her.
[14:52] And that capital is going to have five votes from the BOS.
[14:56] And that capital reserve, the BOS is the...
[15:13] We have
[15:19] the bus, we have the pool, we have the pool looking to put $30,000 into the CRF for upgrades. When I did the first
[15:34] round of CIP this year we were talking about the pool that which was another the other CIP project.
[15:41] After we did the CIP and went forward with that, I met with the pool company.
[15:45] Everyone know what CIP means, capital improvement plan.
[15:50] Sorry.
[15:51] That's all right.
[15:52] I'd like to general public to know what it means.
[15:55] A lot of acronyms.
[15:56] Too many.
[15:57] And the general public doesn't understand CRX and CIPs.
[16:02] There's a CIP committee, and I will tell you, having served on that committee, the basketball courts came in as critical.
[16:12] There was a critical need, a lot of votes as safety issue to critical is exactly why it came in as a critical need.
[16:22] So we're looking to put $30,000 or $140, $140,000 for the pool concrete for a couple of years.
[16:31] After we already did the CIP, the pool company came out and just said, just let you know,
[16:35] you have a six year old pool, this is going to have to be completely redundant.
[16:38] And then I went, okay, time out.
[16:41] Of course, where did this year for CIP?
[16:44] But that doesn't mean we can't take away for the $150,000 for the concrete.
[16:48] But that project's not going to be just the concrete.
[16:51] It's going to be the pool as a whole.
[16:53] And then we talked about the kiddie pool.
[16:55] Do we turn that into a splash pad?
[16:56] This is going to be one whole project I see a set of trying to...
[17:00] This makes sense for a brand new concrete down in then four years or five years later,
[17:04] tear up the pool in the concrete that we just put down.
[17:06] So we have to strategically plan this.
[17:09] Probably, it would probably be a bond.
[17:12] Again, we're not quite there.
[17:13] This is long-term planning.
[17:14] This is I'm thinking seven to ten years did you get support from the BOS to the other night for your long term for planning proposal?
[17:24] Did I get support?
[17:26] Did members of the BOS support the idea that the recreation is doing long term planning?
[17:34] I think so.
[17:36] I think I didn't hear anybody motion to support it.
[17:41] No, there wasn't a motion but I didn't hear any.
[17:42] Okay. Don't do this. I don't then. Yeah. I think here are any notes. That's right
[17:49] then and there. So again, we're going to continue. Hopefully, like I said, one
[17:54] project at a time, the key is working together with Leo and Mike. Improving that
[17:59] park means a lot to me. I think it just ended the community. It's come to a long
[18:04] way last two years and I want to continue one project at a time to bring it up
[18:11] to
[18:15] paint partitions flooring at the bathrooms in front days front desk of keys. I've
[18:21] been getting quotes and we're working with Mike but we're looking to see get the numbers
[18:25] in first see how much it would be to do all the partitions which are the bathroom dividers.
[18:33] New toilets, new sinks, painting of the walls and on epoxy floor. If anybody's been in that
[18:39] for it is beyond time for Andre dangerous so back in I think August maybe we
[18:50] did epic exercise I mean Paul this is the exter and we want to go see their
[18:56] community center but at the same time he mentioned Greg mentioned that they
[19:00] just did their pullhouse and I said do you mind showing us that because this might
[19:03] be another project and we're getting numbers from him and context from him it
[19:08] seemed not to astronomical of a mount to redo this and get it up.
[19:14] They look very nice inside and look well put together.
[19:17] It was also a very sanitary.
[19:19] Yes.
[19:19] Which are, I was just not necessarily always sanitary.
[19:23] Right.
[19:23] Because then epoxy is easily clean, easily sanitized.
[19:28] And slip resistant.
[19:30] Like, yes.
[19:31] You can almost impossible to slip on.
[19:33] Yeah, it's a slip-resistant, they had to hold like that like that, it was.
[19:39] Yeah, the splash pad, they did a rubber building with that, and that was really very,
[19:44] very nice, and there is citizens appear to love it, too.
[19:49] So I've been working with some outside contractors right now, having them come in, give us
[19:53] quotes, trying to put that full project together, roughly what the budget will be like,
[19:58] And then probably start reaching out to our friends, the groups in the town, Milford
[20:03] Lions, Rotoray, Keith's trust, see what we can get from them.
[20:07] Can we have our sponsorships?
[20:09] That's it.
[20:10] To get more sponsorships?
[20:12] Yeah, it's, again, getting funding like that for this type of project.
[20:18] Just as a side note, the epoxy, the finish on the floor, can be done by anyone, even
[20:24] us.
[20:25] it doesn't take a skill and craftsman to put down the epoxy finish.
[20:32] Just saying that is true.
[20:33] With a public facility, I would recommend going.
[20:37] I would recommend that also.
[20:38] I would recommend being there.
[20:40] Yeah, we're going to, we're definitely, obviously we're going to look at different painting and demo and stuff like that.
[20:45] Me, Brandon and Mike and some of the guys, I think we can do a lot of things.
[20:48] We can all fit you.
[20:49] Yeah, exactly.
[20:50] And I do recommend going that route with that, the painting and the demo and the petitions.
[20:54] Because that accidentally purchased all their partitions and they had their staff and stall that right we don't have the staff
[21:03] To install them, but that we could still be purchasing that stuff and then hiring a subcontracted
[21:09] A common do that installs there could be a local hitting me on that
[21:14] Yeah, like
[21:15] It doesn't look like it's too much, but again, we want to make sure when you slide the low-lock it locks and make sure it's every
[21:23] You mean you need to know how to put those in if you remind it of the general public
[21:30] We
[21:32] Built the dugouts
[21:35] We shared it. The dugouts didn't cost the town very much money at all
[21:40] Because the label was free we had donations for the materials. I believe we did
[21:49] I don't think it was a hundred percent donation. No, I was close. It was very close. Yeah, so
[21:54] It's very little money.
[21:56] Yeah.
[21:56] Yeah.
[21:57] What we did.
[21:57] We came out of our fund the rest of it.
[22:00] Yeah.
[22:03] We didn't break them.
[22:04] We didn't break them too bad, I guess.
[22:07] Somebody heard to say that.
[22:09] I was going to do a proxy for it.
[22:10] Yep.
[22:11] Perfect.
[22:12] So what he did for a long time?
[22:14] Oh, that's fantastic.
[22:17] I'm always hearing his voice.
[22:18] Fantastic.
[22:20] Yeah.
