[2:57] work on an inhouse more efficient that efficienty also translates to you all it

[3:03] saves time it saves money not to mention you also AR think two attorneys talk to

[3:08] each our when we work on a project we don't bu unless it's extremely unique

[3:14] situation almost never we have the ability to provide you

[3:18] an outstanding prosecutor John Kumer of our office has been Prosecuting for

[3:22] years he has glowing recommendations for every judge and every police officer

[3:27] he's ever working with so I'm not concerned about providing you good

[3:30] quality prosecution of Health Services Jennifer and predecessors have

[3:35] served eligible R my understanding for since the 1950s and they've done that

[3:40] with prosecutions and uh General Services together it seems inefficient

[3:46] and nonsensical to support them now at least in my opinion I realize this isn't

[3:52] a time for Q&A but I wanted to share my thoughts with you and I will remain here

[3:56] for meeting till that agenda items pass and should you have want to ask any

[6:39] MML and include that paper that I sent to everyone on Council I'm sorry Erin

[6:51] the excesses have been over the last oh God 14 years now

[6:59] and ask the MML if they consider it excessive

[7:04] they're the guys that you go to when you sue somebody they're the guys that you

[7:08] go to for legal advice outside of your attorney ask the

[7:16] MML because I truly believe they will not give you the answer that the auditor

[7:33] acquaintance they asked if the village is aware of

[7:38] gasb 54 which I had never heard of

[7:45] before yeah gby is all the governmental accounting regulations that were held to

[7:51] and we're we are up to date on all that and and Raina is um she is really she's

[7:58] the one who likes is our auditor of all of our gasby items we have we have many

[8:04] of them that's just one of them so the village has a fund balance policy right

[8:11] now um I I know this isn't question and answer and I apologize yeah I'm sure we

[8:17] do I'm I'm sure we have a fund balance policy on I have never seen a fund

[8:23] balance policy and a fund balance policy actually breaks it down apparently I I

[8:29] just found about about this two nights ago but it breaks down your fund balance

[8:35] into five or six different categories rather than one or two rather

[8:43] than I can't even remember the words now but uh right now we've got like one

[8:49] that's restricted and one that's not there's a general and a restricted fund

[10:29] Renwick because he did point out something that I have been dealing with

[10:35] um in my travels around the village when I find some problems I immediately take

[10:39] action as quickly as I can I have uh a picture here and I showed the council

[10:45] people here a picture of the intersection that uh Mr Renwick was

[10:49] concerned about and my uh immediate response was to contact the contractor

[10:55] responsible for that because in the village we hold the contractor

[10:58] responsible for U all the paving up to a year in advance or up to a year

[11:03] afterwards and um this is a quality contractor so Mr Harold sarder said I've

[11:09] got it uh that will be fixed to no charge this spring so I wanted Council

[11:14] to know that uh uh that will be taken care of this

[11:18] spring and as I've represented the council before U All the Monies that are

[11:24] being held from our major Paving program last uh year uh I will be reviewing all

[11:30] of the roads and calling to attention a parts that need to be repaired by that

[11:35] contractor as well and those be taken care of this spring as well so uh wanted

[11:40] to assure the council that we're on top of that um the the only other item uh

[11:45] because it's a a slow winter um is that um I wanted to bring you up to date on

[11:51] the Clara Miller Park cycling challenge area um this last Monday um I called Mr

[11:59] Mark Russo who had said that he was going to maintain his equipment and do

[12:06] that this spring when I called him on Monday he said Mike I forgot to call you

[12:12] uh he was he was given an offer on his equipment and he sold it all so uh he

[12:18] told me that he is not available this spring to do that um not wanting to be

[12:25] dependent on just one person however this is a list of all the contractor

[12:29] we've sent that uh request to it's 19 contractors one of which uh we received

[12:36] a uh a price back already five of which have called me with

[12:42] questions um some of them uh it's too small a project for them um but I have

[12:49] um the the one quote let me back up just a little bit Mark Russo had estimated

[12:53] that project that somewhere between $8 and $10,000 to do uh Superior I got to

