We're going to get started. It's March 12, 2026, and it's 5.35 p.m. I am grateful. Everybody's here today for our board meeting. I'm Courtney. I'm the board chair. We need to go around and take a roll call. Courtney, more here. Playbacker here.
[0:20]
And Janay. Janay, how are you? Awesome. Thank you. And then do you want to just have everyone? Yeah, say who they are on the board.
[0:29]
That's great. This is Nicole Jones.
[0:32]
Kevin Coleman.
[0:34]
Roger Simpson.
[0:35]
And we'll go around here too.
[0:41]
I know.
[0:44]
Angie, there we go.
[0:47]
Gary Van Adam Vanner.
[0:49]
Awesome. Thank you. Welcome, everybody. Thanks for taking the time to be here at our meeting today.
[0:54]
We're going to get started first by reading the mission statement of Voyage Academy.
[0:58]
and we've learned you might find it very good.
[1:01]
We already have an educated,
[1:03]
so cultivating student growth through ex-finitionary learning,
[1:06]
our mission is to promote responsibility,
[1:09]
integrity and the development of essential life skills
[1:11]
that engage students toward becoming respectful,
[1:13]
compassionate and motivated lifelong veterans.
[1:16]
Thank you.
[1:19]
Okay.
[1:22]
We welcome public comments and we've got many visitors today.
[1:26]
So welcome everybody.
[1:28]
We're going to take the time to listen to what you have to say.
[1:32]
Just be aware as we do public comments, you're going to speak to us.
[1:35]
And we're grateful to listen to you because we're all,
[1:39]
we're all happy to be here at Void Academy and your voice is important too.
[1:42]
So we have to set a timer.
[1:45]
It will be three minutes.
[1:47]
And then we'll just politely let you know that your time is over.
[1:50]
We won't be able to discuss any public comments, answer questions or anything.
[1:54]
but we'll make sure that somebody contacts you if you have a comment. We'll make sure that we've
[1:59]
followed her with that. Somebody from the school will get in touch, okay? Any questions before we
[2:04]
move forward? Yeah, that's okay. So what we talk about is not going to be addressed at all,
[2:15]
but might be addressed or could be addressed later by somebody from the school.
[2:19]
or is that what I serve?
[2:20]
Yeah, we won't be able to, like, answer questions.
[2:25]
It's not, since it's not on our agenda,
[2:26]
we have to follow our approved board agenda,
[2:29]
but we will make sure we want to listen
[2:31]
to what you have to say.
[2:33]
And then somebody, Ali is on for the school,
[2:35]
we'll contact you and make sure that you let,
[2:38]
we let you know if changes are gonna be made
[2:41]
or if we're following a different direction
[2:42]
and we'll make sure you don't.
[2:44]
But it's not gonna be like a long kind of conversation
[2:47]
If that makes sense. Yeah, it's just an opportunity for you to share like any concerns or comments that you have for whatever reason you come to share public comment.
[2:58]
And then it's taken into consideration is the board as a whole makes a decision for this school.
[3:06]
Okay.
[3:09]
We have a paper that we need to make sure you fill out if you do a public comment. It's right here. So Adam, we're going to set the timer if you want to just talk to us. We're we're very calm board. Yeah.
[3:22]
It's pretty much but I just I don't want you to be nervous, even though I seem nervous.
[3:29]
We're a group of parents, educators, we want to hear what you have to say, so please don't be nervous. We're happy to communicate and hear what you have to say.
[3:41]
I love my children.
[3:44]
I get nervous like I want to be with my kids much as I can.
[3:50]
and so then we had an email or something go out saying hey we're gonna adjust the hours
[3:58]
and me myself like time I can make these adjustments I can move back my work schedule but then
[4:05]
the hours it was how I feel was the school was taking it was longer like I want your children
[4:17]
and for more, which is how I feel.
[4:20]
Okay.
[4:21]
And so I am like, no, please let me have my child.
[4:25]
I want to influence them.
[4:27]
They're here so much around all these other influences,
[4:31]
which are great.
[4:32]
That's why we chose schools to go down.
[4:35]
But then I would love to influence my cases
[4:39]
as much as I can.
[4:40]
And I feel like, okay, the school might be taking more
[4:44]
and more of that opportunity away from me.
[4:46]
Okay.
[4:46]
So I would leave that we just don't extend school just, I mean, I'm sure there's some,
[4:53]
somebody has some research somewhere that it's better for a kid to stay longer at school,
[4:58]
but I could argue with that research all day long, say they need to be outside playing with me,
[5:06]
their brothers. So do you have to make your decisions, please?
[5:15]
I think that that sounds like a wonderful dad. I think that's great. So perfect. Anything
[5:21]
else you'd like to add? No. Okay. No, you have another minute. You do. So I just
[5:27]
didn't want to tie you short. Okay. Okay. That's great. I know Mrs. Goldman's had lots of
[5:37]
her it's reach out and she's she's wonderful she's going to make sure that all of the voices are heard and your voices heard too. So there are several things to consider and we'll work through that with as the board and as the administration.
[5:52]
I think that's great.
[5:53]
Adam and I were able to speak as students on conference as well.
[5:57]
We're able to ask some great questions.
[6:00]
That's good. Okay. Perfect. I don't think we have any other public comments. That's the only one. Okay. Great. Well, we're going to continue to move along with our board agenda. Adam, you're welcome to stay if you want.
[6:13]
But it's probably going to be pretty boring. So you're welcome to leave and we won't be offended. But please know you're you're welcome to stay here.
[6:23]
Okay. Okay.
[6:27]
We have a few board candidates here that we'd love to get to know a little
[6:34]
bit more. So we're going to take some time to let you introduce yourself. We want to hear
[6:39]
what you can provide for Boyd Academy, why you love Boyd Academy, and why you're here today.
[6:46]
So we will just do you want to have them individually?
[6:50]
Yes. Okay. Individually. Yeah. So there's some chairs out here. I don't know who you want. Oh, Angie, when I went on the board, we just kind of we did do it that way. How did you just hang out here?
[7:03]
Have you?
[7:05]
Is there anybody?
[7:07]
Yeah, let's just keep everybody here.
[7:09]
Yeah, it's good to get to know our candidates, right?
[7:11]
Yeah.
[7:14]
Okay, I mentioned right now. I have three kids that will come for which. My middle started for kindergarten. And that's it. And my youngest is in third grade now.
[7:28]
And I have worked for my sister.
[7:33]
I love the teachers here, right?
[7:38]
Have you all stayed up?
[7:40]
I don't know.
[7:43]
I've never had a fight about where to left.
[7:47]
The teachers here are like the parents here.
[7:49]
I've had a volunteer once or twice a week if I can.
[7:55]
I am a business owner.
[7:56]
I have 70 PS stores.
[7:58]
So I have a good base of.
[8:00]
You know, I'm already helping, I do like 10 hours, I do, I do all of that kind of stuff in the case.
[8:08]
I'm not going to count in tonight.
[8:10]
So I have a degree in that, but I do have a good fellow.
[8:12]
They said that during that year 2011, and how that's great.
[8:18]
I have 70 employees, so I have a great face of working with people to be able to manage people, but knowing how to keep people.
[8:30]
I'm interested in it because I love to help growth, I love to see growth, I love to see
[8:39]
success and processes to get to that point and to work what doesn't work.
[8:45]
Not something that I really interested in, and I think that's a good thing.
[8:50]
I'm so fresh.
[8:52]
It's an ear, so that's great. Thank you. All right.
[9:01]
I'm Robert Handy.
[9:03]
Off through my kids have gone here.
[9:06]
You start off knowing the integrity of the high school now.
[9:09]
That's to go and do the function.
[9:12]
I don't know.
