[11:23] visit. So that was this past Monday on August 10th. So that went uh quite well.

[11:28] We don't have too too much to kind of follow up on with that. So, it was nice

[11:33] the board was able to join us for the morning as well. Our new mix and load

[11:37] pad that was approved at the planning meeting earlier this year is uh all

[11:40] complete at the recck shop and in use and uh public works has helped us out on

[11:45] a couple projects over the past month. Um including installation of a

[11:48] ventilation system on our new rack control seat can and um helping out

[11:52] getting our boat drying unit uh put together and installed out at Clear

[11:56] Lake. So, that's officially operational as of this past Friday, so you'll expect

[12:00] to see a post about that on social media. Um, the bery program is being

[12:05] advertised. Um, the calendar contest just closed this past Saturday. So, lots

[12:09] of the programs are kind of starting to wrap up for the season. Um, Land View

[12:13] got us our canola rotation risk mapping information, so we'll be ready to start

[12:16] our club root inspections off of that. Uh the mowing program was completed on

[12:21] August 1st and everything's been going pretty smoothly um with our roadside

[12:25] spray program. Everything's been completed on rotation. So everyone's

[12:29] kind of working on the spot spraying and the touch-ups and inspections in the

[12:32] private land projects now.

[13:07] having a hard time with it. It was it was all over um just with the conditions

[13:11] in the ditches this year. Like they they haven't been that thick in a very long

[13:14] time. So there's a yeah I don't know if there's really much else that they could

[13:18] have done uh to correct it and they tried you know everything that they

[13:22] could try but it just the grass condition it was hard to avoid

[14:17] payers to go ahead and report that to us. Um, the the process is tricky for

[14:21] sure. Like I'm not entirely up on how it looks like in the back end with the

[14:25] ARCAM orders, but I don't know if it's very easy to get that reimbursement

[17:28] we've undergone phase one and phase two environmental site assessments and we're

[17:32] ready to go through the final phase, which is the demolition and uh

[17:36] reclamation of the site. Uh it was bid on last year and a contractor was

[17:40] selected by council in September. Um with the plans were to complete it last

[17:44] fall um with our kind of ongoing subdivision [clears throat] issues that

[17:48] did get extended into spring and unfortunately that was still ongoing. So

[17:52] we finally that's all been resolved. The site is free and clear for us to go

[17:56] ahead and do the work. Um but then of course our contract extension had

[17:59] expired by then. Um so our contractor is uh that was initially selected by

[18:04] council last September is uh available to complete the work and they have

[18:08] requested some additional funds to fulfill that contract.

[18:14] » Okay. >> So they essentially want double the

[18:18] amount to do the same work. >> Uh they are still with this additional

[18:22] funds they're still $5,000 lower than the next lowest bid that was bid last

[18:27] year. So, I don't think we're going to find a better price. Like, there's still

[18:31] they're still lower than the next lowest. And with the cost of fuel, how

[18:34] it's gone up, I don't think [clears throat] that we'll be seeing uh

[18:38] anything less than that. >> So, did they give any reasoning to the

[18:44] price increase? Because it's not, you know, 12% or

[18:47] » Well, they would have seen the results last year. They had like pretty

[18:50] significantly under bid the project compared to what everyone else had bid

[18:54] it. So this puts them a little bit more in alignment with what the next kind of

[18:59] folks bid on it, but it is still less. >> So would they have had to move the

[19:03] equipment in twice now? >> No, they didn't have to they haven't

[19:07] mobilized anything up yet. Um because we were still waiting for that access to

[19:11] the site.

[19:14] » So I guess I would ask is there a time crunch to get this done if we decide to

[19:18] rebid this? it would be nice to get it done. Um, from the time that the phase 2

[19:24] is complete, that was last year, we have three years to complete the work because

[19:30] it's now an environmental liability essentially because it's known um on our

[19:35] financial statements. So, eliminating this project would then take that off

[19:39] our books, but it could still be done next year technically.

[19:48] that that much higher. We're not going to get any cheaper.

[21:10] it's the back fill and um adding the top soil back on and then we would be doing

[21:14] the seating after the fact.

[21:27] materials need to be separated that needs hauled out to the dump.

[24:40] Edmonton uh that's in the shop. Just got into the shop today. So last week it was

[24:49] Yesterday. Uh so they're looking at something in the back engine there. That

[24:53] was number two. So that's uh believe that's one of our most recent purchases.

[24:58] Uh we had one with a joystick that went down. Another one with a I think it was

[25:02] a emission sensor or something. So I do believe we have both fitting mechanics

[25:07] out there today to uh get these other two machines running. and our 160 uh

[25:14] leak on the cylinder again. Something going on in the 160. Yeah, I

[25:19] can't remember exactly the details on it. So, and our Kamasu dozer, we had a

[25:24] an issue with it as well. So, we this last five days, seven days with

[25:28] equipment has been quite interesting. Kind of all piled up at the same time.