[12:59] be a little bit careful here

[13:03] their quote was in that ballpark so he had quoted it properly and so um I

[13:10] wanted to U make sure that Council knew that um we're looking to have uh more

[13:16] quotes for you none of them wanted to do it in the winter time so they were all

[13:20] looking to get out there in Spring move equipment there uh before frost laws are

[13:24] off but um I'm hoping to end up with four or five more uh quotes um but

[13:30] that's the latest and greatest what's going on in the village so unless you

[14:05] recommendations ccil we have uh three recommendations tonight for you to

[14:10] consider from the administrative committee the committee is its form now

[14:15] it's uh president protm Duff council member Newman and uh council member

[14:21] O'Brien um the first recommendation that comes forward um I guess indirectly so

[14:27] to speak has to do with the citizen of the Year award as I've explained in my

[14:32] memo dated February 7th um when the committee reviewed the

[14:39] nominations that had been received for citizen of the Year there was a question

[14:44] in the committee's mind as to whether or not the one nominee Fred meiser who is a

[14:49] member of the memorial committee was actually eligible to be named as the

[14:55] citizen of the year because of the fact that he is on the Memorial committee so

[15:01] um based upon that issue at that time uh there was um basically a recommendation

[15:08] for Mr Meisner not to be named citizen of the year not because of anything he

[15:13] did or didn't do but other than the fact that um he is a member of the uh the

[15:17] Veterans Memorial committee U Mr Duff I don't know if you have anything you want

[15:22] to add to that we just again of felt like um the citizen of the Year

[15:26] shouldn't necessarily be um named for either being a chairperson of a board or

[15:33] being because they're on a board it should be something that they're

[15:36] actually doing to help the community as a whole so it's kind of the

[15:42] way we thought it so and then um subsequent to that I had

[15:49] a chance to to do a little bit of homework so to speak and um there is

[15:54] some precedent for a member of a border committee um to be named as the citizen

[16:00] of the year um as I indicated in in the memo I put together for you um Lyn Lewis

[16:06] who was the chair of the uh Parks and Recreation board back in

[16:11] 2015 was named as the citizen of the year um in addition Ron Krueger who was

[16:16] named in 2011 um was at the time a member of the

[16:20] Veterans Memorial committee um Ron Krueger's name came up in the course of

[16:26] the conversation that we had at the admin administrative committee meeting

[16:30] that night but none of us was certain whether Ron had actually been on the

[16:34] board or was just Consulting with the board at that point in time so but as it

[16:39] turns out based upon my review of the records um he was in fact on the

[16:45] Veterans Memorial committee at the time that he was named citizen of the year so

[16:50] there is a proposed resolution contained in the memo if um that's the council's

[16:56] wish otherwise the uh the recommendation or the non-

[17:01] reccommendation uh from the um administrative committee based upon

[17:05] their understanding um would

[18:03] we're not uh talking about getting a new Village attorney per se salowski and the

[18:08] firm that she's um associated with right now of council to right now um would

[18:14] continue to be the village attorney what we're talking about now is whether or

[18:18] not um or which law firm uh would in fact serve as the village prosecuting

[18:25] attorney um The Firm that had previously served as a village prosecuting attorney

[18:30] as such does not exist anymore and is not eligible to continue with those

[18:35] Services um I had sent out requests for proposals to a number of area law firms

[18:41] and the two that we received was were from first the Atkinson need firm but uh

[18:47] Mr rrop is here on behalf of tonight again with whom um galowski is currently

[18:54] of councel and the other is the law firm of Rosati Schultz Chic at amps buler

[19:00] which is located in Farmington Hills um both are very good firms uh both would

[19:05] be capable of doing the work um the prior administrative committee um which

[19:11] was uh then president nedro uh president protm Duff and councilman orrian looked

[19:19] at the issue back in uh November and their recommendation at that time was

[19:25] that the Rosati firm be awarded the contract given that the uh the committee

[19:31] reformed so to speak um with the seating of the new

[19:35] Council again now it's uh Duff um Newman in O'Brien we took the issue back to the

[19:42] administrative committee last month and the committee again comes back with the

[19:47] same recommendation to award the contract to uh the Rosati Law Firm so Mr