[22:21] I bring to people.
[22:22] Thank you.
[22:23] Yeah.
[22:25] I'm the song concrete.
[22:26] We're wonderful.
[22:30] Next tape madness. Four, 16 is the date that we're looking to do that. Paul and Bethany have been working very hard with finding a location, finding a DJ, and right now we've found both of those. Hampshire Hills was the clear winner. Nice to have supported in local and in town.
[22:49] Um, I did send the a budget, I think you guys have a copy of it.
[22:57] Um, so I'm looking for tonight so we can lock and guarantee our dates, uh, for that
[23:02] is approval to spend and get a budget for this event.
[23:07] Um, Hampshire Hills, within, like I said, a thousand and that's including if we did
[23:14] chips popcorn and snacks, which we don't have to do, we could bring our own cupcakes
[23:18] and cake and so we don't do cupcakes. This is not a celebration. I'll do chips, but it's
[23:25] mixed. If I'm having a beer I don't want to cupcake.
[23:30] It
[23:34] wasn't a lot of money. It's
[23:37] $2,300. It's $2,210. That's $210. For that's for everything. Any other food of DJ's purchase?
[23:46] Another one. Can they purchase food there? Yes. We can make arrangements
[23:50] with the kitchen, so that people can go early and purchase dinners and food, but you
[23:58] have to make arrangements at that time. So when we sell tickets, we should know that people
[24:04] may have the opportunity to build a new opportunity to purchase food through the kitchen
[24:10] at Hampton Hills. They just want to know ahead of time, because we're looking at 120 people
[24:17] possibly if we want to get a budget start planning this now and yeah believe it
[24:25] or not start marketing probably going to learn no member do so and are we
[24:30] thinking open up like pre-sale like sooner rather than later to see if we can
[24:34] just see what we can start building obviously we have a spot we have a
[24:39] sponsorship slot so if that's sponsorship slot gets satisfied gravy who I think
[24:45] I think we're gold, and there's no real concern, but obviously, I think we need to kind of see where I think we had initially looked at
[24:57] 15 dollars a person in 25 dollars a couple.
[25:02] Is that what you said?
[25:03] I think so.
[25:04] Next question.
[25:06] Thank you.
[25:06] 15 dollars and 25 dollars.
[25:09] Hang on, we have really, really great minutes.
[25:12] That's what a couple would look like.
[25:15] no could be anything any two people could be a couple so we don't want to have
[25:22] bias or prejudices against any organization of people so I think the proposal had
[25:28] that's in it so we're really just like in a break even more than anything we're
[25:32] looking very even and this is our first dance for older crowd I'd like it to
[25:39] be successful so that we'll have our next one we had looked at 12
[25:45] different venues.
[25:49] Hampshire Hills gave us the smallest population we could come up with.
[25:54] There were a couple of other venues that gave us up to 400 people, but we wanted to start small.
[26:03] So that we could get there. Yeah, sorry. Jumping back 15 or 25 is what you said.
[26:12] Yeah, I've seen per person, a minimum at, and then we said, us, a minimum point would be like 10, but that was, you guys were tossing around, possible of just doing it, like a minimum, and a minimum to donation sort of a thing, but I think we settled on the 15 to 25.
[26:34] And that takes care of the rental fee, it takes care of the DJ, you know, the contract for that.
[26:44] And we'll have a bartender, that's costed us a hundred dollars.
[26:48] So people will pay for their own drinks, right?
[26:52] And a naked devotee to the bartender, yeah, at the bar.
[26:56] And they've got 17% already built in for that, too.
[26:59] So, well, they have 17% built in for this service staff.
[27:03] Oh, for the service staff, I'll talk about a lot of bartender, okay, and we had said
[27:09] I believe we finalized that wait tablecloths at Boot and Amkins
[27:12] We got it right down to the depth. Yeah, hey, we don't mess around
[27:17] I mean, I
[27:20] It doesn't seem
[27:22] Obviously out of the or doesn't seem to extraordinary to me. I don't seem like it's a real
[27:26] Yes, it's it's it's it's it's a little bit higher of an of an expense
[27:30] That's what we normally would run with.
[27:33] Something that holds you here in downtown hall, but.
[27:36] Was it deposit?
[27:37] Six hundred.
[27:38] Was it six hundred?
[27:40] It does it in seven.
[27:42] Just like the laws of the laws.
[27:47] That's.
[27:48] That's.
[27:48] That's.
[27:48] That's.
[27:48] That's.
[27:48] That's.
[27:49] That's.
[27:49] It's.
[27:49] That's.
[27:49] That's.
[27:50] That's.
[27:51] That's.
[27:54] That's.
[27:55] so most we can lose is 300.
[27:58] That doesn't count to DJ, right?
[27:59] It would day require a deposit.
[28:01] Yeah, he provides day and day.
[28:04] Oh, that's what day they're worth.
[28:05] They would work with it.
[28:06] It would work with it.
[28:06] Day and day I don't think this would be a loss
[28:08] to be like a migration.
[28:10] So I have that day at another day.
[28:12] And like I said, we'll know.
[28:14] We'll know more at a week.
[28:14] I ahead of time.
[28:15] I mean, it's easily.
[28:16] I guess I'll not go on a winter or no snow.
[28:19] Well, if there's snow, there's snow work in it.
[28:21] Oh, we've got to call it, at a certain point, the only place.
[28:24] Yeah, so I guess that's not how many people are we gonna like required to run it. Oh, I think we
[28:32] Turn on it. I don't think it's I don't think it's gonna need to be any they're gonna have to do, but tickets like
[28:37] Take it's at the front door. I don't know how you want it. We do a roster. I don't know
[28:42] We require 50 people to show up for us to run it. No
[28:47] No matter what kind of a thing. Well, I think that I think that's what we'll see like where we're going. Yeah
[28:52] I think this is more of an approval for deposits to go out and wreck the apartment to start marketing
[28:59] and get a wreck that's gonna wreck that slot opened up with, you know, open up.
[29:07] I think we should open up pre-sales like now, absolutely, and just see, I mean, market
[29:11] we blasted, we see what happens.
[29:13] six kids that want to buy the tickets now, you know my wife and her daughters, you know my wife and
[29:22] her daughters, all right so all we have is the date because we have another volunteer thing for
[29:29] ourselves new school, that weekend.
[29:36] There's a mother son dance that we're probably volunteering.
[29:41] So you might not have either about fond of hearing.
