[12:51] so when in jordan oaks when she one time hired with us and she was a

[12:57] full-time paramedic yeah and she left but she wants to come

[18:36] ordinance number 09-04 of the code of ordinances

[18:40] as further amended in order number 16-09 of the code of ordinances

[18:48] amending or waiving any other provisions of ordinance number

[18:51] 99-10 is amended section 2 regulations e-1 except for

[18:56] statutory prohibited except for local air boards when the

[19:00] full term of appointment to a board or commission is four years

[27:04] you know just as good of court members anything

[27:08] but ron has a huge background in finance and auditing and

[27:17] taking care of know does all kinds of trainings across the state

[27:21] uh red book trainings especially uh he's very active with

[27:24] athletics and multiple roles that i've dealt with just to let you know what the

[27:28] red book is the red book is the guide for

[27:33] um yes so at school school he's trained a lot of

[27:38] people about how to spend money how to do you know

[27:42] accounting how to do safeguarding so that you don't have issues so i think

[27:47] he would be somebody that the board could really

[27:49] lean on when it came to you know especially the money side and

[27:55] then you know he also has a really really

[27:57] strong background david thank you for doing thank you

[28:03] duane i really like his background in finance

[28:07] because i think that is a very key area for someone to have a look

[28:13] at um on that board you need somebody from

[28:18] different paths of life and professions and

[28:21] expertise and i think his would fit very well into

[28:26] being able to help the others understand what's

[28:38] and those questions

[28:41] will help the conversation and help the

[28:53] the board has also people dale stove's the chairman he's

[28:57] used to be a basketball coach gms they've got a

[29:00] um a guy who's they had bait softball eric flag baseball people

[29:07] so they're all great people they're all yeah yeah but just having

[29:11] uh you know to cover the area i don't think any of them have his skill set

[29:15] background so it wouldn't be any other questions or

[29:22] comments is there all like i shared with you all

[29:27] and like what kim said you know um it's nice to have uh qualified people

[29:34] that want to give back to their community and all five of the candidates

[29:40] definitely fit that bill and and i appreciate their interest and will

[29:46] keep them in mind for future a lot of them are

[29:49] already helping and for what it's worth the city is

[29:54] going to consider a they have an opening as well

[31:50] in next week and just do a q a not a full-on interview to try to get

[31:57] some clarification and then i also there's one bid that we

[32:01] had some questions about uh in uh gonna address some of those

[32:06] questions with the the party and then report back

[32:10] to the committee uh next week and then

[32:15] we have a work session scheduled for next friday

[32:19] and i have invited the shepherd's house to come and and

[32:26] give a update next friday during the the work session

[32:34] and i would like if we could come to uh if the committee could come to a

[32:39] recommendation to make to the court i'd like to be able to bring this to the

[32:45] court and we could possibly just make next friday a special

[32:48] called meeting with a limited agenda there

[32:53] so that we might do that if the committee can

[32:56] can come up and if there's any other new business that

[32:59] the court wants i i don't have any other new business

[33:05] i also had talked with general rules about addressing the court

[33:12] here in february as well about we had put into the budget and discussed

[33:19] a feasibility study about a detention center

[33:23] and uh that was a dangerous and i've had a comment and

[33:28] a conversation about just having a discussion with the court about

[33:32] that study and next steps so uh that might be on the uh

[33:38] that could be on the agenda for the work session we could do it to what one

[33:43] of two ways we could simply have the work session and then have

[33:46] a special call meeting for that one agenda item

[33:51] and we can navigate that is there any other new business

[33:54] before we go to number 14. um judge one of the things that i brought this up

[33:58] i believe in december is the uh committee that you're part of

[34:03] for the justice center moves forward it is the we i think the court needs to

[34:09] really need to figure out if we need to put our

[34:13] properties up for consideration well and let me let me update everybody

[34:17] and i appreciate you bringing that up because i actually

[34:20] intended to write that down as a part of the discussion because you

[34:25] and i have talked about that a little bit and

[34:27] rick and i have talked about a little bit today at one o'clock

[34:30] our project development board had a meeting and the project development

[34:38] board approved a public hearing for february 18th

[34:45] and at the february 18th meeting we will entertain and take public

[34:52] comment or and any citizen can offer up

[34:57] their property as potential site or part of the site

[35:01] i don't you know and i've shared this and the court

[35:04] i mean the pdb has uh has you know members of the pdb has

[35:09] expressed the same thing that it's it's our hope that we can find

[35:14] a site downtown so with that said i'm really glad you

[35:19] brought that up i will advertise

[36:56] and then and then the pdb would have to approach the city

[37:03] of georgetown about how to navigate that question about about the street

[37:09] and they also own where the old center of town was that property as well

[37:13] they did but i don't know

[37:18] but on that corner there's two parcels other

[37:21] that are privately owned uh that the pdb would have to

[37:26] you know discuss do we even know that that footprint would hold

[37:30] what the requested um so i've asked mike carroll

[37:37] who is the architect for the pdb uh to essentially you know give me a um

[37:45] a footprint you know how big the foot fro yeah and the other part of

[37:51] the consideration is the requirement the program document

[37:55] requirements include secured parking for

[38:00] judicial staff so that has to be part of this

[38:04] footprint um so uh david once i get that that's something

[38:10] that's public domain and i could share with everybody

[44:17] quite a bit of conversation that can be done in the workshop well