[19:53] Duff I know if you anything you want to add to that um if Council has any

[19:57] questions um um I was part of the of the

[20:00] administrative committee meetings Chief sovic was also part of the

[20:03] administrative committee meetings if you have any questions You' be able to try

[20:07] to answer

[20:15] those Chief could you elaborate a little bit on your experience with the uh Law

[20:20] Firm yes with the uh the secondary uh secondary Law Firm um the prosecutor

[20:27] Chuck Snell uh worked with him for many years at the city of South Lion for 30

[20:32] years um he's fairly he's very very competent represents not only just more

[20:37] than just our agencies but other police departments um very responsive um very

[20:42] personable he's established great relationships with the judges here at

[20:45] 521 as well as other um district courts um defense attorneys um he works very

[20:52] well with the court Second District Court um comes highly recommended by

[20:56] Alex Black the court administrator over there and um I just feel we should

[21:00] probably just continue to move forward with him um several trials at the uh at

[21:05] the felony circuit court level very successful has a great reputation and

[21:12] for many years when I was a South Line he was the city's attorney so no issues

[21:16] no problems very responsive and need something that gets back with you right

[21:20] away thank you make a motion that we approve a resolution to adopt radi as

[21:26] the prosecuting attorney service for the

[21:33] second motion by second by Newman um s aoll

[21:59] the third recommendation from the administrative committee has to do with

[22:03] um compensation for the villages to administrative assistance um as I

[22:08] indicated in the memo that I prepared for you um last

[22:13] year um during the course of contract negotiations with The Village's two

[22:18] bargaining units um we were able to reach agreements the negotiating

[22:22] committee at that time had recommended that the nonunion employees receive the

[22:27] same w increases that the members of the two bargaining units were going to

[22:33] receive for the 2526 uh fiscal year um in doing so

[22:39] though the negotiating committee recognized that the um the amount of

[22:45] compensation the wages that were being paid to the two administrative

[22:50] assistants really were um were deficient that they were out of whack in terms of

[22:55] um what comparable employees and other communities were making um not

[23:02] consistent with uh uh the number of years of experience that both of them

[23:06] had with the village in the scope of their responsibilities here at Village

[23:11] on a day-to-day basis having said that the in recommending that the

[23:16] administrative assistants receive the same amount of

[23:19] compensation um as of July of last year uh the committee also recommended at

[23:25] that time that we take another look at the two employees compensation at the

[23:29] end of the fiscal year so um that's what we did um I went and looked at the

[23:35] updated the 24 25 wage and salary survey survey that's been prepared by the

[23:41] Michigan Municipal League which it is a um a voluntary survey um communities

[23:48] that are members of The League don't have to provide the data but the

[23:52] trade-off is if you want to have access to the data you have to provide it to

[23:56] them so um my position is that we've always participated I've always provided

[24:01] the data because I think the data that I have received in return from the MML has

[24:06] been very important in terms of our negotiations and the way that we've

[24:11] treated our employees so I went back over the wage and salary survey U put

[24:17] together some information about what other employees and other communities

[24:22] have comparable titles and comparable responsibilities um are currently being

[24:27] paid um um I had emailed that in response to everybody in response to a

[24:32] request I received from Mr jini earlier in the week in addition there's a hard

[24:37] copy of the information that I put together um at the table for everyone

[24:43] tonight um the reason I listed a number of different positions there is

[24:49] because what one person with one title in one community may do in another

[24:54] Community is could be very same or very different what someone in another

[24:59] Community with the very same job title does so um I I covered a VAR of a

[25:05] variety of of positions the one thing that struck me

[25:09] going through there is that um for the most part I mean with with maybe one or

[25:13] two outliers um our administrative assistants are among the lowest paid of

[25:19] all the um the employees that are listed so the discussion we had at the

[25:24] administrative committee led to a resolution that the two administratives

[25:28] received receive a 3% wage increase um for this year going forward

[25:33] that is retroactive to January 1st of 2025 then in addition um when the other

[25:41] contracts come up for um for review in uh the middle of the year then I would

[25:46] expect that we'll take another look at their compensation going forward at that