[25:32] So, hopefully we get through this uh a little bit of a delay here and back into

[25:37] her and going hard again. So, as well as we also had uh Sandstar return and do

[25:43] some warranty work on uh Range Rover 42. Uh we're yet to do an inspection on

[25:49] that. We have a few things in house to do before we call them in and uh return

[25:55] and visit with them on site. I think from what I've seen so far, uh

[26:01] they've stepped it up and it looks pretty good. Um, but we still have to

[26:06] watch some of the uh water drainage issues that we were talked about

[26:10] earlier. So, we'll look at that as well. Take that in consideration.

[28:54] see what uh what numbers kind of got produced with that. Uh Arm Lake had a

[28:58] pump go down uh about a week ago. I was went out there, met up with uh

[29:03] electrician. We swapped out a pump that I had uh in the box of my truck,

[29:07] reconfigured the control box there. Now it seems like the pump is running on a a

[29:11] better, steadier pace. So no issues, no hiccups with that. uh as of yet. Um

[29:18] yeah, and then just an update for for council here for our construction of the

[29:22] new cook shacks and chain shacks are scheduled to begin at the uh end of this

[29:25] month. And then we have the siding for Riverdale clubhouse looking toward the

[29:30] end of September and that's when they're going to start just to kind of get get

[29:33] away from all the commotion and and all the action that's out there. They kind

[29:36] of want to do it when it's a little little quieter, right? So um

[29:40] understandable. Uh this time next year we'll have we'll have a brand new

[29:44] clubhouse out there with new siding. So >> middle of it

[30:30] installed with the uh correct uh setting uh which is setting one with what we

[30:34] have. So um everything seems to be kicked in. We're not getting any

[30:38] overheating or anything like that. So, uh, we're we're monitoring that and if

[30:43] any issues arise, they'll they'll contact me and myself and the

[30:47] electrician will go out there again and try to try to make sense of it again.

[32:28] Preston on the Fabian water problem. >> That happened after I submitted my

[32:33] report, so it wasn't included. So, yeah. >> So, last Thursday approximately 8:30

[32:38] a.m. um, one of the actually both VIPs dumped in Fabian, uh, which then shut

[32:45] the water system off. Um this occurred while we were filling uh the the

[32:53] maintenance truck that was flushing the sewer systems. So uh obviously a little

[32:58] bit different dynamic when when you put a demand on the system at least enough

[33:03] to to engage the second pump. And uh we had done it the day before had no

[33:09] issues. Monday morning or excuse me, Thursday morning we go out there. Uh

[33:14] same scenario and for some reason it faulted both VFDs. So I mean we also

[33:22] called Battle River Electric in at the same time because we couldn't get the

[33:25] VFDs to restart. Uh we did unplug the the PLC system, the ProLogic controller.

[33:32] Uh plugged it back in which then restarted the VFDs and the system went

[33:37] back online. Electrician came out. Uh basically the the fault on there is a

[33:43] parameter that the VFD picks up on and then of course it uh it basically shuts

[33:48] down in uh in I guess like a like a a saving mode so it doesn't uh I guess do

[33:56] something to your pump or something to the BFD. So, I would assume that because

[34:01] of the technology, uh, just things talking back and forth, maybe, you know,

[34:06] with the PLC being a little bit older and the VFD being brand new, there's

[34:10] some, uh, some issues with that communication. I'm not 100% sure. We

[34:14] don't really know for sure, but he was able to uh, prevent that from happening

[34:19] again by uh, doing something inside the VFD and programming it. Uh, we did the

[34:23] [clears throat] same thing at our other system because they're exactly the same.

[34:26] But why it happened, we really honestly don't know.

[34:31] So, um, got the system up and running by 9:25.

[34:37] Um, we did actually put a notice on the MD website at 9:00 for the boil water

[34:41] advisory. Approximately at 10:30, we had door knockers out for the boil water

[34:46] advisory. We flushed the system from both uh flush hydrants, checked chlorine

[34:52] residuals, then turned around and then we grabbed bacterial samples and then we

[34:56] took those to dropped them off. And then the next day we got the information from

[35:01] Alberta Health Services that uh everything was good. And then we lifted

[35:04] the boil water order after that. Excuse me. Boil water advisory not.

[35:09] » So those those door knockers I'm assuming you just grabbed some summer

[35:13] students and bang on doors. Do we >> luckily enough they happen to be there

[35:16] at the time. So yeah, I was able to do that. Otherwise,

[35:19] » that doesn't work. >> Do we leave any literature there on the

[35:24] on the door or anything like that or nobody answers, what do we do?

[35:47] the same issues. I mean, there's no way Calgary can have a boil water order on

[35:50] and knock on every door and hand out to everybody as well. I mean, I know we're

[35:54] not the same size, but I mean, obviously, they have people that fall

[35:58] through the cracks. We'll have people that fall through the cracks.