[29:44] The reason we picked the sixties because we had initially picked the different date was that the other date ran into some holidays.
[29:53] And school vacation.
[29:55] On a high sign and put this, 100% had tried to put this on our house.
[30:00] It's a middle of two other events, two invasions of other things.
[30:08] So, I mean, I mean, I motion to approve the deposits, the deposits for both
[30:19] Hampshire Hills and Dave to get the get the date locked in and getting, you know,
[30:24] rep are going to work staff to start, you get approval for the whole event and if we
[30:31] won't spend until we get out there, I mean, we can approve the whole, I mean, I approve
[30:38] the whole event, obviously, we'll look at it as we get a little bit closer on paying that,
[30:42] but just to bring it up.
[30:43] Yeah, I think we feel we're going to do this.
[30:46] Yeah.
[30:46] So, let me restate that. Motion to approve the entire event, let us, with the 1000,
[30:58] with the deposit, it's cool.
[31:01] What the deposit is quoted?
[31:05] If everyone could cut in the 1000, that is 400.
[31:12] It's the only a $500 deposit.
[31:17] It's the only a $50 deposit.
[31:19] It's the only a $50 deposit.
[31:22] So, here we go.
[31:25] So, in this all I did.
[31:27] So, all right.
[31:28] Motion to approve the adult's only dance has presented.
[31:33] I would like the second that motion.
[31:35] Perfect.
[31:36] Paul seconds.
[31:37] Any discussion?
[31:39] All in favour?
[31:40] pass you man I was like thank you if this works out we plan on having one
[31:46] every here yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
[31:53] changed theme and possibly we could change the venue because we had another venue
[31:58] there would have been really really good but we could have brought our own food
[32:04] however it was a little bit pricy we really wanted to start small
[32:08] I think building up the anticipation to it, and if we can get it rolling, I think that that would not be at a wrong rating.
[32:21] Because we looked at so many venues that the park heat was a problem.
[32:25] We looked at 12 venues to
[32:32] take five, we're not allowed alcohol.
[32:35] Because we were public facilities.
[32:37] We were trying to haul me in one of them.
[32:39] Yeah.
[32:40] Yeah.
[32:40] And we looked at both of them and they said we found this one.
[32:46] But I mean, I think that's for what you get it.
[32:48] For what you're getting, I think that's a very reasonable question.
[32:52] So awesome.
[32:54] And we'll see what Presale does for us.
[32:57] And we'll see what is made up for adults.
[33:00] There you go.
[33:01] And if you feel it's will provide babysitting, NFC.
[33:06] But we have to work that out with them.
[33:08] So if you had little ones, yeah, and you wanted to come out for three hours of dancing, and
[33:16] Rack Desk are you able with something like that could you put it as an add-on and be able to toggle and if at a zero dollar add-on
[33:25] I'd be interested in purchasing food. I'd be looking for
[33:30] I know kind of you know sort of a thing and then I mean, I think the because we're not we wouldn't be collecting the money
[33:37] We want to be collecting the money for daycare. They be paying us. That's a separate issue.
[33:44] So, I don't have shoes. We'll offer it if they have enough people.
[33:48] Yeah. I guess we'll have to.
[33:50] I am out there.
[33:51] Well, I am out there.
[33:54] Because we may have to capture that.
[34:01] Because they're not going to want to swipe everybody's credit card for 25 dollars.
[34:06] So we may have to capture that at ticket sale time and then cut them and check me me.
[34:12] Yeah, I think we'll be recommend that.
[34:13] So if they agree on that.
[34:16] Right, so we have to pay for tickets.
[34:18] So we're going to do these things that I've run you phone with.
[34:25] I don't think that has any ticket management.
[34:32] We could send stuff out or save my cost.
[34:35] We can just do that.
[34:35] we just did the roster and that works pretty well.
[34:39] Especially with 125, that's no problem.
[34:41] It's two or three shades of max.
[34:42] Check the people name on.
[34:43] Move on.
[34:44] Yeah, because it does make a rock.
[34:46] If we want to form, we'll take it.
[34:47] We could do that, but the three sales people
[34:49] want to verification that they paid.
[34:51] Yep, they're going to need mail right away.
[34:53] Yeah, as soon as I see.
[34:54] Yeah, it's just not a ticket.
[34:56] And it's just, here you go.
[34:57] We can put it on there and see it.
[34:58] This is your ticket or your confirmation.
[34:59] We can carry that up there.
[35:00] Are you able to open up pre-sale without capturing money?
[35:06] And then you can't you can't push out or remind her to pay I
[35:10] Well, I'm just thinking if if if something happens and you only get and then you got to refund all of that is that
[35:18] Not really come not really it gets less less
[35:22] Less hassle than trying to get money after the fact
[35:27] Commission letter about the summer concert series. Like I said you guys had your voice last meeting. Yep
[35:34] We use the music
[35:35] I did, so I think that that got missed.
[35:39] We had a couple of volleys back and forth, so what I'm going to do is I'm going to send
[35:43] out tonight, I'm going to send out the MOU, because there's an issue getting that open
[35:48] and printing in it, and the Commission letter, we're not, we don't need to sign it like
[35:57] the second either.
[35:58] We're getting into warrant season, it's not time to present that to the board, we want
[36:02] present that to the board at the time that warrants are starting, so that way it's there.
[36:09] So you guys can just review that, not my next meeting will kind of, you know, will approve
[36:14] or edit whatever we need to edit and then sign that and then get that over to the PAC and
[36:18] hopefully we can get PAC support on that budget advisory committee and I think we will have that.
[36:28] And then once we have that through BAC&A, hopefully they support us with it, then we'll come to a BLS to BLS and present that to the BLS employees and a lot of things today, but that's okay.
[36:45] At a tough day.
[36:47] 495 is stressful.
[36:48] I think you're not saying no.
[36:52] My biggest concern is we do not give the Board of Selecting an option.
[36:58] One of the letters, there was an option.
[37:03] So what I did was the original letter that I had.
[37:11] There's a copy of the, I marked it all up.
[37:15] So everybody had the original letter with all of the Markups with what you have provided.
[37:21] And then I provided a clean copy, which was basically all of your edits with,
[37:27] spelling correction.
[37:30] Just though everybody had visibility as to what was there, what's been removed, where we stand.
[37:38] And then, obviously, everybody's in favor of that. Everybody was already in favor of it originally.
[37:45] I just want everybody to make sure that they have a chance to read through it fully before they're putting their name on it.