[9:19]
So I've been coming here since, I think it was the second year that schools opened at
[9:24]
Noah's started and some of the bill trips, the watchdog I get there, we're here and
[9:31]
we love this school, it's great environment, we love to be able to contribute anyway we can
[9:38]
like I've got a little volunteer as much as I've had career changes and shifts and stuff, but
[9:44]
we still come and hang out and try to support the school folks in Canada as far as
[9:49]
other stuff. I spent 22 years working in health care, starting primary medicine, and then
[9:55]
just a great therapist, and I have a master degree and an MBA. I work at FedEx currently.
[10:02]
So, no, I mean, she's got a, she's got seven spots open and you can't step each time.
[10:15]
But, you know, I mean that my interest in doing this was never anything I could say.
[10:20]
Then came here each time, I'm like, this is a horrible.
[10:24]
So, so I decided to show up.
[10:28]
I'm just, you know, I'm just, my interest would be in helping keep this full what it is,
[10:34]
like the fact that we're going to do an expeditionary learning and how the kids are taught
[10:38]
here I love and we've, you know, embraced it throughout all the years and it's been a great
[10:43]
environment for all of our kids. You know, I like to help. There's things that we've found
[10:48]
that maybe we can see some improvements in things, but trying to transition kids from like
[10:53]
six grade until the junior highs and stuff because it's wildly different and we get some
[10:59]
road bumps trying to transition the kids out and so you know anything I can do to help
[11:03]
them to positive impact I've got to be doing.
[11:07]
I'm not the right person for it and that's
[11:08]
point two. I'm just happy then. We're having to move on. That's great. Thank you.
[11:23]
Well I'm
[11:25]
hard as I got to be here when we first started and now with your expanding and that is so exciting
[11:32]
to me to see where the wages headed. So I taught young children for 33 years and I taught
[11:43]
kindergarten for 20. So from before I taught in the public school system I taught at Weber State
[11:50]
University of the lab school. And maybe most of you don't know what I'm just gonna
[11:55]
let you know kind of where my, this is from my foundation is for children because
[12:00]
I feel my strengths are to be an advocate for children and for teachers obviously
[12:08]
because I was one for many years. So when I worked at Weber State, I worked at the
[12:13]
lab school and it was a preschool that also we had students that came into our
[12:18]
classrooms. So I taught student teachers and then a lot of different research
[12:23]
and things like that. As part of we were to say I we share a West nine who was a
[12:29]
colleague of mine. We went and did presentations and all over the country really
[12:35]
about young children and the best ways and practices to teach young children. I
[12:41]
have written two books, a new fraction. So I've written two books with very
[12:46]
last literacy play. I said, water play, they're still available. I was on, on Amazon, I checked
[12:53]
today, like, yeah, you can still get them on Amazon even though they were written in the early 2000s.
[12:59]
So basically my, my strengths are, you know, to teach young children how to teach them appropriately
[13:10]
they through play so they could be a whole railroaded person and I'm passionate about emotional development
[13:18]
social development as well as academic and I feel like they all work together and it's important
[13:24]
to have all of them there and so part of my love voyage is because voyage does work on those
[13:32]
social skills and those emotional skills through different ways and I'd love to keep that and the
[13:39]
So there's an area learning is really important to me because it's hands-on and I think that's
[13:43]
an important way for children to learn and to keep, and to make that learning applicable
[13:49]
in their own life so that they can remember it and they can continue using it throughout
[13:56]
their life.
[13:56]
And that it's not just a separate thing, it's not just a, but it's all put together.
[14:03]
And so that's just super important to me.
[14:06]
So I love voyage. I really do love voyage and I would love to be an applicant and assist children in a different way.
[14:18]
So I'm just totally loving being retired.
[14:22]
I have to say my husband and I have had some really good times together and I feel very happy and I'm like, hey, I can do this.
[14:33]
And then I could have my foot in the door, but still be retired.
[14:37]
What a beautiful world is that, right?
[14:40]
That's right.
[14:41]
That would know a little bit about that, right?
[14:47]
That's me.
[14:48]
There you go.
[14:49]
You know, my husband's set children.
[14:53]
You know, and there you go.
[14:55]
That's great.
[14:56]
Thank you.
[14:56]
Thank you.
[14:57]
I'm going to kill you, I'm going to kill you.
[14:59]
I'm going to kill you.
[15:01]
Yes, yes. Yes. Yeah. But you can see my picture here. I'm very young, but I was it was fun and my. I'm. Okay. I'm really.
[15:21]
I'm very good. All right. All right.
[15:37]
but not least a listen to. I did not expect myself to be here. I find myself in a weird position that's there that my daughter and have two grand
[15:51]
but they didn't call around spring, such a pretty good thing.
[15:55]
It's a unique party a lot when they come, but we don't get spend all the time.
[16:00]
So my daughter who teaches science at Syracuse High is about to have a baby in August.
[16:08]
And with the world being what it is, they both need work.
[16:13]
And so my husband and I discuss them.
[16:16]
I get to just be grandma.
[16:19]
I get to spend my days with the baby, I went to show weeks.
[16:25]
I always do what I need right now.
[16:28]
I'm maybe re-placed yet.
[16:30]
So I'm so excited for this.
[16:35]
I felt a lot of emotion, sorry.
[16:38]
I have been with Wage in.
[16:40]
I have a unique perspective.
[16:43]
I have been a parent.
[16:45]
I help I remember raising money for books.
[16:49]
and when all the mismatch furniture and moving all the mismatch furniture and avoid it will be first started.
[16:58]
But I've been, I have a lot of different perspectives.
[17:01]
I've been a parent, I've been a CEO, I've done subbing, I've been an RTI, and then teaching.
[17:10]
And I've done Acidis, which is huge and coming up soon.
[17:15]
And I think I have a different perspective on a lot of things because I've been in so many different views for different positions throughout the school.
[17:27]
I love voyage. I love what it did for my voice. I love what it did for me.
[17:38]
I'm going to go home now.
[17:44]
And the opportunities and the growth that I experienced here and the future and the person and I'm not ready for that to be completely over.
[17:56]
I thought I could be a very valuable member with curriculum with having a perspective of teachers and kids are so different now than when I started.
[18:23]
I feel like I can be a great health in those areas and just understanding the culture
[18:36]
So we have here because we have amazing culture of voyage that we lost for a little bit during COVID because of how weird things are and how we've gotten it back and how awesome it is and it's changed and we didn't lose it because we lost it because of the things but it was there, but all those things that we couldn't do that make us who we are.
[19:01]
and the cool things like pet parades and field work and guest speakers that come and sign bookmarks for our kids and all of those cool experiences that we did happen.
[19:14]
So I love voyage. I've been here since forever since we started and I would love to be able to continue having the growth to still be part of that and help where I can.
[19:35]
I think that's great.
[19:45]
I'm sure you're all aware that Boyage Academy couldn't run without a board.
[19:52]
So while sometimes all the time, our job is in the background.
[19:56]
But we have to have a working board for the school to be here.
[20:00]
So you'd be a crucial member to the team, even though it'd be not as involved as you were as a teacher,
[20:07]
or even sometimes as a parent, it's a unique opportunity to be part of the school and to be able to volunteer
[20:14]
and give your time because your time and your talents do go to our students.
[20:19]
So it's just a different way.
[20:21]
Do you have any questions for the board that we can answer?
[20:26]
Are you guys aware of the terms?
[20:28]
Usually it's three years, six years, yeah.
[20:31]
Okay, we try to keep a diverse board.
[20:36]
So we have people from all walks of life,
[20:39]
all walks of careers.
[20:41]
We have parents, we have community members,
[20:43]
we have previous teachers.
[20:45]
So we try to keep that as an option as we select our boards.
[20:50]
So we can provide the best to the table for our students
[20:55]
to make sure all of our bases are covered and we can provide for those students and support our
[21:01]
administration to support our teachers. So any questions before we move on?