[25:50] point in time as well so but at this point in time the recommendation from

[25:54] the admin committee is that the administrative assistant get a three %

[25:58] wage increase retroactive to January 1 make a motion that we approve the

[26:03] resolution put forth to um change the administrative committee or

[26:08] administrative assistance to receive an additional 3% retroactive to January 1

[26:13] 2025 second by by Newman I have a comment

[26:19] before we vote um if if I understand your chart Dave and I thank you Mark for

[26:25] asking for this and Dave for supplying it they still are the lowest PID and I

[26:31] don't think it's enough I think it needs to be more than what you're proposing

[26:37] more than 3% and I'm not a

[26:42] mathematician but just rounded it off I would say you know 24 not 23 16 but

[26:50] 24 and then relook at again in the summer

[27:00] I mean my goodness I would agree with Pam and also say I just have a question

[27:04] when was the last time that they had that pay increase is that an annual

[27:08] thing is it it's dur During the period of time

[27:13] that I've been here so for the last four years um um the administrative

[27:18] assistance have received an increase every July the same as the the members

[27:22] of the bargaining units in so um and again they received the 5% in increase

[27:29] last July that all the members of The Bargain unit did they'll receive a 4%

[27:33] increase in the upcoming July same as the other members of the bargaining

[27:37] units are what we're talking about now is something potentially above and

[27:41] beyond with the members of the bargaining units this would be the first

[27:45] time that we've addressed their compensation outside of the

[27:49] normal uh contract cycle if you will so they did have an increase in July yeah

[27:56] so this is a second one that we talked about it that time because we

[28:01] recognize that and so so that' be a total of

[28:05] 7% this year or a total last year plus July so since

[28:13] July but it's still if if your numbers are right here you know with that mix on

[28:18] a yearly basis they are still quite a bit underpaid and I still think it's not

[28:22] well that's partially because when you're starting from a lower base any

[28:26] kind of a percentage increase is just not going to be as significant as a

[28:29] fixed number that would better reflect appropriate compensation so when you're

[28:35] raising 7% off of say 20 as opposed to 7% off of 30 the 30 is going to be look

[28:41] much larger because that 7% of 30 is uh 2121 but so it's it's going to be higher

[28:50] or $2 and so it would be a significant increase in that sense so since we are

[28:54] starting at a lower number and since they were as we're seeing

[28:58] undercompensated relative to other municipalities based on this data at

[29:03] least it doesn't matter what percentage we necessarily do because it's still

[29:07] going to lag as opposed to doing it in a more as a whole number true but you also

[29:13] have to understand that anything that we do the other the other um collective

[29:18] bargaining units are going to also be able to take and ask

[29:23] for a whole

[29:29] but they're also unionized entity carrying a pension and other things as

[29:33] well other significant benefits no argument

[29:36] there so in July they'll be do front of four right correct so there's five and

[29:42] then another four plus is three in the year's time so that's why um we had this

[29:49] one because we recognized at that trying to bring that was and so that's why it

[29:55] was you know so you're saying 3% now now 4% in July additional 4% in

[30:02] July well that's why this came up because we did

[30:05] recognize where it was at wanted to uh see if we could write

[30:11] it

[30:14] correctly well and if it appears that uh um the administrative assistants are

[30:19] still undercompensated then we could take

[30:22] another look at it um at the end of the year basically as we're doing right now

[30:27] I mean again they'll have an increase in July assuming that Council gives them

[30:31] the same things that all the bargaining unit employees get which I would expect

[30:36] Council will because that's what we've traditionally done but then if

[30:40] compensation is still an issue then we could look at it again in a year's time

[30:44] as well but whatever I mean if Council

[30:49] wants to move forward with more than 3% I'm certainly not going to object I'm

[30:54] not going to argue against it I mean if you want to set it as a flat rate you

[30:57] can do it I mean um I see the work that the that the two employees do every day

[31:02] and um and I think I've said this before um they make my job a thousand times

[31:09] easier um they make me look good based upon the um the calls that they field

[31:15] and the information that they provide to people at the counter um and if if one