[37:50] Just like people to understand why I don't think it should go into the town budget.
[37:55] And it should go as a separate one article.
[37:58] We all understand that separate one articles have to be spent only for that purpose.
[38:05] The town budget, we had this in the town budget years ago.
[38:11] And one of the first things, this 20th, the three or more years ago, it was more than that.
[38:19] I've been on here 12 years, so I was probably 14 years ago.
[38:23] At that time that particular board of select button group decided that since it was in the budget and it's a bottom line budget, they cut it and they had the right to cut it because it was a line item in the budget when it's a worn article they can't cut it if the town approves it and you did very nice research on the approval rate it was high.
[38:49] That was John and Sam.
[38:51] That was just going back.
[38:53] That was a great high.
[38:54] That's just going back through all of the annual reports and grabbing that information.
[38:59] But it is about a two-thirds vote every time that they get approved.
[39:02] So for 23 years.
[39:04] And that money cannot be spent for another purpose.
[39:07] The other order select one cannot say,
[39:10] Well, we'd like to do this in this with it.
[39:12] And it hasn't changed in 23 years.
[39:15] It's been nine miles.
[39:16] So we haven't raised it. We're not looking. It's been that way for I'm not saying that's how it should be
[39:22] Because we always done it that way, but and at our it's very small money. I think for what we get out of it as a community
[39:30] How are you to say 100,000 dollars?
[39:33] I mean, it's plus
[39:34] Yeah, it's always proven. I think it's the right thing is to give the people the same, and that's how I agree
[39:42] If they say no, that we look at fundraising, they will say no, they say no.
[39:46] That's the only advantage of making it in the budget is that it's there, but it's not there, according to you.
[39:53] It's there, but it can be removed.
[39:57] It would take a vote.
[39:59] It would take a vote.
[40:00] It would take.
[40:00] Appreciate the summer concerts every town has them and they're well attended.
[40:05] So I don't think, I don't think, I don't think, I don't think, I don't think.
[40:11] the board as a whole, right, um, I don't think the board as a whole has necessarily even
[40:18] has a problem with the summer concerts. There is one member that is, that feels that it
[40:24] would be better suited to be a sponsorship. We're a company could get their advertising
[40:29] part part. I get that. However, I'd like to, I'd like to leverage that, I'd like to leverage
[40:34] that person for my next boss and I put up a big logo on the side of it. You know, that's
[40:39] What I said, that's not registered in this state.
[40:45] We didn't mention the company, so I could say that.
[40:49] Why are we trying to change so much for one member, so I think we should.
[40:53] Yeah, so at the end of the day, if there's a deficiency in the budget,
[40:57] something will say snow removal went over.
[41:01] They could take that, and that can be reallocated because that is a necessary town function
[41:10] that must, that you can't run out of salt, you just, you can't, so, and that's, that's, that's where, that's why, that's why we're a question with, if we ever did go into the sponsor row, is who is now in charge, is it me picking the sponsor for the band, now the sponsors upset because they had this band and that's not the band they wanted.
[41:32] If he runs a whole different dynamic than where maybe here's all the bands bring the sponsors in and they pick from there
[41:40] I don't know but it becomes definitely more of like I wouldn't I wouldn't even know.
[41:44] And that wouldn't be if if we had to go that route it would be
[41:48] we have
[41:49] 7 we have
[41:51] 1000 dollars slots available
[41:54] or whatever or
[41:55] 18
[41:56] 500 dollars slots
[41:58] and
[41:58] you are funding
[42:00] bands
[42:01] And that's how that's how I wouldn't know if it's how I would look at it if I was if that's upset because yes
[42:07] When I didn't get so in so's
[42:10] Business got this I don't feel like I got the same value. Yeah, it becomes a little bit of a
[42:15] Break area too tough to me and it's for sure
[42:19] So good bands this year, so you did it. Thank you. Really good fans trying to always get a variety
[42:27] It will attend it. Yes, I had you said that a few
[42:31] in the accounts and there was over 100 over 100 and everyone and it was like two to three hundred
[42:38] at the last one. Yeah. We're over two, 50, I heard that. So very well, it's ended.
[42:44] Easter update. We talked last month about doing indoor probably for Easter because I believe Easter
[42:52] is really, it's a March 20th, it would be the event. I think Easter's March 28th. So
[43:00] with just mother nature and the history of this. I think we could do something differently
[43:07] for Easter. Now do I have that? 100% set? No, but I wanted to get you guys input to see
[43:13] what you hear. If there's anybody that has an event down south, down west, couple towns. I
[43:19] wouldn't want to steal something right next door. But again, I'm looking for new ideas. I
[43:24] know we do a breakfast with Santa. We could do a breakfast. We could do something else. But
[43:28] I think just the stations is, we need change.
[43:33] It just, it needs to be changed from an indoor for that.
[43:37] So now that we kind of, we can probably
[43:40] move this planet accordingly, for inside,
[43:43] and come up with a new idea and revamp this a little bit.
[43:48] I agree.
[43:49] If anybody has thoughts, again, probably next meeting,
[43:52] I want to confirm what we're doing.
[43:54] Do what are your thoughts?
[43:56] What do you have?
[43:57] What do you two have going through your brain?
[44:01] Obviously you want change, and we're like, yeah, I don't think that the pool, I think we're all in agreement that change is great.
[44:10] I think a breakfast and an activity would be cool.
[44:15] I think we could do something in the Bankwood Hall, and we could cook out of there too.
[44:19] But maybe we could do some tables, like a new shape in the back, and do an arts and crafts, something along that end.
[44:28] Depending on money, we can maybe bring in a performer or something like that.
[44:32] Maybe a show along that.
[44:34] Just something, I'm up different.
[44:37] So, like I said, I'll keep my ears open and I'm going to start seriously.
[44:40] Sure.
[44:41] We have nationals coming up in two weeks.
[44:43] I'm going to be reaching out to my other recreation professionals
[44:46] from all over the country and say, hey, you guys do.
[44:49] So, okay.
[44:51] Very good.
[44:52] Okay.
[44:53] One thing on the discussion item that I did not put on,
[44:56] I met with Rectus this morning with
[45:00] Our finance director and we have been talking about right now we have card works in authorize.net as our credit card processing.
[45:08] Reckless has their own. So we could be using the same software in the same credit card in the same system.
[45:15] She showed me in Brandon this morning is a button on our software and I can see all the financial data there's no going fun, three different screens and three different programs.
