[22:21] » Project in progress right now that I came from and can give you a little

[22:26] update on. Um our county crew is working on a gravel road stabilization project.

[22:34] The dust spots product. the dust pods repers on site who helped to

[22:42] coach us through the process. Um they started at 6:00 a.m. They mix the

[22:48] product with water and a tanker and spray it on the road from several

[22:52] different passes and kind of mix it back and forth with the scarifier and

[22:56] maintainers. Two maintainers out there right now. Um they're working on the

[23:01] first mile which is 150th Avenue Highway 9 going south.

[23:07] » So you have it kind of closed off just for local traffic.

[23:10] » I wouldn't say that. It's uh right now the window when I left there was maybe

[23:15] two foot tall, but on both sides of it was easily drivable. So

[23:20] » not much different than a regular road. >> Just a little bit bigger window as all.

[23:24] Um but otherwise pretty well the same. And of course we got trucks of plates

[23:29] and the water truck and two maintainers. So there's a little more equipment out

[23:32] there. I would I think by, you know, 11:00 they'd be

[23:39] getting the grade fine tuned and rolling it and and looking to hopefully move on

[23:45] to the second mile south from there. Yep. today.

[23:50] Um I'm not sure if he's got the water truck

[23:54] running for a day or not sure that's one of the factors

[23:59] trying to get done today in the forecast of course too. We're not really you're

[24:03] looking for a good moisture in the road but not raining.

[24:11] other day. They put a little extra water on it yesterday and then all the water

[24:16] that comes with the solution of material they put on there.

[24:21] So this road when we're when it's finally rolled and cured after a day and

[24:27] a half, two days, it'll be like a hard surface to go away.

[24:35] It should have very minimal dust. It won't require any blading through the

[24:40] summer unless we have some flower pockets that show up.

[24:46] So, our intent is to be entirely hands off with this road also,

[24:53] right? See how it weathers through the winter and

[24:56] have minimal bleeding going forward for the next few years? That's the intent of

[25:00] the project.

[25:04] » So, was there anybody that needed to be notified on that? those roads ahead of

[25:10] time or I'm wondering about the north side into Bryce Lake. Will people need

[25:15] to be notified when you do that one? >> I mean, we

[25:21] didn't on this stretch and we've had plenty of traffic working around.

[25:58] limiting factors is we have to make >> maybe maybe a couple golden passes and

[26:05] uh first with the scarifier and then with the maintainers to wind rope the

[26:08] material and then mix it then lay it back down then roll it. So it's just

[26:13] several passes. That's maybe the part that takes time in

[26:19] addition to filling up the truck with water which he said doesn't need to be a

[26:23] municipal or well source or trying to figure out ways to get faster

[26:28] wire. They got extra tank out there. They're pumping film to try and speed up

[26:33] the truck filling process. Guess we're looking at all options for

[26:39] the other ones. Fire hydrant or some other way to get fast water that's not

[26:44] going to cost. >> How much how many gallons per day you

[26:48] figure? >> Well, I thought it was 12,000 a mile.

[26:53] 12,000 gallons. And he said, "Well, Depends on the type of day. It depends

[26:58] on the moisture and the material. And I think they'll end up more than that out

[27:01] there somewhere between 1500 I think.

[27:08] So we just, you know, we got a 4,000 gallon truck to few times to refill it.

[27:17] Imagine all the farmers are probably using their their water tanks right now

[27:22] for you know when we were farming we had big water tanks that we could come in

[27:27] can load fast get out of it. >> Yeah. They have one that they borrow for

[27:32] that purpose today. So it's going it's going fine. You know

[27:39] while we're doing our first trial it's nice not that things working too fast.

[27:43] It's humid and not drying out super fast. You know,

[27:48] dry day where it's windy might be a problem to keep ahead of the moisture.

[27:55] I know I don't know what the cost is, but I know they have trucks

[28:22] So a couple other things looking forward. We have

[28:26] microsurfacing on A38 from Leland to the church for

[28:33] next week possibly. We also possibly may have brothers are

[28:39] their subcontractors here to start on Rice Lake

[28:44] 235th out there. I'll have a little bit of milling work to do and then they'll

[28:49] have a reclaiming operation followed by kind of a maintainer and

[28:55] fine-tune the grade and rolling process and then following they're planning to

[29:02] repave the parking lot at Rice Lake at the same time. So there might be some

[29:05] overlap back and forth there.

[29:11] should just take a week or so to kind of do all that if it all lines up

[29:17] perfectly. >> So, how will the edges be? How did you

[29:21] end up with how wide a they call that edge on the road?

[29:26] » Shoulder. >> The shoulder. How wide?

[29:28] » Um, probably like a foot.

[29:32] » So, yeah. >> I mean, at some spots it's a lot wider

[29:35] and some spots it's not.

[29:40] » And we can't do anything about that unless we hold in a large amount of

[29:43] dirt, which >> there's potential that that could

[29:48] happen, but we're most likely just going to put

[29:54] enough material there to get foot next to it so the edge of the pavement is not

[29:58] there. >> The restriction there is when you start

[30:02] hauling in dirt for more shoulder, then you're limiting how wide the ditch is.

[30:07] Yeah, the ditches through there are not working the best anyway. So, there's

[30:13] pile on the golf course side that's I think does sufficient job. The field

[30:18] side is need some work if it were to work like a

[30:22] normal ditch, but I see that it's negatively affecting the farm either.

[33:08] that's that's pretty full for our own guys. So, they'll be bringing in their

[33:13] excavators and dozers and doing all the digging and they'll call for loads of

[33:18] rock just like our guys do and our guys will haul it and

[33:22] we'll kind of work together on it like that. I think it'll work pretty good.

[33:34] month to six weeks. We wanted it pretty tight on that sound.

[56:24] per day for the salary people. So, I need to look into how that'll

[56:47] we do it right now she's saying that the salaried people get paid ahead and