[21:10]
All right. That's
[21:12]
good. Okay. Well, we'll we'll be in touch. We're going to move on with our agenda as we invited
[21:19]
day right Adam I'm so sorry Adam as we invited Adam you're welcome to stay
[21:26]
you're welcome to go our feeling won't hurt be hurt if you decide to leave but
[21:31]
we do have policies to review and direct report to hear so stamps as long as
[21:38]
you would like and then our feelings are hurt if you just walk out when you're
[21:42]
ready to go okay yeah that would be great yeah that would be great
[21:49]
Okay, we'll take five minute break and then we will reconvene.
[21:55]
Okay, we're going to come back from our break.
[21:59]
We need to say the time 6 o' 5 p.m.
[22:02]
And we are going to move to our committee report.
[22:05]
And we're going to start with Roger for a finance committee report.
[22:08]
Well, Janay, you're not going to present it.
[22:12]
I'll leave it up to you.
[22:16]
You correct me by saying anything wrong.
[22:17]
All right folks, it's hard to know where to start when it's been so busy.
[22:25]
A lot's gone on since the last time we've met.
[22:28]
Okay, so I'll try to keep it succinct and I'm sure Camille will fill in the gaps with director with one later.
[22:35]
Budget wise, we've got a few things that are going on.
[22:38]
One, we're trying to first manage closely the construction budget.
[22:43]
And then two, we have this dynamic with the session ending.
[22:46]
and we're getting some soft numbers coming out of that
[22:49]
and we're starting to look ahead just over the horizon
[22:52]
at next year.
[22:54]
I think it's hard to believe I know,
[22:56]
but we are at that time of the year
[22:57]
where we need to start looking at wrapping up this year
[23:00]
and spending time for next year.
[23:02]
So this is where they're like the sprint to the finish.
[23:05]
Maybe we'll try to wrap everything up,
[23:07]
get things ready for the board from the main board.
[23:11]
Is that the main one?
[23:12]
Wow.
[23:12]
So we've got a lot to do to renown men. We've got wrap up the final budget this year. We've got the next budget next year for the next year.
[23:22]
We have all of the changes to salary schedule, play contracts, the whole campaign, right. We're trying to take all of that and do that with the next couple of months, which we generally do, but it's a risk.
[23:36]
It's a risk.
[23:37]
Let's start with construction, though, because we meet all the weekly with staff, the faculty,
[23:42]
honesty partners, and everyone involved there. We go through the change orders, we look at the budget
[23:47]
effect that some of those have. We went in, we've got out, came out of the bond, three finance,
[23:53]
last fall, and we'll see some of those accounts in our lower left hand corner of the budget summary
[24:01]
there, but what we've done since we last met is take sounds, a construction budget,
[24:08]
compared to audits whose pro forma, and then also merge that into the budget that you're seeing here.
[24:13]
So hopefully all the numbers now that we've asked a few conversations, we've taken whatever credit,
[24:18]
staff has, for example, and tear that into the pro forma, and then merge that into what you're seeing
[24:23]
here. Our goal as we're coming out of it is to make sure that we don't dip too far into our reserves
[24:31]
so as to maintain adequate level cash coming out of it, so that we maintain a stable
[24:37]
and a positive outlook on the funds, the S&T abilities. So you'll see in the upper right hand corner
[24:43]
we've laid out some of the targets that we want to meet. We have what our approved budget was
[24:47]
and what our current new forecasting. So right now based on all of our targets and what our current
[24:53]
forecast is, everything on our financial metrics is looking pretty solid. We'd like to make sure
[24:59]
that we keep, well, we'll let one get service.
[25:02]
Remember well about that.
[25:04]
And our days cash, that's the one of the closing monitor
[25:07]
because we're trying some reserves
[25:10]
to help fund the expansion.
[25:12]
So right now we're targeting a 150 days cash
[25:16]
and we're forecasting about 280 days coming out of it.
[25:19]
So all those numbers look really good.
[25:22]
Any questions on the metrics?
[25:25]
The budget summary, so they offer a left hand corner.
[25:28]
There's a new category that we've added under the 6,000, so they gave us basically an account that we can start using for budgeting certain months.
[25:38]
So we've came into the year with very healthy cash reserves to commit towards the expansion.
[25:45]
And so what you're seeing there is basically our commitment to the expansion, if our forecast holds true.
[25:50]
That's going to go up or down for month to month, depending on whether how much we drop on reserves.
[25:55]
But with well over $5 million or some
[25:58]
understood to cash,
[25:59]
quit towards the project.
[26:00]
Is that number right there?
[26:02]
What the cost will for us to work with?
[26:03]
And that's built into that to a
[26:05]
state cash off.
[26:07]
That can't offer that we have there.
[26:09]
Any questions on that?
[26:12]
Okay, everybody else looks pretty good.
[26:14]
I just thought I would throw it throw in the cash investment
[26:16]
accounting lower.
[26:18]
That's what we can track those.
[26:19]
The one that we're drawing on.
[26:22]
A is the bond project fund.
[26:24]
but some puts $7 million, so it's currently in that account.
[26:28]
And it will draw on that progressively over the next month
[26:30]
through the end of construction.
[26:33]
Nice thing about all those bond accounts that we have funded
[26:37]
is that they're all interfering right now.
[26:40]
Returned on investment this last month with $46,000.
[26:45]
So we anticipate being able to carry that through the next few months.
[26:50]
Obviously, that's going to come down as we draw on a project plan
[26:53]
because we have cash use for the project.
[26:57]
But even still, we're happy to have that talent for the project.
[27:01]
All the more we can hold back on how to preserve for you.
[27:06]
Okay.
[27:06]
That's great.
[27:08]
Any questions?
[27:09]
No, Matt.
[27:10]
Well, can good.
[27:11]
Okay.
[27:12]
I'll leave it.
[27:13]
Okay.
[27:15]
Awesome.
[27:15]
All right.
[27:18]
Finance reports done.
[27:19]
We don't have anything to report for the audit committee school safety committee. How's that going? Can we do my discussion on school safety?
[27:26]
I will do that. We have our next safety meeting is actually next Monday, but let me also have a little bit on safety. What we've been doing with the construction and with the men that need to access our school during school hours.
[27:45]
because we pride ourselves on being very careful with who comes in and out of our school.
[27:49]
And what we do, we do need these people to work during the school day.
[27:54]
And so, um, that was been great.
[27:56]
If they need to enter the building, they always come through the front door.
[28:00]
They let us know sometimes they'll need to come in and they need to check something out, do something.
[28:05]
They try to do most of their in-school things outside of school hours.
[28:09]
Right now they're working on the back, they're working on the kitchen area.
[28:12]
so they have thin stuff from the project.
[28:15]
They've finished over to the kitchen area
[28:17]
so they can just walk through there.
[28:20]
A lot of balls are going over the fence
[28:22]
and that's been a little game in it
[28:26]
because they're like,
[28:26]
fine, that's new ball wall.
[28:28]
And they can't get it,
[28:30]
not fit it over that wall.
[28:33]
So sometimes we have to open the door
[28:34]
to do the mud or back, which is fun.
[28:37]
But they've been great.
[28:38]
It's been great to kind of honor our time
[28:41]
to work hard during our holidays.
[28:45]
I've seen them even here not often,
[28:47]
but I've seen them here on a Saturday
[28:49]
get some things done schedule.
[28:52]
They'll move those fences as they need to.
[28:55]
We've had to, for instance, right now,
[28:58]
there's no access through our fourth grade door
[29:00]
that one went down and now our sixth grade door is down.
[29:04]
So lunch is all accessing through one door in the lunch room
[29:08]
which is the North Shore, and after school, we're all at the scene.
[29:13]
They're great to ourselves.
[29:15]
They're going to definitely, but safety wise, they're great to work with, they let us know.
[29:20]
And that's been, that's their very positive.
[29:22]
And then I would even think, and maybe we should let parents know
[29:26]
with all these construction guys walking around.
