[3:29] Good
[3:43] evening. Good evening. Welcome to the Northampton select board meeting for August 26. Would you please rise and join me for the pledge of allegiance?
[3:56] Student by United States of America, to the public.
[4:00] One nation under God, into this vote, to the meeting and just for
[4:09] all ready. Thank you very much.
[4:13] We are starting our meeting tonight with the
[4:16] Public comment session.
[4:17] If anyone like to make a comment,
[4:19] please come up to the podium.
[4:21] Just give us your name and questions comments.
[4:25] If there's nothing right now,
[4:26] there'll be another comment session at the end of tonight's meeting.
[4:30] All right.
[4:31] Consent calendar.
[4:32] We have four items on the consent calendar,
[4:34] two payroll manifests and accounts payable
[4:37] manifest in one cemetery deed.
[4:39] I'll make a motion to move the consent calendar
[4:41] for payroll, manifest, all we threw is Cemetery G. Any questions or concerns about any of those
[4:47] item? No, but I'll second it. Okay. All those of favor? All right. Thank you very much.
[4:53] Of course, Bondets, we have nothing in the packet. Mike, anything that's come in since
[4:56] prepared? No? All right. Moving on along. I do not have a committee update on hand from our
[5:02] heritage representative. No, I, Mr. Majority, I know was very busy up at the state last week.
[5:08] I didn't reach out to him, but I will ask him before the next meeting.
[5:14] Thank you.
[5:15] Water Commission.
[5:16] So, Mr. Chair, let's touch off from the water commission that happens to be here.
[5:22] If that may be we could let him update us on what's happening.
[5:25] Does that be okay?
[5:26] Sure.
[5:26] All right.
[5:27] Yeah.
[5:28] If you come to the podium, that way people on the recording can hear you.
[5:39] A number of things going on concurrently.
[5:43] We've had a couple of meetings with a couple of the aquarium representatives and at the
[5:53] second of those meetings we were impressed to find a couple of units of people who
[5:58] had joined them for the meeting, which I thought was at least a good sign.
[6:03] Then we had a meeting with the folks at Aquarine itself and so the committee went to the headquarters and we sat there and discussed the network, some of the issues that they're facing and on this occasion we were overwhelmed by five additional
[6:28] unit of members who were attending and said that there were that alone. So I made me
[6:34] a little nervous, but okay, let's go on with that. And we also had a field trip, I
[6:40] guess I'd call it, where we visited a number of the facilities and had a look at them
[6:46] and understood where the strengths and the weaknesses of the system to the extent that we
[6:51] can exist and currently I have requested that representatives of Hampton and representatives
[7:02] of Rye come to the next water commission meeting if they are able to do so to discuss
[7:10] possible areas of collaboration going forward.
[7:14] There are no assumptions that have been made yet, no commitments that have been made yet,
[7:20] but nevertheless, those requests are out there and we're hoping that Rye and Hampton
[7:27] will participate.
[7:30] I guess that's more or less where we are at this point.
[7:35] Thank you.
[7:37] There's a water commission meeting, and Brian gets from Rye and Jamie Sullivan from Hampton.
[7:43] I've been invited because we anticipate that there will be a rate request at some point by
[7:50] you and until and we want to make sure that we're aligned with the other two towns and we're using full strength.
[7:59] Yeah, my only question, did you ask to discuss anything regarding security with all the news right now with the water areas under attack for cyber attacks and all that kind of stuff that would that come up at all?
[8:15] Well, we were safe because we were under the radar until you brought the subject. Now, now it's out.
[8:20] Yes, please, please, please.
[8:22] I know that it's been a very large topic with security
[8:26] and national security.
[8:28] And you Hampshire, I guess, has been a few times correct.
[8:33] I'm not aware of where attempts to break into the system
[8:37] have been so far.
[8:40] Although I am aware of the vulnerabilities
[8:43] and our system, like many other small systems,
[8:47] is very vulnerable on one level, because the IT equipment is fairly rudimentary.