[31:21] or both of them are away from their desk and someone comes up to the counter I

[31:26] normally will get up and greet them just they don't feel like they're being

[31:29] ignored but I have no idea to take care of what people need most of the time I

[31:34] mean if it wasn't for page and Tabitha to be perfectly honest The Village

[31:39] operations would come to a screeching H well so I'm not going to argue if you

[31:43] want to give them more if we if in June we have the 4%

[31:49] increase the top compensation there will be over

[31:51] 24 yes just will be over 25 at that point yes

[32:25] municipalities the things that tab and page to like if you walk through White

[32:31] Lake Township for instance you pass a building department that's got three

[32:36] people in it you pass a Treasurer's Department that's got two clerks not

[32:41] including the treasurer or the deputy they've got two clerks in there you walk

[32:45] to the assessing you walk over to the there's another office for zoning and

[32:50] planning they can do every one of those jobs they could go over the township and

[32:54] they could fit in any one of those jobs because they are skilled in all all

[32:58] those areas so it sounds to me that all more reason that this isn't enough

[33:07] yeah I mean I don't want to vote no and have them not get a race I don't want to

[33:12] do that but I definitely think they deserve more than what you're suggesting

[33:17] or what the what the um proposed is the

[33:24] propos order to call for the vote discussion can't do anything in terms of

[35:14] um roughly about 7 70 cents on the highest one um I see an issue going to a

[35:21] a flat dollar rate when you have people making different amounts I'm good with

[35:25] the percentage bill just that I I'm I I don't know what that

[35:30] percentage number would be more your B I'm just looking at it well to get the

[35:34] lowest person with a $2 disparity to get the lowest person to 24 you're going to

[35:39] have to get the highest person to right consider you know higher so you kind of

[35:44] have to decide that's why I thought we were in a good spot because they were

[35:47] going to be you know you know relatively good but um so

[35:55] I mean I'm I'm open to suggestions I don't know what what what it is that

[35:59] we're trying to

[36:03] accomplish I inste of

[36:11] three PM just as a point of reference if you took the the higher wage listed and

[36:17] you gave it a 6 and

[36:21] 23% wage increase um that would put it up at

[36:26] 2397 that would must be 24 that's before the 4% right okay that's that's as it

[36:32] stands right now that's correct okay that's correct yeah that would take the

[36:35] current wage up to just under $24 an hour what 6 point what to a

[36:45] 6.6% okay wage increase all right so I'll make a

[37:05] second have a that lebor for was second for an increase of Which percentage 6.6

[37:51] and when they don't I feel like with a council of seven having three people

[37:56] then providing information to four it really should only be at times when

[38:05] in for more detail more research more due due diligence as opposed to like

[38:11] what we just saw today where and two of these three we had in the citizen of the

[38:16] year you had we had a slightly disputed issue where if it had been brought

[38:21] before Council in general I could have told you that previous winners had been

[38:25] on boards in fact Monique mgee was also on the historical committee the year for

[38:28] the year that she woned and then in this case with the admin committee or with

[38:33] the administrative assistant compensation we saw that there was a

[38:36] great deal more to discuss and instead we're operating without as

[38:41] much information as a the four of us that were not on that committee because

[38:45] we weren't there for all those discussions and so I think look going

[38:48] forward it would make more sense that rather than just having issues by

[38:52] default go to the administrative committee Council makes that

[38:55] determination as a whole that yeah we do need more

[38:58] uh time looked into it we need need more information from somebody to put a

[40:06] specifically we could have discussion about what the council envisions the

[40:10] role of the administrative committee to be

[40:13] and um how matters end up before the administrative committee I think what

[40:18] Mark is talking about is different and has been done in the past but that

[40:22] doesn't mean to say that it can't be done that

[40:30] how is that the work session it's on February 26th yes correct

[43:05] sell them at a loss uh U because they were 529 so you know

[43:10] they've gone up 50 cents just round it up you know per candle for this year so

[43:19] I still think that in my opinion the 10 cases is is a good number um it was the

[43:25] lowest amount of candles the Torches we had left over that we have in several