[29:30]
Maybe we should let them know that, hey, we're fenced off.
[29:33]
You know, the kids, there's not access to children.
[29:35]
And you know, that might be some piece of my day.
[29:38]
Well, maybe Paris I thought whether, you know,
[29:41]
I'm just concerned guys, but we have to dress up
[29:44]
in our fitness side, right?
[29:46]
I'm very excited about that.
[29:47]
That's good.
[29:50]
All right.
[29:50]
I think that's great marketing and curriculum.
[29:53]
Do we have much to touch on now?
[29:55]
We haven't had anything that has to be addressed.
[30:02]
We've looked at a writing curriculum with our vertical alignment, the LA team. It's not a huge expense
[30:10]
one where we need a full committee for, but we are going to pick up a writing curriculum
[30:15]
because wonders are great. Yeah, I was going to say something like that. I love that. You have
[30:20]
wonders, doesn't it? Because there's not a lot of support. They will say that there's all kinds
[30:25]
I think it's in the program, but it takes like rocket science to figure out how to make
[30:32]
it work.
[30:33]
So I think that's a great idea.
[30:35]
Yeah, we can do that.
[30:36]
I have a writer about that today.
[30:38]
And it's just, it's just long enough.
[30:40]
One that that it is readable or it's 12,000 for three years.
[30:45]
Just a good one.
[30:46]
That's a great digital one.
[30:48]
It's a license.
[30:49]
Yeah.
[30:49]
It's a digital one.
[30:50]
The license.
[30:51]
Yes.
[30:53]
Wonderful.
[30:54]
All right.
[30:54]
Recommendation committee.
[30:55]
How's that going?
[30:57]
I don't know.
[30:57]
Sorry.
[30:58]
Yeah.
[30:59]
And feedback is that the team members are in loving it.
[31:03]
And they look forward to it.
[31:05]
And that's good.
[31:06]
Like Mike, you're a great thing to do next year, too.
[31:10]
Yeah.
[31:11]
It's been requested.
[31:12]
It's been requested from the teachers.
[31:15]
Yeah.
[31:16]
Well, that's a no-brainer.
[31:18]
If we found something that works.
[31:28]
Yeah, I guess we should like be there with bagels with the board, but just put her picture up. There we go. We like you.
[31:35]
I don't know.
[31:36]
I'll drop you off.
[31:38]
I'll go to walk around.
[31:39]
Oh, but I love that.
[31:41]
I think they all kind of need to come at different times.
[31:44]
Yeah.
[31:44]
But I tried to date just for the little first part, but also not intrude on their time getting
[31:50]
ready.
[31:51]
Yeah.
[31:51]
So I just go around with the tie.
[31:54]
That's good.
[31:54]
Yeah.
[31:55]
I'm so glad to hear that because, you know, we have to get these grand plans.
[32:00]
plan, but if we find something that's I think it's so simple for us, then it's very
[32:05]
nice.
[32:06]
What's the key to not reinvent the wheel?
[32:10]
That's good.
[32:10]
It's really good.
[32:11]
Awesome.
[32:12]
Yep.
[32:12]
Good.
[32:13]
All right.
[32:13]
Uh, development committee.
[32:16]
Do you have anything for the development?
[32:18]
I think we just report where on schedule, when the schedule being still open on August 25.
[32:26]
Yep.
[32:26]
on these doubts. And this is even hinted at then being done earlier, but they haven't given
[32:33]
that one. But yeah, but I think we believe them that'd be great. Yeah, we would think that
[32:39]
we would not adjust the schedule and keep it this the schedule opening date, but it would
[32:44]
give us a little more breathing room to the questions. So I think that's good enough to
[32:49]
report where we're on, we're on schedule. No major concerns, which is good on track. All right,
[32:59]
board chair comments. Keep up, good work.
[33:05]
Then we're just going to take a minute and move over to
[33:08]
the boardroom now. Kami wants to do her report with a project. So we're just going to go over there.
[33:14]
If you want to, you can, you can come join us for the board report to and then after that, we're gonna go on to post.
[33:22]
I have some data.
[33:23]
I think it's a library.
[33:25]
That's great.
[33:29]
I just cut myself.
[33:31]
Sorry about you in the face.
[33:38]
We're going to say it.
[33:39]
Yeah.
[33:54]
We're just taking a brief break to move into the board.
[33:59]
Okay, sounds good.
[34:01]
Okay,
[34:15]
there's a minute, two, it's plugged in in, um, dreams to have you here, I don't know
[34:24]
if you have a joke, right?
[34:25]
It's a
[34:27]
dream, there's dreams in the grid and you're welcome to the dreams in the grid,
[34:32]
and we have some really good, you're welcome to have that in the box.
[34:37]
But you two are, okay, I'm going to show you.
[34:39]
Snacks and everything, we don't use them like these.
[34:41]
Yeah, you're in a medical way.
[34:43]
You can hear some actors on the scene.
[34:45]
We do talk.
[34:46]
So if I do, you guys are your raps and you know,
[34:50]
it's if you do one of those or we can.
[34:54]
And there's this because we have two people missing.
[34:57]
So yeah, yeah, Danielle will be here about six, 30.
[35:01]
Okay, and then Dennis, I haven't heard back from him.
[35:04]
So, he can, he can, he can, he can.
[35:07]
Oh, I meant that should have told.
[35:09]
He said, I meant that should have called.
[35:11]
I can't make an actor out.
[35:11]
I have case except I heard something but oh in any email he's on fire you know these are very close
[35:19]
to me I'm sorry yeah
[35:29]
that was your name so we were kind of something that I was just covered
[35:36]
that's something I think it's I thought um I don't think we've ever been those big deals in
[35:44]
or on Ben's video, they had a picture when a bunch of bees on the shelf.
[35:49]
Oh really?
[35:50]
Which is how it works?
[35:51]
No.
[35:52]
I'm going to wear me a water.
[35:55]
Yeah, it's really fun.
[35:57]
Oh, I love it.
[35:58]
I have a lot of water.
[35:59]
Even one.
[36:00]
I really love it.
[36:00]
They have them.
[36:01]
And I get a Juha and W.
[36:03]
It's a very better flow.
[36:05]
Can you wear me have a water?
[36:07]
You don't really like it, but I think it's the best thing ever.
[36:09]
And that would be good.
[36:11]
It tastes like root beer with chocolate.
[36:14]
I want it like that. I think it's fought hardcore and they had it in the video and every time I go there I grab a pack.
[36:23]
Nobody drinks it for me, but I love it. I love it.
[36:27]
Okay, they have more.
[36:32]
Hey, you can get it. If you like it, keep it. If you don't like it.
[36:41]
I usually get the zero for the one. But I like it because there's no caffeine. I can't
[36:45]
drink caffeine either. That's insane. Everybody drinks the green. It's like two or four.
[36:51]
I can give myself to four five if I'm pushing it. My kids will say mom you can't drink that.
[37:00]
I have caffeine.
[37:02]
Can I finish up?
[37:03]
Sure.
[37:07]
Mm-hmm.
[37:08]
Okay.
[37:10]
All right.
[37:10]
Do you want your directors report pulled up first for your slides?
[37:16]
Um, yeah.
[37:17]
We can do.
[37:18]
I'm beginning to pull the director report.
[37:21]
I wish you want you.
[37:23]
I can just take it.
[37:23]
And then we go through the slides.
[37:25]
Okay.
[37:27]
You're good.
[37:28]
Good.
[37:29]
All right. Okay, I'm first off, just some quick calendaring fun things that are going to come up. I won't go through them all, but we will say happy birthday to Roger.
[37:44]
And for God's much.
[37:47]
Wow. Thank you.
[37:49]
We will say that and we will say happy birthday to Daniel.
[37:52]
anyone she gets that and chemical men let me forget March 21st. I am March 21st.