[8:56] I believe this falls under something I should be talking about in non-public.
[9:03] I didn't catch that. I didn't catch anything.
[9:05] You're just trying to agree.
[9:07] So we will continue the conversation with probably in a non-public session rather than a public session right now.
[9:13] Well, then publicly, what we can say is that it's one of the issues that I will be raising with the staff for a few minutes.
[9:22] Okay. Thank you very much.
[9:25] You're not suggesting there's a leak in water leak. Correct.
[9:29] All right.
[9:30] Thank you, less.
[9:43] All right.
[9:43] the different parking,
[9:51] I don't even know how you would describe it. But essentially, if
[9:54] right, every single type of business there's going to be so many parking spaces allocated
[9:58] per various, yeah, parking ratios on the commercial side. So we are currently working on that to
[10:03] have some type of guidelines. And other than that, it's it, our last meeting was just a regular
[10:13] The CIP, the report is on track to be completed for final review on September 11, and it's admitted to the select board on the 18th.
[10:24] As you know, the deadline is normally out cover first, but we want to get it delivered more quickly.
[10:31] It does take a lot of time to put together, but the CIP is doing great work to make sure that we get it earlier.
[10:38] So thank you to the C.I.P.
[10:42] What are the town of Administrator?
[10:44] My name is Mr.
[10:46] This is from July 28th to August 10th.
[10:49] In the police department,
[10:50] they had 182 calls for service,
[10:53] 44 more vehicle stops,
[10:54] 34 warnings issues,
[10:56] and 20 directed patrols,
[10:58] amongst other calls.
[11:01] A lot of community engagement,
[11:03] the chief got together at the Hampton Police Chief Alex Reno
[11:06] at the national night out in the Hampton, and they both went in the duct tank, dunk tank.
[11:14] I was told that Chief Walsh logged much more time than Chief Reno in the dunk tank,
[11:21] and did not get dunked as often.
[11:23] I would say our chief won.
[11:26] Excellent work, Chief.
[11:28] We had an officer's charge to family member with adult fraud,
[11:33] of another family member, Neldely Seris, is actively working with the victim, active
[11:38] restaurants remain outstanding, connection with theft complaints to Home Depot and several
[11:42] of them were for earlier Home Depot, theft cases, and they're scheduled for trial next
[11:47] week. Officer just wanted a three-mode of vehicle crashes that resulted in DWI arrests,
[11:53] among case the drivers found having a warrant out of Florida, and a second crash at the driver's
[11:59] sustained injuries and was transported to ports of hospital.
[12:03] Officer Tupies completed 14 weeks at the Police Academy
[12:06] is on track to graduate August 21st,
[12:09] so we look forward to her coming back into the department.
[12:12] And the fight department has been a lot of continue work
[12:15] on the deputy chief hiring process.
[12:17] The chief was unable to be here,
[12:19] but I expect that we'll have an announcement
[12:20] and introduction at the next meeting.
[12:23] Continue planning for the AML's replacement project
[12:25] and the vendor selection.
[12:27] The Chiefs received trouble quote from the new ambulance and should have a presentation ready for the board at the next meeting, so we have been discussing that. I put in on putting that on.
[12:37] The stone building of replacement project was prevented presented to CIP for six years out.
[12:43] Director Spuena had company and go through the buildings just to make sure we were keeping track of everything that it would be done and trying to estimate that doesn't necessarily mean absolutely six years,
[12:54] but they thought that we should have it on,
[12:56] so we can plan for it, so we presented that to CIP this year.
[13:02] In recreation, Old Home Day was held this past Saturday.
[13:05] It was a great success to begin the day with the 5K
[13:08] color run and ended the day with the fireworks display.
[13:11] In between, there were trolley rides, children's fun games,
[13:13] police bike rodeo, the team puzzle challenge,
[13:17] bingo would be a float's declaration station town cryer
[13:22] to the time capsule drop off.