[45:23] or waiting for finance to run your report or yes so again and it's I always say
[45:30] I'm a big support to wrap this it's very user-friendly week we're on for five minutes and I
[45:36] I think we both feel comfortable with everything they said the other thing that we talked about
[45:41] is putting the fees on the users for credit cards right now where you're paying those fees through the
[45:45] revolving funds so it is going to increase people using credit cards I would give seniors of mailing
[45:52] and just saying, hey, heads up, this is gonna be happening, give them 30 days to 60 day window.
[45:59] Ideally, and just say this is gonna happen.
[46:02] But it's 3.25% for credit cards, with a 25% addition on that.
[46:09] So 25 cents no matter what, and then 3.25% of the purchase, which right now, if you look at other rates,
[46:15] we're talking 3.99 to 4.25.
[46:17] So, the rate is reasonable, and that's for all parts, it's for all cards.
[46:23] But with this system, we wouldn't need to purchase, I call it controllers, I don't know.
[46:28] Yeah, handheld credit card, yeah, stuff.
[46:32] What I would recommend is we buy two right now, when we get rid of the credit card fees, we'll
[46:39] be bringing in more money.
[46:41] By that time we'll have, by doing this in November, we'll have enough money that we've brought
[46:45] couple extra thousand by a third for the pool. So we have three AK of the one at the pool breaks
[46:55] or one of ours breaks. I think having three just as a backup in functional would be great.
[47:02] So two with us and then one mobile at the pool and for other events we can just take it.
[47:09] You look too hard wired in. It's a sole device that operates by itself. It doesn't need a phone
[47:14] tablet or anything right? No. With this we can take Apple pay. We can take all
[47:18] credit cards right now. We only take three different types of credit cards. So
[47:21] we have a Merry Express. We can take now. You don't want to take American Express.
[47:27] We put with that. They will, if someone ever disputes the charge, they will always go
[47:33] with the consumer. They don't care about. They don't care about the business.
[47:39] So how much of these yellow chose?
[47:42] I believe $5.44 for the permanent ones,
[47:45] which they recommend for long-jabby reasons.
[47:47] The wireless ones, again, for a pool or something like that.
[47:50] Seasonals, it's about $560, I believe.
[47:53] So I'm looking for approval for $1,100 to buy two ready to go.
[48:01] The only question I have is, is finance okay with all this?
[48:04] You've met with her.
[48:05] I met with her, we got a talk to Lori, just confirmed, with contracts, which I will do before we
[48:11] bought, but I didn't want to wait till next meet-in.
[48:14] Yeah.
[48:14] We just talked about that.
[48:15] We had talked about this.
[48:16] They'd already done a couple of demos.
[48:17] My goal is to get this going for November 1st.
[48:20] I didn't want to do it October 1st because we're both gone at national's.
[48:24] I don't want to test new stuff while we're gone.
[48:26] So, so I'll make a proposal that the motion that we fund the handheld card readers that
[48:37] cost of $1,100 as long as finance in this town administrator agree with our proposal.
[48:47] Perfect.
[48:48] Paul Motion to approve.
[48:50] Kirsten, second.
[48:51] Any discussion?
[48:52] I have one other question.
[48:53] Um, with Rectask online, are we allowing for bank transfers or ACH payments versus
[48:59] they have letters on their toe?
[49:01] Venmo.
[49:02] Wait me and, um, Jen are working on that.
[49:05] So yeah, that sounds.
[49:07] I have no idea what Venmo is, but my kids use it all the time.
[49:10] I'm going to say no.
[49:12] So, thank you.
[49:14] I know what it was like.
[49:15] That was nice.
[49:16] It's a really check.
[49:18] We're going to be looking into that as well.
[49:20] So, okay. Good. I think I, I, then most, their customer service is just horrendous, but I think I, I think that we could get.
[49:31] I think you guys would be able to get at least get it set up to be able to work on, to work on some phones and get a couple of logins that would work for rack.
[49:42] But yeah, their customer service, like, don't expect like we did it.
[49:46] And you turn it for the dog park.
[49:47] We order to do a little QR code thing, nothing worked.
[49:51] It wouldn't sink.
[49:52] It wouldn't turn on.
[49:53] I tried calling them and they're like,
[49:54] oh, you need to wait.
[49:55] I'm like, what do I need to wait for my account's been made
[49:57] for years?
[49:58] You know, like, oh, you have to wait.
[49:59] I'm like, nothing.
[50:00] If you ever need help with it.
[50:03] Yeah.
[50:03] That's the only, that's the only downfall with it.
[50:06] But I think that that's, yeah, I know it would be
[50:09] through payment.
[50:11] Like, no, it's the only downfall.
[50:13] ACH, the same payment, the same car, the same mission.
[50:16] can be a fee for an AC age and be a little less than three things for one person.
[50:21] It's usually not a percentage, it's usually like a dollar they sell or like a flat
[50:25] fee.
[50:26] Okay, because that may be,
[50:33] yeah, I mean, I think that that's, I think having ACH is definitely
[50:39] a better option for us to have, first, to have available, because it's an ACH.
[50:47] It's a bunch of check.
[50:49] Okay, bank transfer basically.
[50:51] And is there's not as much cost with like credit cards?
[50:56] Like for instance, like the daycares, they'll do a deal. They'll do credit cards, but it's a $1 fee for no matter how much money we do in ACH.
[51:04] So we prefer ACH.
[51:07] So you pass the cost and credit stand for
[51:13] something, something clearing house, I think.
[51:18] It's a something clearing house.
[51:20] You've got Google see
[51:28] what's gonna get to the first it is clearing out automated clearing out automatic clearing out
[51:34] Very much, so brought me into the soon-set tree cool
[51:40] So good, I'm good
[51:47] All right, then all in favor
[51:59] programs and trips. Cool, appreciate it. It has printed.
[52:09] Yeah, we talked. We talked about ways to lie.
[52:13] No, you're good.
[52:14] And where is this wedding so we can all look at?
[52:17] Somewhere in Maine that's like a primary drive from here.
[52:22] Yeah. Anyways, events coming up we have our volunteers,
[52:27] Scarborough is a pump and festival. I said that.
[52:30] I'm not the list, I know.
[52:32] Yeah, here it is. Here it is. Here it is. Here it is.
[52:36] Like I said earlier, we're looking for a few more. I know it's less than a month away. I would like to have
[52:40] all those spots litified, John and I are in the same page before I head out for that weekend.