[38:01]
Do you
[38:02]
want to see for real? Okay okay March 21st is Nicole. That's right. Rod is March 31st and
[38:13]
And I'm marched for the first time.
[38:15]
I didn't put you name on it.
[38:17]
Oh no, I'm waiting for you too.
[38:22]
Now we're going to do it publicly in humiliating.
[38:25]
That's what I'm saying.
[38:27]
Maybe in the whole country.
[38:31]
OK, outside of the case, we have the pet phrase.
[38:35]
We're going to do it on April 10th.
[38:36]
If you wait, it will.
[38:38]
No, I'm sitting down as it snowed, yeah.
[38:41]
On April 16th, we are going to participate
[38:43]
in the great shakeout that Utah does, they have a time that they do it, but we're going
[38:49]
to do ours in the morning. We don't want to get up learning and curriculum. So we'll do
[38:53]
it in the morning when we do our regular drills, which is about 838-40 depending on kids coming in.
[39:00]
But that is the day for the great shakeout with freeing back on April, May,
[39:07]
person second that's when we'll have our school play. It'll be a circuit high this year.
[39:14]
It is a trigger island. Thank you. I had to think about that. I was picturing the appearance.
[39:20]
It is trigger island. So it's a play has been a huge success every year. We're finally
[39:27]
And again, it just to be amazing is well worth coming to the door.
[39:36]
So the doors are unlocked.
[39:38]
So he shouldn't just like
[39:43]
a little little little guide.
[39:48]
Let's see if there's someone who wants something to do it.
[39:52]
Okay.
[39:53]
Okay.
[39:54]
Maybe his.
[39:55]
No.
[39:55]
It should probably be.
[39:56]
Yeah.
[39:58]
It's right.
[40:06]
We're going to slide a board meeting in on April 9th.
[40:12]
That one will be to vote on speech contract, the speech IEPs are getting really big.
[40:23]
So our contract is going over 100,000, which means we need to go through procurement process
[40:29]
and we vote on that. So we are opening up features with RFP and that will always be a Zoom.
[40:38]
We'll just do a Zoom vote on that like we've done. We've done a lot of those this year.
[40:42]
Yeah. So even though they're just a little doom and we're finding on April 9th,
[40:46]
if that changes one of those people. I don't know if Danny's going to appreciate that.
[40:51]
We don't know how that is on our system. If we need to do the 8th we can.
[40:56]
Okay, if Danny's not there and we have the full core, yeah, we've been finding it live.
[41:03]
And our current speech contract they won the five for it and they're wonderful, I think.
[41:11]
Maybe we'll share.
[41:12]
Um, something to talk about, yeah, they've been, they've been there with us, but yeah,
[41:17]
kids are coming in, they're coming in, kids are coming in, kids are already with us,
[41:20]
each IEP it's the inflation and speech is then enough. So it will ever be worth. And
[41:30]
then it's to end the year where you're planning on biking fans, friends, at Clinton City
[41:38]
Park.
[41:40]
May 20th will do your book days. May 21st will be field day. We have Clinton Park
[41:47]
on reserve in case our background is not accessible feasible, yes, for a field of
[41:56]
day. So, it'll be on that day and we'll just have to see what we can do. We want to
[42:02]
do it here at our school if we can't then it will be a clean park. 21st is when we'll
[42:07]
do our sixth grade celebration, graduation celebration, and the 22nd end of your
[42:12]
something. I can't believe that we're even talking about these things. And we get a four
[42:19]
three month semester break. I have nothing but positive on that day. We've got that for a long time.
[42:28]
Well, did it just creep up and yeah, but didn't creep up? Well, when I was a kid,
[42:33]
when in fact school, yeah, on that day and then that would just seem like you're pushing it up and
[42:38]
I'd rather push it back into the weather.
[42:41]
So pretty.
[42:41]
Well, it depends on the train to get out
[42:43]
around the Memorial Day or before the Memorial Day.
[42:46]
And it's been so early that it's had to start
[42:48]
really, really, really worth it.
[42:50]
You're late, so we should start working in places.
[42:53]
And we need this start in the air,
[42:54]
so it's a good start to settle.
[42:57]
Yeah, so that'll be really effective as well.
[43:00]
She's lovely, really good, so much.
[43:01]
All right, any questions on Skiddle?
[43:05]
Like fun stuff.
[43:06]
Yeah, it has been probably the quickest and the craziest year so far being the director
[43:18]
but it's so rewarding to see what's going on so rewarding.
[43:25]
Okay, so when we have to last time it was asked to, we went over KG3 data because that's
[43:35]
but we have no opportunity to state.
[43:36]
And then Courtney said, hey, let's,
[43:38]
can we know a little bit about our four-true six?
[43:40]
So this is our reading data for upper grades.
[43:44]
And if you look at fourth grade, 74% at or above benchmark
[43:49]
that's on middle of year.
[43:52]
So they are a green or the blue.
[43:55]
And I will talk about the green and the blue next.
[43:58]
61 are achieving typical or above the typical growth.
[44:01]
So, that is the kids that have made a year's worth of growth, or are approaching that year's worth of growth,
[44:10]
61%. And like I said before, no matter where you start, you can have a fourth grader who reads on the third grade level.
[44:17]
As long as we're making a year's worth of growth, that's what we look at, and that's what matters, and that's right on what the state wants.
[44:23]
And then because they get fit and six and you can just see that our members are doing really well.
[44:31]
We're doing really well.
[44:32]
We're proud of the good.
[44:33]
The movement.
[44:35]
Part of some changes that we've made.
[44:37]
Part of our teachers working with a new curriculum.
[44:40]
It takes two to three years to be an inch of a new curriculum.
[44:42]
So that's something really good.
[44:44]
I think I'm pressed for those of the priest.
[44:46]
They have been.
[44:48]
They've been all the Portland allies.
[44:50]
There are phone calls to that, but it's been working out.
[44:55]
So I make some great new teachers too.
[44:57]
Yes.
[44:58]
I'm going to start it.
[45:00]
agenda team. Lisa Phillips will be, she will be hard to replace. That's going to be hard. Yeah, I'm going to share a place. I talked to the teacher today. I'm named for that is just yet, but I asked her, I think what do you think about this position? And she would be a good fit for it. But that's what we'll do right now. So we'll see. We'll fill with someone with some of it. Okay. So I want to, I want to
[45:29]
I want you to see this slide.
[45:33]
We all know that our, the state has given us this goal
[45:36]
in 2027 for 75% of graders to be reading on grade level.
[45:42]
The state is considering grade level
[45:44]
that this is changed, I think, for us to have taught.
[45:47]
The state considers grade level the blue.
[45:51]
The blue is actually above grade level,
[45:54]
but for this metric, for this goal,
[45:57]
they are only counting blue, which is a bug grade level. They are not counting the green,
[46:03]
which the green is grade level. It's, it's, it's, yeah, it is, it's really, well, they're
[46:09]
like, it is really weird why they're doing that.
[46:15]
So currently right now, our second grader's
[46:20]
right now middle of year are, who are going to be their third grader's next year to have
[46:25]
to meet that goal or reading at 71% if we take in the green and the blue.
[46:32]
Can we roll call in Danny really quick?
[46:34]
Yes, we have Danny Peterson there joining us.
[46:37]
Thank you.
[46:40]
So I wanted you to know that and there's not an educator in the world that agrees with that
[46:47]
because the blue is above grade level.
[46:50]
degree is at, I would have learned to be conference with Erica, who's over curriculum agenda
[46:59]
for over assessment, and there was a state representative there that said they are possibly
[47:04]
changing that goal. She said that change will happen in 2030, and then what, 80% of third
[47:13]
graders to be reading on grade level, but they will count the green and the blue.
[47:19]
Again, very lofty, 80% is lofty, but they're going to count the green and the blue
[47:24]
and we are actually tracking to be there.
[47:29]
Yeah, to be in the dirty and the end of the year and we've got to give this a surprise.