[13:23] Food truck and face painting, excuse me, special thanks to the North Hampton Park's
[13:28] Market for Asia Commission for all their hard work and you know another special thanks
[13:32] to the North Hampton Fire Gardens Association who paid for the fireworks this year.
[13:36] So that was terrific. Thank you very much for that. This week marks the night final week of
[13:41] Summer Camp. They had over 180 participants this year. This week starts adult co-ed softball
[13:49] playoffs, 6 p.m., each evening, and memberships of registrations for the 2627 school year before
[13:56] an after-school program are open.
[14:00] And the Highway Department, the continue roadside mowing throughout count, maintain visibility
[14:04] and improve the appearance of our roadways.
[14:06] I don't know if you've noticed, but some of the roads that they've done are state roads, because
[14:10] they're so understaffed, but they're still causing a safety concern, so director's corner in
[14:15] the crew would be going out and taking care of those too.
[14:18] They continue painting stopbars and refreshing pavement markings and various intersections.
[14:24] They also worked with a police department to address some traffic related concerns and improve sight visibility.
[14:30] Residents are reminded the upcoming household hazardous waste collection day being held in Brentwood on September 19th.
[14:36] Informational flyers with event details are available at the town office, the town Clark's office, and at the recycling center.
[14:42] They also assisted in our team's school at the time growing project in a maple tree planting area.
[14:48] Work continued off-fitting the new F600 and F550 trucks with the necessary equipment.
[14:53] Both vehicles are progressing well and are expected to be placed in service soon.
[14:58] They also were working on departmental buildings.
[15:00] The budgets that are due the first week of September to the finance office.
[15:05] On a piece of PFAS investigation, I spoke with our consultant, who said they needed to come in and do more
[15:13] while sampling that was required. You remember the requirements from DES that we received. We also received
[15:18] an recognition, communication, DES, which discussed expanding that requirement and the
[15:26] to send that to the consultant so that we can have a discussion on that.
[15:31] Rails the trails ripping gutting from the Hampton portion of the trail occurred on August
[15:35] 4th.
[15:36] I've also reached out to Scott Boldel regarding drafting a plan for the pocket park.
[15:41] The Pond Path cable boxes, I know in my report I say, have nothing new to report, but
[15:46] I did find out that we believe that now we think that their Fidiums boxes that were received
[15:53] by FDM when they bought the loud company.
[15:58] So I sent a letter to FDM's legal department today to see if I get a response from that.
[16:05] Okay.
[16:05] Go forward.
[16:06] I thought that was a better route than I've been calling the 1,800 number.
[16:10] So we'll see we're on a different direction now.
[16:14] Coca landfill group.
[16:15] The next meeting is scheduled for October 1.
[16:17] I plan to be an attendance on that.
[16:19] The building's expected wreck vehicle is almost complete.
[16:21] expected back this week. School land donation. I've begun the process to get an appraisal and
[16:27] secure legal assistance for the deeds. The cable franchise agreement, we've been cleared by the
[16:32] attorney, Kate Miller. The first step will have the attorney join a select board meeting,
[16:37] and I'm not sure if you'd like that to be in August or wait until the first meeting is September.
[16:43] Do you have a preference? When is the agreement expired? I believe it's in November, December.
[16:51] So we have plenty of time, but generally it starts off with the attorney coming in, explaining
[16:58] the process to the board and then asking if you have any specific things that you're concerned
[17:04] with, one would be franchise fees and different things like that.
[17:09] I'd say that first meeting is Timber.
[17:12] Okay, I'll work on up.
[17:22] And then the next regular scheduled meeting for the board is August 24th.
[17:28] questions for the town administrator.
[17:34] No, no questions. All right. Thank you. Thank you.
[17:36] All right. Moving on, our next item is under new, sorry, item left on the table. We have the little
[18:02] And they approved the warrant articles and covered some of the things.