[52:45] So, he knows what it's going on and if he has any questions I can always pick up the amount.
[52:51] And I want you to get the list litified.
[52:53] Or do you send out a confirmation? Absolutely. Absolutely.
[52:56] We've been waiting for eight days leading up to get forget to it's okay. You can come back on our door, too
[53:02] Other high school kids
[53:04] Is service hours I sent it out today again and I posted on Facebook. Okay, what's the high school is I have reached out are looking for Saturday
[53:14] So unfortunately those spots are already filled and I get it. It's a long weekend and we'll be making our trip over to the
[53:25] as the nurses are the second meeting that they meet is bringing the new freshmen on.
[53:32] So I make sure that we have the whole group in front of us when we do our
[53:35] field.
[53:36] And then we give them a list of all the events that we have throughout the year.
[53:40] So that way they have a whole schedule we'll have from October to June.
[53:46] So we'll let me ahead of this weekend or after this week.
[53:51] We need to be able to read that.
[53:52] It's going to be before.
[53:53] probably be before but again I don't want to rely on that yeah and obviously I'll be
[53:59] probably the Michael I think I'm pretty sure I'm around that entire weekend so if
[54:03] something pops up or whatever yeah I'm on I'm filled in on Sunday Sunday afternoon so
[54:15] I close an up shop like I usually do.
[54:19] You should.
[54:20] And then we have our annual trick on the Oval event.
[54:24] We're looking for three volunteers.
[54:26] I know Paul likes to hand out candy.
[54:29] That's an A and I said we would do it.
[54:31] And I know we have.
[54:32] Yeah.
[54:33] Let's see that.
[54:35] We have one of our seniors over at the mills.
[54:38] She came and knocked on our door there.
[54:39] She wants to be a part of it.
[54:40] She wants to be a part of it.
[54:41] She wants to be a part of it.
[54:41] So her name's Barb.
[54:44] Yep, and again, I don't know if that would be true.
[54:47] I just picked one suggestion for that for next year.
[54:50] I could do it like a week for a week.
[54:52] Two weeks.
[54:52] Two weeks.
[54:53] Always the product for all.
[54:56] Yeah.
[54:56] But Halloween is scattered.
[54:58] It's usually like a week.
[54:59] Like usually get one weekend where you go to treating on the old,
[55:02] and then the next week is the Halloween.
[55:04] So it's like not two nights in a row.
[55:07] It's a little.
[55:07] It's going to be tough.
[55:09] I've heard a few people.
[55:11] Oh yeah.
[55:11] My son will love it.
[55:12] I am going to.
[55:14] Yeah, you can do it.
[55:15] You can do it.
[55:15] Yeah, people have been sorry.
[55:17] But it keeps it coming.
[55:18] Did it come and trick-a-true it on the old world?
[55:19] They usually hold a little one.
[55:21] Yeah, they actually hold it at night, maybe so.
[55:24] I know.
[55:26] He's three-and-a.
[55:27] I've just been going to do it last year.
[55:30] No, no.
[55:30] No one was all about it when he was little going out but now he's like, I just want to
[55:34] stand out, candy.
[55:35] No, we're not going out.
[55:36] So it was a little different.
[55:38] Yeah, yeah.
[55:39] Yeah, apparently some of his friends are the same way, so I don't know if it's like a weird age thing like they've hit the five
[55:51] Anyways, so I went around the over the other day to get businesses and we're at
[55:55] eight or nine businesses already
[55:58] Looking help
[56:01] Can't eat so
[56:03] And they get the balloons and they get the balloons so John and I will go around on that Friday and wind up balloons
[56:08] It just business is on the oval, but...
[56:11] No, we have businesses.
[56:12] You have a table like on the table.
[56:13] You've been in the middle of the...
[56:15] Yeah, we have a few people.
[56:15] Everyone's welcome, so if they want to set up a table
[56:18] in the oval, for those who are further back,
[56:22] or even anywhere from town or non-profit,
[56:24] absolutely, they can set up a table
[56:25] which is called a set of the right department.
[56:26] We'll put you on the right.
[56:27] Do we accept the liticles?
[56:31] I don't think so.
[56:33] There you go, I like that.
[56:34] Okay.
[56:35] In the past, I know that we haven't.
[56:39] But I was going to ask about my real estate if I could do a table from my real estate.
[56:43] Absolutely.
[56:43] I'll put your name on the list.
[56:46] Yeah.
[56:47] Whatever the fee is.
[56:49] There's no fee.
[56:50] No fee.
[56:50] Just bring a lot of money.
[56:51] Provide your own candy.
[56:52] And if you want to dress up there, I'm not worth it.
[56:54] Not for 500 kids.
[56:57] Yeah.
[56:57] It's up to you.
[56:58] If you want to do one piece, two piece, three pieces.
[57:00] But I normally say it for a pair for 500 kids.
[57:04] Yeah, sure.
[57:04] This one can't be shopping the other day.
[57:06] Yeah.
[57:08] Yeah, I think that'll be here like yeah, yeah, and we got breakfast with Santa stuff too.
[57:14] But that's quite all righty.
[57:15] Yeah, all right.
[57:17] Our puzzle plosal, we are up to five teams.
[57:20] I switched it from 500 piece to 750 to add a moral of the challenge.
[57:25] I know there's something to four that are finishing in 40 minutes.
[57:28] So I kind of want them to stay at the two hours and get a little more competitive.
[57:33] So I changed that up a little bit.
[57:35] Hopefully we're looking to get some more.
[57:38] Our senior holiday luncheon, that number changed from 37 to 41.
[57:44] Donna, expect more than 80 seniors for our senior holiday luncheon.
[57:49] We had over 100, no matter last year.
[57:53] Of course we've had a few past away.
[57:55] Yeah, lots of people.
[57:55] And we're going to use the same.
[57:57] Well, it has to be too catering.
[57:59] I'm trying to get my parents.
[58:01] Do it.
[58:02] Do it.
[58:02] The food is fantastic.
[58:05] Absolutely.
[58:06] It's enough for two.
[58:06] Two cities.
[58:09] Our breakfast is Santa.
[58:10] We've been.
[58:12] Oh, everything got sold.
[58:13] Yeah, we weren't ready.
[58:14] We're ready.
[58:15] We're ready.
[58:16] Yeah.
[58:16] I'd call it last week.
[58:20] So yeah, we're good.
[58:21] Breakfast is Santa.
[58:22] That number has changed from 19 people to 22.