[36:03] I don't know what to say. We could as part of our uh utility program, maybe we

[36:09] could take uh information on that side and then we can have a fan out email

[36:14] that'll help cover some of the cracks, but I doubt we'll ever be able to get

[50:06] this picture, but um we're just trying to create a safe and accessible

[50:12] community trail that is going to connect throughout our town and um encourage

[50:17] some healthy living and connect our neighborhoods a little bit, support some

[50:22] more recreation because right now a lot of it happens on some sidewalks in our

[50:26] village, but a lot of it happens on the roads

[50:30] and maybe help some tourism with

[50:35] celebrate some of that history that we have.

[50:40] So, uh we have our mission here and we are going to work with the village of

[50:45] Burma. We're hoping to work with you guys as well and uh volunteers hopefully

[50:50] not just the five of us but um some other volunteers pretty much show up in

[50:56] Irma once they see some of the product that's produced. We're going to trying

[51:01] to get some funding either from some local businesses or just fundraising

[51:06] ourselves and um then of course once the trail is made it but then we also need

[51:12] to maintain it and support it afterwards so we're as

[51:20] we have a phase one which is approximately 1 I'll show you after of

[51:25] what that would look like we're hoping in one year to have one put down we do

[51:30] have very uh longterm phase of a total of six meters. That might be a little

[51:37] bit ambitious for us, but um we're going to look at taking four years. We're

[51:41] going to see how the fundraising

[51:46] um on the next slide we have some goals. These aren't in any particular order,

[51:51] but we want to complete the planning. We have not started the planning of it

[51:56] other than where we would like to put it. And then we have spoken with company

[52:01] that we would um the biggest part is the funding. So

[52:06] we got to secure our funding and then we would construct it. We're looking at a

[52:10] six foot wide trail and then starting with that first kilometer then

[52:16] later four is completing the other sections. We haven't decided an order

[52:21] for that. We know which first kilometer we want but we don't know after that.

[52:25] And then goal five is to get some community involvement. And we're hoping

[52:30] once we put that first down

[52:35] benefits them and

[52:39] there

[52:43] is asking the village to help us. The trail is going to be six feet wide.

[52:50] It needs like it's clay base or the existing base dug down. Then on top of

[52:56] that either crushed gravel or crushed cementing used for that and the biggest

[53:02] cost is the ashalt on top side but there would just be the ashalt

[53:07] surface with drainage on each side. We were quoted approximately anywhere

[53:12] between $15 to $142 per square meter. That doesn't sound too bad.

[53:22] thing. And this one's a little bit smaller. This next slide will be a

[53:25] little bit smaller um for you to see and maybe you can look at it yourself later.

[53:32] But we have the colorful parts or the places we have talked about maybe

[53:36] putting down the after the first section. Um you can see the word school

[53:42] there and golf course has a yellow line. If you want to go to the next slide to

[53:47] see this is where we want to start. So from the school that bright yellow

[53:52] highlighted line over to the golf course or possibly a little bit further to the

[53:58] greener. Um the approximate cost could range

[54:02] anywhere from $189,000 to $256,000 for that one.

[54:08] And the reason for that is our first choice is there right now is there

[54:13] aren't any sidewalks coming from our school. And so if you go to the next

[54:17] slide, this is the view parking lot from the school. The curb on the right hand

[54:23] side is coming out of a staff parking lot where a lot of students walk and

[54:28] they walk going towards the east on the road. And at the other end of that road

[54:35] is the golf course. And we have a lot of students on Monday nights go to probably

[54:40] 30 to 40 students walk along that road to go golfing, carrying their golf

[54:44] clubs. And um there's a little bit of a hill you can The second picture maybe

[54:49] shows that a little bit more and they just walk straight across the road. We

[54:53] thought that would be a good starting place for safety reasons and there's

[54:57] also a lot of students daily that walk along that road to

[55:01] so that's where our starting place is and if I could just point we would be

[55:06] starting in front of this is our museum starting in front of this.

[55:16] So that's where we're hoping to start and go to the first our first call.

[55:22] So why are we here? Our asks are um we just I guess we want permission to

[55:28] proceed because some of this is on MD land. Uh cooperating with you would be

[55:34] great as well, but also cooperation from the people who own land in the MD who

[55:41] want permission to go and speak with them or if there's a different that

[55:45] needs to take place. So ask them to please

[55:49] some of it might be on their some of it might be in front of their and then um

[55:56] any involvement that you can give us would be great. I know that there is

[56:00] apparently a pile of um concrete and perma that can be crushed up and we

[56:06] might be able to use that. Not that it's owned by the MD, but something similar

[56:10] to that could be something we could look at if we had any way to help us with

[56:14] that. So, that would be the last thing. Supplies and tools.

[56:19] Right now, we're not able to ask for money, but we're not saying we're not.

[1:51:50] seemed um yeah, super intimidated by the measures that are required. So