[18:05] I went to the meeting,
[18:09] the warrant, there's a citizen's petition warrant article that's
[18:12] moving forward that requests that the little board said commissioners appoint the building
[18:22] inspector for Northampton to do zoning inspections for one year to try it out.
[18:28] They acknowledge that they'll need to be an agreement and a contract between us and them.
[18:34] Who knows a little past or not, if it does, if they want to try this out.
[18:40] I invited the commissioners to join either this meeting or meeting two weeks, so we could
[18:46] have conversations about what it might look like if it were past, how we would work things,
[18:50] just so that they would have answers on September 1st.
[18:52] And they wouldn't be the questions about like what it happened could it happen and what if right they could answer the questions after they're meeting
[18:59] We'll see if they are able to participate if not I'll still have conversations with with Lou to make sure that he has answers as he prepares the media on 9-1
[19:10] But that's it no other feedback or information. Do you receive anything back on the MLU in terms of size of the
[19:21] proposed
[19:22] doors, space, right in the
[19:23] ones? Just the original that we had
[19:25] talked about, um, that, originally
[19:29] that they wanted to kind of have an
[19:31] office, and that probably wouldn't
[19:33] want it going to. Yeah, we want it to
[19:35] fire chief. Yeah, we addressed that.
[19:38] So we're waiting to hear back from them on
[19:40] everything's in their hands right now
[19:41] as a button. Thank you.
[19:44] Any questions on that?
[19:47] All right. Under new business,
[19:50] we have the discussion of the fire
[19:51] department labor negotiations? Thank you, Mr. Chair. I just want to update the board. Normally,
[19:58] we don't do negotiations in public and we're not going to do that in public. But I want to
[20:03] know that. Wow, we changed it. But I wanted to, but I wanted to, but I wanted to at least
[20:06] update the rest of the board that we had an educational session that we met with the different
[20:12] unions and had a representative from health trust come down and talk about the different health
[20:16] plans, pricing, and things like that just so we're all working on the same page when we walk
[20:21] into negotiations, there really shouldn't be any surprises about what the plans are and
[20:27] what the benefit's are and everything like that.
[20:29] So I wanted update the rest of the board about that and let the board also know that I'd
[20:34] like to call the attorney and start trying to get dates for end of August beginning
[20:39] September two start. We need to have it done by the first week of January. If we're going to
[20:47] have it on the the warrant and I really don't want time to be an issue on whether that comes to
[20:53] a deal. Yep. Good. I support that 100%. Okay. All right. 8.2 the discussion of the bulky goods
[21:04] plan going forward.
[21:14] Beating.
[21:15] I just thought I'd take a minute and kind of update you on where at.
[21:21] As I just tell you, I'd said the town report, the 600 is up being fitted with a new body,
[21:27] which is a roll off style, which will be able to have multiple bodies on the truck.
[21:31] At any given time, one of the things we are adding is a dumpster that will be up at the recycling center.
[21:38] It'll be up there year-round weather permitting, and it will be open on Wednesday when the recycling
[21:45] center is open and then all day Saturday as well.
[21:49] So what we're going with is the 15 yard dumpster, which is the biggest size when you get
[21:52] for the truck at the time.
[21:57] With doing this, we're doing the way with the bulky items twice a year, so you've got it
[22:10] four days you can go up there and get rid of material and it's like over 800 hours so we're
[22:15] hoping this will help with convenience for people rough town so you don't have to hold
[22:18] something for six months if you're out of town when we have the bulky items you know you'll
[22:23] you'll you'll you'll have to hold for another six months for a few or if you like put all the
[22:26] stuff in your garage to take it to bulky goods and then you'll get the day of the
[22:30] Okay, good day, and that's a wait for the next one. Right. I'm not that I've done that, but yes.
[22:34] That happens. So some of the stuff that still in the works is the pricing that we've had for years has been like the dump sticker was it had never changed.