[58:26] And then John mentioned that ties into Yara's and Easter event.
[58:31] And then the mixed tape madness we've also talked about, so let's go over those.
[58:38] Highlighting some of our September trips that we've done to this point, we went to the
[58:43] Boston Red Sox strip.
[58:44] We had 10 on that trip, unfortunately.
[58:48] It was a rainy day, so most people canceled the rain, which is totally okay.
[58:54] The Red Sox didn't win, but it was a good time, we had good seats, good view of the degree
[58:58] and hopefully the red sauce can make a playoff.
[59:03] Casting the clouds, lead us to our group of seniors up there,
[59:07] nothing but a positive. It was awesome.
[59:09] That a nice view on the lake.
[59:12] And great restaurant and a good tour of the mansion.
[59:17] I remember in John Denver, tribute.
[59:19] Show is tomorrow.
[59:21] We did have someone cancel so we went to 13 on 14.
[59:25] So we have good numbers for that.
[59:30] Our Apple Picking chip, unfortunately, that person does not want to go any more threat.
[59:35] Zero.
[59:35] So hopefully, if people and seniors and parents want to go Apple Picking, we can take them.
[59:43] So, if not, it's okay.
[59:44] It's trying something new.
[59:46] Our Meredith scenic railroad.
[59:50] We actually are partnering with Jaffrey on that, the bus.
[59:53] Um, so we had enough to fill two trips on October 15th and that number of 20 h-
[1:00:00] That's changed now to 26 out of 38. So, and that's a month away. So, that trip is definitely going to fill. It's a nice train trip around the
[1:00:10] the leaks with fall foliage and heart strike you found for lunch. So, delicious. Very good meal. Our Nash casino trip. We have 6 out of 14. We're definitely going to go on that one. We have a few seniors that really love to just love gambling.
[1:00:25] I'm going to the casino and whatnot so and they bring me to go so I kind of have to take my
[1:00:31] this point.
[1:00:32] I mean you got six out of 14 so yeah, they're all the time too yeah, our November 14th
[1:00:39] New York City trip we are full and I just want to shout out thank you first thank you
[1:00:45] Stacy for volunteering coming with me that day and we have actually have eight on the
[1:00:49] weight list so yeah actually sold out of that event for that trip I think
[1:00:55] like we can have after our last meeting, so it was kind of crazy.
[1:01:01] Should we be thinking about a second one?
[1:01:03] We're gonna look at the week list.
[1:01:04] But I'm saying like, throughout the year, not in the middle.
[1:01:09] Yeah.
[1:01:09] Yeah.
[1:01:09] No, no, no, no, no.
[1:01:10] I mean, it's a lot.
[1:01:11] We can't do it.
[1:01:12] We can't do it on people.
[1:01:14] I would love like an April or something in me.
[1:01:16] It's pretty.
[1:01:17] It's pretty cool.
[1:01:18] Yeah.
[1:01:19] We went one time in spring.
[1:01:20] We went to like the zoo.
[1:01:22] Like the brush.
[1:01:22] Yeah, that was rainy.
[1:01:25] He wasn't rainy, but we still have to wrap it up.
[1:01:29] And then we were in the taxi with the Bangladesh Indian and that was scary drive.
[1:01:35] Not really.
[1:01:36] Oh yeah.
[1:01:37] Yeah, we were double parked.
[1:01:38] He was like, get me out of here.
[1:01:44] Continuing on, we have all of our trips for the end of the year.
[1:01:49] We have a festival of trees and a through a mass.
[1:01:51] We actually have 10 out of 14 already signed up, that's where it's one of the biggest in New
[1:01:56] England people that create trees and it's a competition, seniors can walk around and enjoy
[1:02:02] the the Christmas trees, the presence, the ornaments, the tints, all that so you can buy
[1:02:08] a raffle ticket.
[1:02:09] It's kind of like somewhere with our tree in the button here.
[1:02:11] He's 17.
[1:02:11] Way bigger and it's in a bigger hall, so.
[1:02:13] Have we already approved Stacey for a tree event?
[1:02:16] Yeah.
[1:02:18] Yeah.
[1:02:18] Alan Nard donated a tree and he gave Stacey okay, she's like I need money. I need to start. I need to start shot
[1:02:29] And then we're gonna be taking actually one of our seniors on the Red Sox trip
[1:02:33] Matching going to watch a Christmas car on the Manchester Palace theater and so look the next day
[1:02:40] I was looking at tickets and I thought after talking to John about it the best day we could think about was Saturday, December 5
[1:02:48] That's the only reasonable time the time for that play is at 230 so our seniors don't getting the week days
[1:02:53] We're 7th or 30 or 30 for our seniors. Yeah, that's too late for them especially with the tail lights
[1:02:59] In this
[1:03:01] Red Sox
[1:03:03] The trip for Red Sox was two weeks ago and I've been promoting this for two weeks already. I'll have people
[1:03:09] Definitely I good job. Thank you
[1:03:13] Moving on to follow winter programs, Bingo, where I ever drink about between five to five
[1:03:18] or five seniors. It's great turnout every time. Adulting 101 with Bethany, right three
[1:03:25] people, but I've been reaching out to Jill Laro at the SAU to help promote adulting in
[1:03:32] some of our other programs too.
[1:03:35] So I know that that was, I got some feedback from people at the school district and they
[1:03:41] I don't even know you guys, we didn't even know that all of us were going on so they really, I know that I know that I've kidd down
[1:03:47] 18 last year or something
[1:03:49] The kids were watching much less
[1:03:51] Yeah, 14
[1:03:52] The cats and stuff on vacation weeks and they
[1:03:55] Yeah, it was
[1:03:57] It was
[1:03:57] It seemed a good feedback
[1:03:58] So yeah, we're trying to get it again back into the schools and every year when it starts
[1:04:02] It's something
[1:04:03] I understand the mass flood of every document coming to the parents
[1:04:07] So we try to
[1:04:09] let the sea calm a little bit and that's the nurse stuff of the event of September.
[1:04:13] So I just want to say thank you to Bethany for taking on that program. She's been rocking it for the past two years doing it.
[1:04:20] So now I'm on the work so thank you Bethany. I don't know if she's not here but I just want to get that shot out to her.
[1:04:27] You may see a cult who I've asked about pick up on there.
[1:04:30] John and I have met with the boys in first blood at the end of the summer and we're came to conclusion.
[1:04:37] We want to have more adult programs, and especially with the basketball court, all right keys.
