[9:22] I also attended the Parker Advent Hospital in Patient

[9:26] advocacy meeting for a separate board that I'm on.

[9:31] That hospital asked me to be on to discuss how to beautify

[9:34] the hospital, the interior of the hospital and the grounds.

[9:38] We also had the

[9:39] Confluence Company, Confluence Company topping out celebration

[9:44] in downtown Parker, right across from the library.

[9:48] This was a celebration for the progress that Confluence Company is making

[9:53] on building out downtown Parker, one of the main contractors.

[9:58] And we also had the Town Hall opening celebration as well

[10:02] that all of us came to.

[10:03] The mayor did speak at that, as well as our town manager

[10:06] and the construction company JH construction.

[11:48] a ribbon cutting for the Grade Power Learning Center, which was phenomenal.

[12:02] And one of the things that I loved about it

[12:03] is they actually have somebody on staff that is tutoring our, our military.

[12:08] So in order to move up in the military ranks, you have to pass a certain test.

[12:12] And so he's actually tutoring these military people, and two of them scored

[12:16] the highest out of their whole group after doing this tutoring.

[12:19] So they get to move on and apply

[12:21] for different leadership levels in the military, which I didn't even know,

[12:25] you had to take a comprehension test to do that.

[12:26] So I just thought that was incredible.

[12:28] I sit on the Denver Metro Association of Realtors Government Affairs

[12:32] Committee board, and we had our meeting last week,

[12:34] and we're specifically focusing on saying attainable housing and affordable

[12:38] housing is too broad of a picture.

[12:39] We're specifically focusing on what does it take on a legislative side

[12:43] to make adjustments to the laws that are prohibiting these entry

[12:46] level homes from coming in?

[12:47] And so that's our that's our main focus with that.

[12:50] And then the Parker night out with our PD, I wasn't able to attend

[12:55] because I had a sick kiddo.

[12:56] However, I heard it was a phenomenal night and I saw the pictures

[12:59] and it looked like everyone had a great time with that.

[13:01] So I just want to give kudos because we always do a wonderful job

[13:04] of making sure that people

[13:05] can come and interact, and our citizens

[13:07] get to see what it's about, and the kids just have a great time.

[14:02] We actually had nine news

[14:03] there to talk about the organization and then followed on.

[14:07] By Friday we had the city of Commerce city came down

[14:11] and the city manager for elected officials economic development team to walk

[14:16] Main Street to see what it is we've done down here and how it's sparked

[14:20] the art and the different things that have that have happened downtown.

[14:25] And so there are very curious and wanted to know what we did.

[14:28] So we spent three hours with them and had a great

[14:32] mid-morning with Commerce City.

[14:34] Got to show off our town, which is always fun.

[14:38] Let's see then the Tuesday the 11th, I had the honor as a mayor to sit down

[14:43] on a panel of seven mayors in front of a young leadership group.

[14:48] 25 of the members were German exchange business people,

[14:54] and the other 25 were American business

[14:57] folk aged between 25 and 35, I believe.

[15:00] And we talked about our communities and the issues facing us and

[15:05] and what we can do in our, in our state to, to make it better.

[15:08] Great group. Incredibly brilliant. Great questions.

[15:11] Got to do breakout and sit with a table of them for half an hour.

[15:15] And just incredible young minds.

[15:17] Then I was on a CML zoom, the last step to CML hiring

[15:22] a deputy manager, and the decision was made.

[15:26] And Kevin Balmer has hired Evelyn Baker to be the new deputy manager of CML.

[20:04] then we're also going to run into holidays, right?

[20:07] So as we get closer to the holiday seasons, it's harder to coordinate

[20:10] schedules.

[20:10] So allowing this nine months suspension gives them

[20:15] the adequate time that they don't do a knee jerk reaction regulation, that it's

[20:19] something that can be worked with and it best serves the community.

[20:23] It has been in the past, used before

[20:27] when the town needed to consult its ordinance on storage units.

[20:31] So this is not a new thing.

[20:33] This is something that you have used in the past.

[20:35] This is now just that formalized formalizing

[20:38] the emergency ordinance to go past that 90 days.

[20:43] So you've already discussed the merits of what that temporary prohibition is.