[47:34]
So the 2047-11 might go away.
[47:37]
There you go.
[47:38]
It might be replaced with the 2030 gold.
[47:42]
That's up on the hill right now.
[47:44]
We're talking about that.
[47:46]
So this is what comes down like with the kids when he says out the paper that said your child is out or a bird or a flower or whatever, okay.
[47:53]
I think you, I think parents don't get the rainbow. You get a little, they get the little, it's a dark rainbow.
[48:01]
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
[48:03]
A little walk a little bit with the colors in. Yeah.
[48:07]
Okay.
[48:07]
Okay. Okay. Okay. So that I just think you need to know everything. All right. So then let me look here on my whether we have to the next thing I just want to talk about Rod Paul visited him. I represent it went very well.
[48:28]
I was super impressed with him, to be honest, he had great questions set down with Anna and I,
[48:33]
that's about the school, that's about our feelings, express some of his frustrations with the process,
[48:40]
and it was a great, it was a good visit, and I appreciate it that he is trying to visit all of the
[48:46]
schools in Facebook for really cool guys. Certainly our enrollment for next year is at five,
[48:54]
506. It's lower than we want it to be. We know that we have some summer change. We can have a shift between 30 and 40 people. So we try to get that up into going into the summer into the 570s.
[49:10]
Our charter is 525. You can only go a little bit above that. We can go.
[49:14]
Well, our church will increase now with the charter.
[49:21]
We'll go a hundred more.
[49:22]
Yeah, but yeah.
[49:24]
And I'm sorry to speak about what they called that.
[49:26]
What I applied for.
[49:27]
It was an extension.
[49:28]
Yeah, the enrollment extension.
[49:29]
Thank you.
[49:30]
So that'll go up.
[49:31]
But currently, yeah, we're sitting at 556.
[49:34]
And we're going to see what's in a big push to get more people.
[49:38]
The of our marketing of our presence.
[49:42]
How do you push that?
[49:43]
Like, what's the matter with that?
[49:45]
The whole ads have been doing very well for us,
[49:48]
so we will add Facebook, Instagram,
[49:53]
Vicki Mortensen, there's our PR on marketing.
[49:56]
You make some reels, she puts them out there.
[50:00]
There's a price of other name because I don't know,
[50:04]
because I don't know, I don't know, I don't know.
[50:06]
Emily have Facebook.
[50:08]
Yeah, we've got our yard signs
[50:10]
at least we put in, we've asked our teachers who don't live in Clinton but one in their yard
[50:15]
kind of got those around. We're trying to get into the, what is this one? It's not
[50:23]
skinny dogs, it's not fat cats. Oh, as the ads on the screen. Yeah, there is skinny dogs.
[50:31]
This one's fat cats. We're trying to get into the ads on the screen there. And word of mouth,
[50:38]
I don't know if there's any questions like those that are
[50:40]
spiritual questions around here and see if you can do one with them.
[50:43]
Yeah.
[50:44]
And by them for like a tour or like an activity,
[50:47]
like when we have the day of January,
[50:49]
we can do like, sometimes games at the school,
[50:52]
like at the end of the year,
[50:54]
or we need to share our heads there.
[50:56]
And then we can do a lot of well-connected things.
[51:00]
Yeah, maybe do some fly sets and buyers at the school that
[51:04]
like that.
[51:05]
We did an open house and it went for kindergarten.
[51:07]
it went really well. We're going to do another one. We're going to do an end-of-year activity and
[51:12]
fight the whole community. It's going to be a family moving night and it's open to anyone who wants
[51:19]
to come. So we're going to try and push for some of those things. The carnival, we're going to
[51:26]
see if we're going to do a food at the fair. There's a spring walk about thingy for Clinton City.
[51:34]
Are they going to have this?
[51:35]
You can do a booth, you can't like sell anything, obviously, but you can do swag, you can do
[51:40]
stuff from the Easter egg hunts better.
[51:42]
They're doing a Easter wifi.
[51:44]
Like some things have come through the pumpkin a little bit.
[51:46]
You can have, you can't sell but you can have some vocabulary.
[51:51]
Okay.よね.
[51:53]
That all
[51:54]
seems like a big help. Yeah.
[51:55]
Yeah, and the feast turned out candy and stuff because the kids will be coming around the city for about okay instead. Yeah, I like their Viking stickers. We have some that'd be great.
[51:57]
Yeah.
[52:07]
Well, they're where you've had it. They're where you've had like a logo, but that you can get some swag. So okay, I'll find out when you know about it. I see up. I'm a little bit up in the Christmas one, too. Yes, I win it to watch the choir.
[52:21]
If you guys need one there were different schools that had students there we're gonna do that
[52:26]
next year. We didn't know that that was a thing. We needed to think about that before.
[52:33]
Yeah. The schools came to see it but yeah they were there seeing it. Yeah but I didn't
[52:37]
know these. I didn't even think to have a school come in from the airport but this spring
[52:43]
walk. That's an excellent idea. Easter hop, April 4th, 10 to 11.30. And it's $15 to be 10
[52:53]
of it. I will send you with it. Okay. Yep. We probably have to get on that. But that's
[53:03]
Okay. That's awesome. We will have people there.
[53:08]
Okay. Let me see. Okay. School report card. So here we are at the school report card. We did really well.
[53:18]
We, if you look, it was academy and then compared to the state, we, ELA for the state 44%
[53:27]
work 49, math is the same, 44 and 44, so we do have some work to do in math.
[53:36]
I, Davis School District is very well in their math.
[53:40]
I talked to the Davis School District employee that teaches in elementary schools and that's what they are using. They are using our writing math. That is what we use.
[53:51]
And he gave me some pointers of things that they do in the district to get those towards up. So we're going to do a big push with math and kind of work on getting our board better than that.
[54:04]
Science, we have to dial the ballpark.
[54:08]
The state is 51 and we are 65.
[54:11]
Our growth scores are really good.
[54:13]
Our growth scores are all turning higher than the state.
[54:16]
They are beautiful.
[54:20]
And are there any questions on the report first?
[54:24]
This report correct can be accessed by anyone that you have seen.
[54:27]
This is now published on anyone can access the report.
[54:32]
And we feel good about it. We're sitting, we're sitting really good and working on getting better.
[54:38]
We've trended every year getting better and better.
[54:40]
So I do want to talk about badge report card and never have really brought that one up before.
[54:53]
But they're doing great.
[54:54]
So the standard goal is 6%, which I think that's 56, and that's 10% from last year for ELA and for math, 50, and where it's 65 and that's 4% from last year.
[55:07]
Our bottom 25% is growing at 71%. So that's really, really good.
[55:16]
We'll be able to do that.
[55:17]
And make some difference when you're in the small group
[55:20]
when you get out, you know, one on one,
[55:21]
that's gonna make a difference for any student, any child.
[55:25]
And so we're taking that anti-account,
[55:27]
we're shifting around how we're using co-teachers next year
[55:30]
to make sure that we can really maximize
[55:32]
those small groups that kids get in front of an adult,
[55:35]
one-on-one more, or three, you know,
[55:39]
to one more than they are right now.
[55:42]
Because we thought, let's do a first step,
[55:44]
Let's do it for the gin and this one.
[55:49]
Booster fond, it really well.
[55:52]
We, I have 33 on here, but Amy said it was about $34,000.
[55:58]
That we made from the Booster fond.
[56:00]
So, they really well, I will never, again, eat a book.
[56:06]
It was affordable.
[56:08]
It was, yes, yes, they eat it for making a video.
[56:12]
It's made of maybe I have set that out to get money
[56:17]
And yeah, I mean, that's the hype we've ever seen.
[56:20]
We did really well, but the most affordable.
[56:22]
I have kids bringing me bugs during the school day.
[56:25]
That they find.
[56:28]
And here's a form.
[56:29]
Do you want to try this one?