[22:46] We're just trying to find the right number, you know, with other towns, with their charging, because when we haul the stuff up the resource and apping, we get charged for that.
[22:55] So we're just looking to, when the truck is dumped,
[22:59] we'll have, you know, it'll end up, you know, breaking even,
[23:01] you know, as bulky as now, like we, you know,
[23:03] we try and charge per item, and then when it goes to the dumpsters,
[23:06] we get charged per ton.
[23:07] So it's some of it's guessing this might make it a little easier
[23:10] for us to, to limit it so they won't be lost.
[23:14] As of it is now, we lose quite a bit of money on bulky.
[23:19] It's, you know, three guys will over time,
[23:20] because it's on a weekend day, you know, twice a year,
[23:23] Plus, you know, we have to pay for, you know, five plus dumpsters at a time.
[23:28] We are going to do bulky one last time.
[23:31] This year we're going to do it September.
[23:32] It was 27th, which is a Sunday, which is a change,
[23:36] because we had quite a bit of people complaining about the interference with the brush dump
[23:39] and recycling those too much going on.
[23:42] So we talked it over at the DBW and the guys thought it would be better if we did it on Sunday.
[23:47] That way Saturday will be a normal day up there and then Sunday people can come up.
[23:52] It'll be 85, so it'll be the regular, regular amount of hours, and we'll be heading out
[23:56] fires to explain this to people on how it's going to work.
[24:00] So how it works now is you obviously have to have your brush sticker, brush don't sticker
[24:04] to use it.
[24:05] I'll be the same as for keep going forth.
[24:09] This will help keep people from other towns coming in and putting stuff in our dumpsters
[24:15] that we pay for with our tax base with, you know, time and equipment where and whatnot.
[24:21] So, what we'd like to do is we'd like to be able to put the items online for what
[24:27] bulky is with a price.
[24:30] So, we're hoping that you can go right online and, you know, if you have a TV for $20 and
[24:36] a pallet for $5, you know, $25, they'll print that receipt, you can take it up to the recycling
[24:42] You can send them to your items, give them through to the scan and he'll look at it and
[24:45] he'll tell you right where to put it and then it'll be as easy as that.
[24:50] We're still working out those things.
[24:52] We're trying to limit the amount of money that transfers up there to make it a little easier.
[24:55] Those guys have enough going on.
[24:58] So that's one of the things we're working at.
[25:00] You would be able to still go in and pay for at the town clerk so if you didn't want
[25:04] our town office, if you didn't want to use a computer, you could go in with the same list.
[25:08] They could tell you, they could get your receipt, you could go down on either one's day or Saturday so that you don't have to be computer swabby or what not to be able to use it.
[25:22] So, you know, hopefully this will start reading less of an episode up there.
[25:27] You know, we're looking at some things, making some changes, and I think it'll help the residents be able to get rid of stuff you're around.
[25:33] And cost wise will be able to predict more of what's going on and handle it a little more, you know, financially responsible.
[25:43] Director Spooner, could you, I don't think the board or the public has much of an idea of what it costs us to get rid of some of the materials that come up like mattresses.
[25:53] Yes, so if you put on a dumpster, it's someplace to charge $100,000,000, $8 mattress.
[26:00] If you throw two or three mattresses, it's just two or three hundred bucks.
[26:03] We've been charging, I think, for five dollars.
[26:06] So those are the things that we gotta kind of find.
[26:09] We're finding all right, charges, we're finding, we're stratum, we're getting ball parks,
[26:15] we're competitive with what anyone else was, that we don't want over charge.
[26:18] We're not looking to make a profit.
[26:19] We're just looking to make sure that we can, you know, break even when we when we finally bring the stuff and dump it and just saying epic.
[26:28] Did they charge us like on a parade and bases like that or just by tongue injure?
[26:32] Um, she said typically it's by tongue but if there's things in there that they catch from the radio from the time you dump it to the time they get out.