[1:04:44] It's not really an ideal location to have it. So we are partnering up with the
[1:04:48] Boys and Girls sub 2 run an adult basketball program. Coet, pick up. So you went to your
[1:04:55] off to or off one. So that number UC8 has now jumped to 21 people. So our first session,
[1:05:04] What do we want to call it as yesterday? We have a return of 17 to 18 people. Very good first time doing that. Very happy to see and it was
[1:05:14] I love the partnership to what the growth of the staff over there can't speak highly enough about working together collaborating.
[1:05:23] When we have our, before the summer starts we go over there and give full rules with their staff.
[1:05:29] We're very in sync with each other and that's a great collaboration, so thank you to them.
[1:05:34] Also,
[1:05:37] a ballet dance with Charlotte is at six, so I started on Monday and then she called me after and said it was a great time and she wants to continue it
[1:05:47] So our minis emotions is full. It's actually 13 on at 13 so we added a few more people into that program
[1:05:56] Our tiny kick session one has 11 kids in it. So it's full our tiny kick session two has 10
[1:06:03] So it's full for next October session.
[1:06:06] Our power kicker session one was canceled
[1:06:08] to a low registration, but our session two has five kids
[1:06:12] in our journey.
[1:06:14] Our pick-up session on Mondays, that number has jumped
[1:06:18] from 10 to 12.
[1:06:20] So we got a few more registrations coming in since doing this.
[1:06:23] And our Thursday session starts tomorrow.
[1:06:25] Has jumped from 3 to 8.
[1:06:28] That was so.
[1:06:29] Yeah.
[1:06:29] And our safe center is at 7th still.
[1:06:33] CD Yoga with Jane, nothing but praise. You do it a phenomenal job. I don't know how you got 19 people this
[1:06:39] session, but that's incredible.
[1:06:43] Thank you.
[1:06:44] Thank you.
[1:06:44] And then your October session has jumped from five people to seven people and then
[1:06:50] CD Yoga and November are still at two, but it's a month's way.
[1:06:53] Yeah, you gotta get through September and then they'll, and then they'll, and then they'll
[1:07:02] was a girl's club, has drawn from 22 to 29, yoga strength, full sessions, the first sessions
[1:07:09] at five, and then these second sessions at four are beginning, and to me it's high she is at
[1:07:16] seven and two, and then stole a bar and new program with Charlotte, is at six still, and then
[1:07:24] our Senior Coffee Connection Puzzles is at seven in on our senior Coffee Learner.
[1:07:30] On behalf of the secretary of the committee, I'm a member of the committee.
[1:07:32] We are going to the post office.
[1:07:34] Thank you very much, guys.
[1:07:35] You guys have not been on?
[1:07:36] Yeah.
[1:07:37] Do you want to do a question?
[1:07:40] We do a name and we would come on the same day on the same day on the same day on the same day on the same day on the same day on the same day.
[1:07:48] Now, Tuesday group, they do play games up there.
[1:07:51] A lot of crevices, Martans, I don't know.
[1:07:53] I don't know.
[1:07:54] I don't know.
[1:07:54] I don't know.
[1:07:59] So there's the four games they play a lot of upstairs on the Tuesdays, which is built for
[1:08:05] years.
[1:08:08] I think it's back to you.
[1:08:11] All right.
[1:08:13] So everybody's good with direct support.
[1:08:17] We're going to jump right into approval for the minutes and get on rolling.
[1:08:22] So we'll jump into the April 15 minutes.
[1:08:26] These were new work here.
[1:08:32] your here.
[1:08:39] I know you're boogie down 4.95 for us.
[1:08:50] Everybody has had a chance to review those. I know that was a long time ago.
[1:08:54] You told John that it was the wrong one.
[1:09:00] What's that?
[1:09:01] Yeah, he sent him the 20, 20, 20, 20, 20.
[1:09:04] So we have one at it that the date at the top was supposed to be 20, 20, 26.
[1:09:13] That's already been amended in the Senate, but they weren't.
[1:09:16] So if everybody's all set with these minutes,
[1:09:20] I'll be looking for a motion to approve the April 15 minutes as amended.
[1:09:25] I make the motion to approve the April 15 minutes as amended.
[1:09:29] Thank you.
[1:09:32] Trish emotion, Paul seconded and discussion.
[1:09:36] All in favor.
[1:09:38] Awesome.
[1:09:40] Cheers.
[1:09:42] There's everybody.
[1:09:44] Everybody's there.
[1:09:45] Thanks.
[1:09:46] Thank you guys.
[1:09:49] August 19.
[1:09:50] You got a spell key.
[1:09:53] We can key correctly.
[1:09:57] Okay, so yeah, apparently I need to respaal Kayling keys, so I'll fix Kayling keys.
[1:10:04] Then I will approve it.
[1:10:10] All throughout we talked about Kayling and keys quite a bit, so I'll just go back through.
[1:10:16] Oh, thank you so much.
[1:10:18] So I'll get those, I'll get those, I'm mended.
[1:10:26] Everybody has had a chance to review those.
[1:10:31] I'm going to look for a motion to approve as amended.
[1:10:35] The August 19th, 26th, mini minutes.
[1:10:40] I have to have fun.
[1:10:42] Here's the abstaining.
[1:10:44] I think I can.

[1:10:50] Paul's second-in-pet motion.
[1:10:52] Any discussion on favor?
[1:10:55] No.
[1:10:55] Awesome.
[1:10:56] Thank you guys.
[1:11:00] Yeah.
[1:11:01] So anything, I don't have an agenda.
[1:11:03] Apparently stink at the agenda.
[1:11:06] I'm going to send you guys the MOUs.
[1:11:08] I'm going to send you guys the commission letters.
[1:11:11] The MOU is more of just kind of visibility.
[1:11:14] I'm not necessarily looking for anybody's particular input.
[1:11:18] just so you guys have a chance to review it. It's like eight pages of a lot of legal
[1:11:22] mumbo jumbo overall. Laurie has been happy with it. I did have a few edits and then
[1:11:29] we're moving to town council that town council review it and probably a prime
[1:11:36] extra view it and then a few more people review it and then we will be actually voting
[1:11:43] on and I hear at this board and then we'll present it to the board of
[1:11:46] Sleckman. But there of you and hopefully we don't have to go through 75
[1:11:51] drafts, but we all know that's going to go. So if anybody's got anything else
[1:11:55] it's not on our, we haven't already chatted about our next meeting, we'll be next