[56:30]
And I said, that's a gentle one-time thing.
[56:32]
Let's see if we're not size.
[56:34]
Yeah.
[56:34]
I mean, how could they pay me $5,000?
[56:36]
We have $3,000.
[56:38]
I guess $3,000, $4,000, $4,000.
[56:40]
I like it.
[56:40]
Well, how would you do that?
[56:41]
You don't want me to?
[56:42]
Yeah.
[56:43]
Yes.
[56:43]
You said they're really falling, you can just put it on home, you can just stand up and do that every day.
[56:49]
You can just put it on the sofa, so...
[56:51]
You know, we're trying to...
[56:51]
Amy's putting that out there at lunch.
[56:53]
And this woman doesn't eat anything, but it's beautiful.
[56:55]
And it really just falls, isn't it?
[56:57]
And it's written to come off at me.
[56:59]
Oh, no, it's bad.
[57:00]
Oh, my kids are talking about it.
[57:02]
Yeah, they're talking about it.
[57:03]
Oh, they talked about that.
[57:04]
It's true.
[57:04]
Am I? It's true. It's bad.
[57:07]
It really was bad.
[57:09]
I don't think I could do it.
[57:10]
It really was.
[57:11]
Well, I don't want to gag reflex, and I don't throw up.
[57:15]
Um, I never throw up, and I thought, this is the first time.
[57:19]
I didn't have time.
[57:19]
I didn't, I know.
[57:20]
Yeah.
[57:21]
I asked everyone.
[57:22]
She said, like, I would have gone up to walk to you.
[57:24]
Oh, yeah.
[57:25]
Yeah.
[57:26]
But make one where she liked.
[57:28]
Yeah.
[57:29]
With a little gag.
[57:30]
And I've seen them before now.
[57:34]
I told David, I don't want to see them.
[57:35]
Oh, I've found before.
[57:37]
Anything about them.
[57:38]
I love that that conference and I was like, oh yeah, I'm holding it. It still has eyes. It's looking at me. I'm looking at it and I was like, if I was going to go to the... I could not reach you.
[57:52]
Is it a piece of a thing?
[57:53]
No, I didn't.
[58:03]
I don't know. And there's like, I've been small ones. I have my
[58:07]
slushy, but I had to chew for a minute. So looked good. Before I
[58:12]
got a drink, it really, I got a love thing. I love the
[58:16]
kids, but I will be. That was definitely a good picture of
[58:21]
you. That was that was so much.
[58:25]
We, we decided to boost
[58:28]
you're going every other year. Just so, we, I don't know, fresh. Yeah, there ain't a lot of things to do in this year,
[58:37]
that go towards the playground. And it gets big, that's 33,000 people to playground. That'll pay for the excavation.
[58:44]
Yeah, but yeah, it might, yeah, the playground will be about 300,000, but they don't know where it comes from.
[58:54]
Yeah, that's what it does. I mean, that's just so cool. So I make and say every year, we helped. Yep. We helped take that. We did that.
[59:04]
No one was with that. Other Rodgers just thank you.
[59:09]
Rodger needs help.
[59:10]
Rodger needs help.
[59:10]
I'm gonna be.
[59:11]
I'm gonna be.
[59:13]
We're under the, even on the big spring in like the nickel, they find in the heart of the
[59:18]
Roger band.
[59:19]
Yes.
[59:20]
It was a Roger band.
[59:22]
It is.
[59:23]
All right.
[59:25]
Staffing changes for next year so far just one that's a leap of the last.
[59:31]
And you know what?
[59:32]
She gets to say, home movie a grandma, I say this for you.
[59:35]
She will be lost.
[59:37]
That's a big loss.
[59:38]
She will reach.
[59:39]
She does an unknown teacher and I'm super glad that she still wants to participate in the School of Fisheries by being on the board.
[59:44]
Yeah, of course, very.
[59:46]
So we'll be looking to fill that position, that board for a position.
[59:51]
That's all I have on what we are up to.
[59:54]
And then the next thing.
[59:57]
These are the categories for the direct review.
[1:00:00]
Oops. So, it usually is this for meaning that you didn't go down. Okay. That way I have the.
[1:00:09]
Okay.
[1:00:12]
Was anybody have any desired categories you'd like to help us review Mrs. Coleman on at the end of the year.
[1:00:24]
Okay. Okay. Let's do Dennis. Yeah. Yeah. I'd be because Dan isn't here to do so. So I think Dennis is Dennis.
[1:00:34]
then you are listed as those people. So, what do you do? Dennis there.
[1:00:41]
Janay, did you have a preference? Do you want to do that? It doesn't matter if you want me to do
[1:00:48]
finance like I can, just about what? Where do you want to finance?
[1:00:53]
Lair, do you want communication?
[1:01:04]
I can help with the development and management.
[1:01:10]
and Val community outreach and Val if you want we could we could both do we could do five and six
[1:01:18]
together okay as we worked together on yeah development and management and
[1:01:31]
when we want to make sure
[1:01:34]
you get the I will send an email out I'll send an email with last year's and then a blank canvas for
[1:01:43]
you can expect that probably in the next year.
[1:01:47]
Okay, and everybody can do it where it's the like where we,
[1:01:51]
it's the shared one and we really,
[1:01:53]
I think we received yours for you.
[1:01:55]
Yeah, so you're giving me a due date.
[1:01:57]
Okay.
[1:01:58]
Um,
[1:02:00]
I think we do it last year.
[1:02:01]
It was,
[1:02:03]
it was in April,
[1:02:04]
so I think it was,
[1:02:06]
because like,
[1:02:07]
because I really want it.
[1:02:08]
You want to put a Mayboard field.
[1:02:09]
Yeah.
[1:02:10]
that I made in time to review it and then talk about it in the main one so what's
[1:02:16]
when do you think? How about the third week of April? Actually, second week of April, is that okay?
[1:02:23]
Let's see.
[1:02:27]
We want you to have a good spring break. So, why don't we do April 13th or April 15th?
[1:02:33]
Is that okay? Monday or Wednesday? Why don't we just do Wednesday 15th? Whatever? Yeah, okay.
[1:02:38]
And then if I get done per year, I can just do this.
[1:02:41]
Okay, so I'm going to set baby for a little bit.
[1:02:45]
Okay, I'll get that to everybody else by April 70.
[1:02:51]
And then let's have it back to me by May 1st.
[1:02:56]
Okay, I wanted to do I have the,
[1:03:01]
let's look to see if I have the editable one.
[1:03:03]
Okay.
[1:03:07]
Okay.
[1:03:07]
So I know I have last year's, I don't know if it's
[1:03:11]
edible, but it's in the form of an agency.
[1:03:13]
And I can look and see what I have.
[1:03:16]
Yeah.
[1:03:17]
I'm from USA, and I'll take a look at that.
[1:03:21]
You said what date for the Camines?
[1:03:25]
Cammy, Wednesday, April 15th.
[1:03:27]
I'll email the board by April 17th.
[1:03:31]
And then I need the board to bring it back to me by May 1st.
[1:03:34]
And then that will be plenty of change for our fourth meeting.
[1:03:40]
Secondly,
[1:03:44]
that will be made for us.
[1:03:49]
I can't wait for it.
[1:03:53]
That's not.
[1:03:54]
It's free break and consider.
[1:03:57]
And.
[1:04:00]
Happy birthday.
[1:04:01]
Happy birthday.
[1:04:02]
Yeah.
[1:04:02]
But we.
[1:04:04]
I know before you were here.
[1:04:05]
We said, were you here when she talked about a board meeting?
[1:04:09]
No.
[1:04:09]
meaning April 9th but that is your birthday. So we just need a quick Zoom meeting but if we can have
[1:04:16]
everybody else then you can address. I think we'll be okay. If we won't be okay then we'll do
[1:04:23]
it April 8th. Okay. That's okay. And it's just going to be 15 minutes. We have to do our speech
[1:04:30]
therapist. We have to do an RFP. Correct. And then we need to get that going so they can staff
[1:04:36]
Yeah, yeah.