[26:39] You know, they do they do sore through.
[26:42] Okay.
[26:42] A little bit what goes on there.
[26:43] We're not going to be taking a household trash.
[26:46] It's just the bulk of it.
[26:47] It's kind of the same things we've been taking.
[26:50] And I'm also assuming that it may be a little bit busier in the beginning, but when
[26:54] you amount of time you have it, it should be easier to get into it.
[26:59] It'll smooth out.
[27:00] Yeah, it's going to be your first come first serve.
[27:03] So when the 14 yards is full, it'll be shut off of that day.
[27:06] And then it'll be dumped.
[27:09] So if Saturday, it gets full Monday morning, it'll first
[27:13] you'll get run up dumped, it'll be there for Wednesday, Thursday morning, it'll get run right
[27:17] up and dump and whatnot. So I'm hoping at, you know, in the beginning, maybe a little bit
[27:21] easier, and then as people realize they don't have to rush down a particular time. Do we need
[27:27] to reconfigure anything or buy any new containers? So when the truck was purchased through the
[27:34] worn article, the one dumpster was bought with it. We were able to get a dumpster, it has a
[27:41] shipping body, a flatbed for Holland
[27:44] heavy equipment would be loaded up on it,
[27:46] and then it has a dump body as well, so it's a dump truck.
[27:49] So truck can be doing four jobs really at once,
[27:51] which is really nice.
[27:53] And the technology's come a long way with reliability
[27:56] on that stuff.
[27:58] No, I don't want to think that the director's
[28:00] for me talking about that he's looking at the future
[28:04] for us, possibly buying another dumpster that
[28:08] can be used to collect metal,
[28:10] Because right now what happens is we have a dump stop there and whatever metal is thrown at it
[28:16] That the people take the dumpster. We don't get paid for the metal
[28:19] But if we had a dumpster it could just sit there people could do it when it was full
[28:22] We could take it down on that old yard and then we'd have that a little bit of that in coming back
[28:27] So that's something we're gonna look at the numbers and determine in the future. Yeah
[28:31] So right now just clarify that it's an even trade
[28:33] So they whatever they get in the dumpster they keep the profit and right now metals not super high
[28:40] But, you know, full dumpster, you know,
[28:43] can be a couple of bucks.
[28:44] So, that is something that we've looked at.
[28:47] If this goes well, when we have a metal dumpster now
[28:51] that people can still continue to use,
[28:54] you know, we would look into purchase in our own.
[28:56] The other thing too that's great about these things
[28:58] is that, you know, would the way that the guys
[29:02] at the department take care of this equipment
[29:04] when this truck gets replaced,
[29:06] they should be able just to unbolt that body
[29:08] and both on to the next cab and chassis so you're not buying, you're just buying cab and
[29:12] chassis and not replacing the dump body or one individual truck, you know, it should
[29:19] financially be a little better, too.
[29:24] Can I have the question?
[29:25] Thank you very much.
[29:27] Thank you.
[29:27] All right.
[29:28] Thanks, too.
[29:32] 8.3.
[29:33] We are at discussion of local aggregation contract.
[29:37] So, if folks recall, we started in May, right, in May, with the town community aggregation
[29:45] program, May, June, July, August, it runs through into November, end of October,
[29:52] beginning of November.
[29:53] It depends on when your bill comes up, because they'll come up on different days.
[29:57] So we have been
[30:00] And monitoring electricity markets to see if there's an opportunity to enter into a subsequent contract at a favorable price.
[30:08] Right now, the pricing is not great. Actually, a resource is new rate that started August 1st came out and is at 14 cents, I believe.
[30:20] And we're getting the codes we've gotten are a hair below that, but it's not a
[30:27] appreciable difference at this point, and they'll have a new rate that comes into effect
[30:33] on February 1, that rate hasn't, they'll go out in probably November and put that forward
[30:38] to the PUC.