[43:29] years but now uh my biggest concern is or

[43:35] Direction I Would I'd like some direction from everybody else is what

[43:39] should we sell them at it's I don't want to get down to Nicholson pennies in fact

[43:45] we're not going to have pennies anymore as I heard last night on TV so um and

[43:50] make it easy from a seller standpoint of view uh rounding enough and at least

[43:55] into a quarter you know so if uh we purchase them for

[44:01] $579 uh we can sell them for 5 and A4 550 or 575 and even at that you know

[44:07] every Everything is a loss um but at 575 it's only 4 Cent loss

[44:19] looked at other candles in fact we did look at Menards last year I almost went

[44:23] there but those candles were thinner they weren't as as heavy uh and there

[44:29] wasn't as much wax there so they would have burned out even a lot

[44:39] I I couldn't just buy them from one location like I came from English

[44:43] Gardens and then you know had to be delivered here so you one delivery here

[45:00] groups of two then 550 if it's in groups of four like if everybody buys four

[45:24] people will buy in groups of four 4812 without people doing six and 10 so you

[52:54] fresh start and I think that they deserve this and something they and let

[52:56] it you know take pride in cuz it if you ever been in the locker room it's kind

[53:05] showers doesn't even work and there's there's not even any fresh uh any fresh

[55:14] memo the uh percentage increase over the premium for our expiring coverage was

[55:21] 13.27% we had hoped it would be less um but um it could be more than it is um as

[55:30] I indicated in the memo um Herman kingle offer our benefits rep explained to me

[55:35] that essentially this increas negates the savings that we realized when we

[55:41] switched from the uh Blue Cross HMO the bcn P last year so but keeping that in

[55:49] mind though too if we had stayed with the HMO last year then the increase this

[55:55] year would be significantly more so um I talked a little bit with Herman about

[56:00] the idea of possibly going out and getting other

[56:04] quotes again you recall that we did that last year and the change that we made to

[56:10] uh the the bcn HMO was by far the best proposal that we received and based upon

[56:17] what he has seen from other clients and in other markets he just didn't think it

[56:21] would be worth it to go back out again for quotes again this quickly are you

[56:25] happy with they would you get what you're getting from them quality of care

[56:31] I mean we had some hiccups in terms of the transition on originally but that's

[1:15:11] track down and bringing On Our IT company and so that has been a heck of a

[1:15:15] project and we're looking forward to getting that over with on February 26th

[1:15:18] so uh and my final thing is snow uh stay off the streets please don't park on

[1:15:23] there we uh help our DPW clear that out as quickly as possible and that's all I

[1:15:29] have for you Mr President thank you good thank you um uh the 14th is our

[1:15:37] last day for paying taxes and um um the 28th of this month

[1:15:44] is the the DRFT that last day the day after March 1st is when they're turned

[1:15:49] over to the county so um we have sent letters to anyone that hasn't their

[1:15:55] taxes may have forgotten or or whatever and then um we're calling we're actually

[1:16:01] making phone calls now this week and next week um calling people saying were

[1:16:07] you aware of this and you know cuz you know we do have some we have some

[1:16:12] seniors in the uh Village that um some of them are getting you know have

[1:16:17] different issues they actually need a child to do stuff for them so we're

[1:16:20] doing our us to get to the bottom of it for all these people so that their taxes

[1:16:24] don't get turned over to the county so um and then we're gearing up for um the

[1:16:30] new budget and so we're starting all that process and um we're looking in

[1:16:35] good position for that and and I think that's it um happy Valentine's

[1:16:43] Day and um and um look forward to seeing you guys next

[1:16:52] well Mr thank you Mr President uh first um all

[1:16:58] of you observant people here up at the council table will note that we have a

[1:17:01] new face at the table over sitting with uh Tabitha at the recording secretary's

[1:17:08] table uh Vicky roie who is a village resident longtime Village resident um

[1:17:13] has graciously agreed to step up and serve as our new recording secretary so

[1:17:19] Vicki's going to be a familiar face we're going to break her in by fire at

[1:17:23] our work session in a couple weeks she'll be flying on her own that

[1:17:26] particular night she'll also be covering the zoning board of appeals meetings too