[1:04:37]
Yeah.
[1:04:38]
It's a good time.
[1:04:39]
And yeah,
[1:04:41]
yeah.
[1:04:42]
So we'll make sure we get the if everybody else can be there.
[1:04:46]
Stay welcome.
[1:04:47]
And if you need me.
[1:04:49]
Okay.
[1:04:50]
You should be doing fun.
[1:04:51]
I'm going to be out of town.
[1:04:53]
So I just declared that spring break is my birthday week.
[1:04:56]
Yeah.
[1:05:00]
That's great.
[1:05:02]
It's so fun.
[1:05:03]
I'm sorry, your kids get to every day giving me two fun days.
[1:05:07]
This is your day to make it special for me.
[1:05:13]
And this is my me day, don't bug me.
[1:05:20]
Okay, that is, that's everything for the direct report.
[1:05:26]
And now we'll get more people.
[1:05:28]
Okay.
[1:05:29]
Okay, we want to do border problem policies.
[1:05:33]
Why don't we close session?
[1:05:35]
Let's do closed session now.
[1:05:37]
So I will make a take a motion to go into closed session.
[1:05:41]
I never took a motion to start meeting.
[1:05:42]
We don't need to do that.
[1:05:43]
Okay, can I get a motion to go into closed session
[1:05:48]
with the purpose to discuss the character professional
[1:05:50]
competence or physical or mental health of an individual?
[1:05:53]
First, do it too, you talk about this.
[1:05:55]
Then ophthalmacol in transit.
[1:05:56]
And then laced in emotional emotion that we go into to
[1:05:59]
voltage.
[1:06:01]
And then hopefully you just like second, for that
[1:06:04]
Pilate Forex, and then now
[1:06:07]
Thank you policy lines.
[1:06:09]
I.
[1:06:09]
And we need to roll call in.
[1:06:13]
OK, sorry.
[1:06:14]
Okay, we're going to roll calling the close
[1:06:16]
session, starting with Courtney Mark, live market, salary, healthy, and healthier funds.
[1:06:23]
And Janay, is she still here? Janay, yeah, Janay here. Okay, very good. Thank you,
[1:06:29]
though. We're going to go into close session. Once I got, let me do a, oh, sorry, say a
[1:06:33]
second. At 6.50 p.m. Then I will turn off the recording. Thank you. Thank you.
[1:06:57]
It's 7.53 now, and I'll take a motion to come out of post-session.
[1:07:01]
I, Valerie, all
[1:07:08]
in favor say aye.
[1:07:10]
Oh, you're all in court name for.
[1:07:16]
Valerie, I'll see.
[1:07:17]
Thank you, thank you.
[1:07:17]
Here's the problem.
[1:07:18]
Motion passed.
[1:07:19]
It's 4.20.
[1:07:21]
We're going to continue with the agenda and item,
[1:07:27]
post-session, we had some, especially
[1:07:28]
today.
[1:07:34]
Will you briefly tell us about our calendar changes and what we discussed.
[1:07:40]
Well, we have a good discussion, we have a really good discussion on our bell schedule.
[1:07:49]
We took into account some of the needs of our families.
[1:07:53]
We also took into account the, what's best for our students, what's best for the
[1:08:01]
climate that we are being right now with students having so many activities after school.
[1:08:07]
school, also with students having their grants for active and over in the mornings.
[1:08:13]
And so what we want to do is make a change to what happens in January of 15th, and their
[1:08:20]
goals in week 15 to 245 in Monday, Thursday, and our early out days will be 8.13 to 125.
[1:08:40]
Our entertainment motion to approve the amended 26th, 27th school year calendar with a new start
[1:08:45]
and in terms of
[1:08:56]
the second.
[1:08:57]
I vote in the falsies second.
[1:08:59]
That's motion.
[1:09:00]
All in favor say aye.
[1:09:01]
Aye.
[1:09:02]
Any of your play?
[1:09:05]
Motion passes.
[1:09:06]
4 to 0.
[1:09:07]
We also were able to review our new board minutes.
[1:09:13]
We'd like to name proof between the party and the radio.
[1:09:19]
Robert and Amy were fever and Elisa Phillips.
[1:09:22]
and all were really wonderful and provided unique skill sets and we would like
[1:09:31]
to offer the ability to avoid you can't be sport to all work at least every
[1:09:37]
campus. Their terms would be June, Saturday June 2026 and go through June 2029
[1:09:44]
for a through your term. So I'd like to take a motion to approve the four
[1:09:50]
interviewed for member candidates, as listed.
[1:09:57]
I'm delivering a listen to a group, or maybe
[1:10:00]
four.
[1:10:03]
Can I get a second?
[1:10:06]
I think I like both of you. That's not close to. All in favor say
[1:10:09]
aye. Aye. Approved. Or you don't approve the motion.
[1:10:27]
So currently we have Danielle Peterson
[1:10:30]
finishing off her second term and Dennis Henry is finishing on his first term and
[1:10:37]
She will not be here soon.
[1:10:40]
Let's see.
[1:10:41]
Lair Barker will be ending her term a year early,
[1:10:45]
and she will be leaving 6-23-6.
[1:10:51]
Valorant will see.
[1:10:52]
Would you like to continue your term?
[1:10:54]
Yes.
[1:10:54]
I would like to continue it.
[1:10:56]
Wonderful.
[1:10:57]
Would you like us to list another 3-year term?
[1:11:00]
Yes.
[1:11:00]
Please.
[1:11:01]
Okay.
[1:11:02]
Okay.
[1:11:04]
I'll
[1:11:07]
take a motion to approve Val.
[1:11:09]
we'll see to start for second term and it will go 626-626.
[1:11:17]
Thank
[1:11:26]
you all for your
[1:11:30]
support.
[1:11:30]
I'm Rose, I'm a group of those, say, N-8 or 0.
[1:11:33]
Welcome to the Board of Invalves.
[1:11:39]
Courtney and Renee have one more year for their second.
[1:11:45]
Well,
[1:11:55]
yes.
[1:11:59]
And we put those, let's table it and then we'll discuss that with those new representatives.
[1:12:06]
I do know we'll probably, we'll need to do the vice chair and the treasurer and then
[1:12:14]
Secretary if you want to stay in Korea or if you want to change that.
[1:12:21]
So we'll probably change around the vice chair secretary answers.
[1:12:35]
Then agenda, we have our January 5th motion and
[1:12:45]
it says 2025, but it actually is 2026 or maybe.
[1:12:50]
discussion
[1:13:16]
items, we talked about the data review.
[1:13:22]
We sent the background check policy and then we're going to approve the background check
[1:13:27]
and arrested for it.
[1:13:30]
They really have any questions for those policies as they were presented.
[1:13:35]
They were pretty sure.
[1:13:44]
People already said we're out of
[1:14:43]
it.
[1:14:44]
It's going to happen
[1:14:47]
long too.
[1:14:48]
Like if I were arrested.
[1:15:21]
The background should kind of rest reporting.
[1:15:26]
I, Valerie Halsey, motion to present the background
[1:15:30]
set, the
[1:15:35]
ground set, and the rest. Can I get a second?
[1:15:42]
Can all in favor, please say aye,
[1:15:57]
team, terms, and rules. Calendary, our next board meeting will be April 9th for a quick
[1:16:03]
15-minute Zoom, and then our next in-person meeting will be May 14th.
[1:16:18]
This is Coleman, and I will
[1:16:20]
me that back by May 1st, so please put that on your calendar.
[1:16:24]
I'm super late.
[1:16:25]
See you tomorrow night.
[1:16:26]
That'll be at 6 p.m.
[1:16:28]
Yeah.
[1:16:30]
Is that okay?
[1:17:08]
Yeah, I lost it.