[30:41] My concern we're going to enter in another contract right now is if we did that at say 13 and change even though ever sources at 14 now that come February 1st if they go back if they revert back more towards historic norms that would be down close to to 11 or sensor.
[30:58] Over the last few years, they've been as low as, as nine cents in that February 1st rate setting.
[31:05] So I certainly don't want to get our residents stuck with a 13 and change rate if ever source drops back down significantly.
[31:12] They might not, but this is a, this is where the guessing game comes in on electrical aggregation.
[31:19] And so I think for now, we should just keep watching and see if we don't enter into a new contract.
[31:25] then everyone will revert back to stop ever source people at service at the end of this contract.
[31:31] So they'll go back. But we've talked about before. It may just be that we are selectively
[31:39] picking our battles when we are deciding to enter into contracts or not. If something does come
[31:46] up, then the town administrator and I will make the call and inform people. But right now it's
[31:55] we'll see what they come up with on a definitive rate but it's unfortunately it's not as compelling right now as it has been.
[32:04] Thank you very much.
[32:05] No, I agree and I think it's important that we remind people that we've always said that if it was a meaningful
[32:11] difference we would make the change and make the switch and it's just that the Delta's not there right now.
[32:18] So keeping an eye on it makes sense.
[32:20] All right, and our last item of new business, we have another large assembly permit.
[32:28] Get out of town.
[32:31] All right.
[32:39] Everyone, this is Ariel Andrews.
[32:40] She works at Seiko's Harley.
[32:42] She wanted to take an opportunity to talk to the board and introduce herself and the management team and some of the things they do.
[32:48] But if you don't mind, we'll go over the permit real quicker.
[32:51] I did send the board a memo about it, very similar, it's August 21st from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
[33:00] Some of the logistical things will be the food trucks that are going to have a light band
[33:05] into attainment and then a motorcycle build off, static display, a competition with motorcycles
[33:11] that's more or less of like a car show is my understanding.
[33:15] Alcohol management is the same, there will be different color response from the last event,
[33:21] Two drinks per person is a designated area almost like a beer garden that will be there
[33:27] Traffic management one way in one way out traffic management. It's also handled inside by the sickle's highly staff as well as crowd management
[33:36] Medical and emergency services will be two
[33:40] Firefighters fired one for medical and one to watch inside the building for that's one of the
[33:45] extension of the beer guide in area and insurance certificates. I'll ask the board if they can approve the permit on the condition that by our lines
[33:54] Insurance is presented prior to the event. I will say the Wednesday before the 21st
[33:59] That one that we currently have is expired and then the
[34:04] Coordination of the event
[34:06] We check in with a gabby or aerial depending on who the head coordinator is and that's been working very well
[34:14] Does the board have any questions?
[34:17] Not for me.
[34:18] Tom, don't know.
[34:20] I'm going to go to the microphone in the area.
[34:24] Good evening.
[34:25] Thanks for having me.
[34:26] Just a first of all, this summer has been pretty wonderful for us.
[34:30] We've really worked to build some really great monthly events and I appreciate the fact that
[34:34] you guys have been so open about seeing what we're doing and supporting it and thank you
[34:38] to Chief Walsh for being there for us and making sure that we've got all of our teas in
[34:42] our teas crossed, our eyes dotted. My name's Ariel Anders. I'm the marketing director for
[34:48] knowing the motorcycle group. So we have, you probably already know, three more locations within
[34:52] the New England area. Seaco is being our flagship store. We've, we've really come a long way this summer.