[1:17:30] so um again glad to have Vicki with us I I'm confident that she's going to do a

[1:17:35] good job for us thank you nice to meet

[1:17:40] you um in going through the packet tonight some of you may have noticed

[1:17:44] there was no report from our code enforcement officer this month he's been

[1:17:48] out sick uh for a little over a week right now so we didn't have a report but

[1:17:53] we'll have um the the report for the month of January and along with the

[1:17:57] report for February in the packet in March so

[1:18:03] um just a reminder to everyone this coming Monday is President's Day which

[1:18:08] we do recognize as a holiday here in the village The Village Hall will be closed

[1:18:13] um so we will not be here Police Department of course will be working um

[1:18:18] but the rest of us will not um trash pickup recycling pickup everything that

[1:18:23] uh priority does that will not be affected so we will have trash and

[1:18:28] recycling pickup as normal on Monday that will not be affected but the

[1:18:32] Village Hall will be closed so the only other comment I would make is uh to pick

[1:18:37] up on the chief's comment um yeah please keep your cars off the routes um in

[1:18:43] terms of parking make it easier for the DPW to do your jobs and everybody um

[1:18:48] here in the the hill CH tonight be careful going home tonight it's going to

[1:18:51] be slippery so thank you there's an ordinance for one months right that's

[1:18:56] correct y if your car is parked on the street overnight you will be ticketed or

[1:19:01] in or tow as I understand correct we try not to tow looking for compliance if we

[1:19:07] have to wake you up it's if it's that important then we will but we have

[1:19:10] people like to write citations in like

[1:19:18] so that's all I got all I got that's all all right Council comments start

[1:19:25] jimy uh welcome Vicki to enjoy some very entertaining

[1:19:31] and sometimes very boring conversations so that interesting uh big

[1:19:35] congratulations to Fred Meisner on winning our citizen of the year I've

[1:19:39] worked with Fred on a lot of different things not just veterans committee and

[1:19:42] I've talked to other people about him and they all say the same things about

[1:19:45] him and it's nothing negative ever it's always just complimenting him and

[1:19:50] grateful of his presence in their community and all the things he's done

[1:19:53] in his HOA and and for the village as a whole so I'm really happy to see him get

[1:19:58] this much deserved honor and also I'd like to congratulate uh John Ellsworth

[1:20:02] who the Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce 2024 first responder of the year I had

[1:20:08] the pleasure of attending the U their annual black and white ball where John

[1:20:11] was the winner of that and uh he even wore a tux which is pretty neat to see

[1:20:16] talk about change of uniform kind of thing but uh it was a very well-deserved

[1:20:20] honor for John and it was good to see him he was definitely looking very

[1:20:23] relaxed and if anybody saw his photo on Facebook

[1:20:27] he's in Florida he's definitely doing well yes and yeah stay safe tonight

[1:20:31] everybody thank you to our DPW is going to be out there and our officers were

[1:20:34] going to be out there despite the weather and hopefully it'll be a quiet

[1:20:37] night for everybody better myself ditto yep uh

[1:21:17] on January 23rd Mike was in attendance as well um thought it was a really great

[1:21:20] event appreciated the opportunity to be there Pam and I uh joined the layup

[1:21:24] board meeting today another great meeting and um just in awe of all the

[1:21:28] work that they do for our community so it's definitely well worth our time

[1:21:31] being there and being the ex to that board and then finally um well welcome

[1:21:36] to Vicki and then finally um Friday February 14th one of our elementary

[1:21:41] schools Mary Helen guest is collecting returnable cans to support the

[1:21:45] rebuilding of a little food pantry that sits outside the school so anyone that

[1:21:48] has any returnable cans maybe from the Super Bowl laying around if you want to

[1:21:51] drop it off out front Mary Helen guest it would go to a great cost

[1:21:55] thank you returnable cans you're talking about

[1:21:59] pop cans not glass or glass okay yeah anything with that 10

[1:22:05] cent okay uh I was going to mention uh the

[1:22:11] Leia also um U mark your calendar so far this year

[1:23:14] showers will work I asked her I said if it would work would you use them she