[35:02] We're excited to have our bike or build off actually happen. This, this, this month we've been working
[35:07] since I think it was April that we introduced the builders. We gave them their motorcycles and they've
[35:12] working on them all summer long and we actually get to reveal them this
[35:16] yeah it's exciting we get to reveal them this this month and our crowd gets to vote on
[35:21] their winner their favorite so we're gonna be counting votes all evening and we're
[35:25] gonna have lots of fun and lots of high energy I hope that this is one of our
[35:30] biggest events of the summer and I hope that we have a lot of fun and it's gonna be a
[35:35] great evening I have faith that our attendees have been very well behaved I think
[35:40] this summer. And our staff has been really energetic and well behaved as well and we just want
[35:47] to make sure that we're doing things right and we are as good community partners and we appreciate
[35:53] the energy this summer. Well, thank you very much for coming. It's so nice to meet you. And I would
[35:59] say yes, everything has been going well. I mean the chief is obviously very diligent and making sure
[36:05] that everything goes according to plan and is, you know, per our rules and regulations,
[36:12] but as far as I know everything has gone off pretty well, and everything we've heard
[36:17] has been that everyone has been really great about communicating and making sure we're sticking
[36:22] to the plans and everything like that. So, you know, we love having these kinds of events,
[36:28] and so it's great to see them happen. Hopefully the weather continues to mostly cooperate.
[36:34] It hasn't for every for every we had a few yeah, but you know hopefully it will and I don't know that that
[36:42] Biker build off sounds like a reality show in the make. Yeah, we actually we had a little interview with the
[36:48] Biker with the builders this past month that our last day rally we had them sit down and we kind of treated it like a Netflix like
[36:55] Special event and we recorded them and we got to interview them and talk about their builds and what it inspires them
[37:01] So, if you are all inspired to come and see these builders this next week, no two weeks from now.
[37:07] Two weeks from now.
[37:09] I really have no idea what day to day is half the time.
[37:11] I know that's part of my job, but it doesn't stick.
[37:13] But come and meet the builders, come see what we do and come have some fun with us,
[37:17] because it'll be interesting to see what they took these big Harley Davidsons,
[37:21] and they chopped them all up, and they made them all their own.
[37:23] And we're really excited to see them.
[37:24] Great, that's cool.
[37:26] Thank you.
[37:26] Any other questions? No, I have attended all the, uh,
[37:30] The events in there are very well-lawn and very good time.
[37:35] Thank you.
[37:36] Did you answer that?
[37:38] Yes.
[37:38] All right.
[37:39] So I'd like to make a motion to approve a large gathering for
[37:43] Sequence Halley Davidson on August 21st.
[37:46] Continuing upon an update is certificate of insurance.
[37:49] I'll sink at that motion.
[37:50] Any other discussion?
[37:52] All those in favor?
[37:53] All right.
[37:54] Thank you very much.
[37:55] Again, for coming.
[37:56] All right. Thank you.
[38:00] All right.
[38:00] that brings us to the end of our new business. We have a couple sets of meeting
[38:04] minutes to approve from July 27.
[38:07] All, uh, make a motion to approve the meeting minutes for.
[38:11] I July 27.
[38:13] No second that.
[38:15] Any questions comments changes?
[38:22] public.
[38:22] Public.
[38:23] All right.
[38:23] This is the public.
[38:24] Public.
[38:25] All those favor.
[38:27] And I'll make another motion to approve the non public meeting minutes of July 27.
[38:31] the second. I was a favorite. All right. And that brings us to our second public comment session.
[38:40] Anyone who has any comments? Please come on up. What's the phone number, James?
[38:45] Oh, the phone number is 603 7 5 8 14 47. It looks like the phone is working.
[38:56] And we also have any other business.
[38:59] Just going to be while mentioned old home day was a very big success.
[39:04] Joe did a very good job.
[39:06] We had a good turnout.
[39:07] And we ended with firework.
[39:10] So if you didn't make it this year, then hopefully you'll be able to make it next year.
[39:14] But a lot of people had a lot of fun in looking forward to having it again next year.
[39:19] That's great.
[39:19] I was not able to make it this year. I was working at North and we're lucky we
[39:23] were getting the rain because boy was it pouring up there.
[39:28] All right. No public comments nor their business. We will adjourn tonight's meeting.
[39:32] So thank you all very much.
