[8:14] the response we received from fcm for our application for green fund signature

[8:20] project uh so we did receive a response from NCM the encouraged Council to

[8:25] proceed with the project but said that a more rigorous feasibility study would be

[8:30] required than the one that was submitted so

[8:33] we have found out since then that there is money from fcm for approximately 50

[8:40] of eligible costs for this project um

[8:45] so in our work plan we've said the first thing we need to do is find out who

[8:49] could conduct a feasibility study on the pilot project for a title project of

[8:55] this type um we found uh through references not

[8:59] direct contact with the companies that cbcl would be one of the companies

[9:04] capable of doing it Ms consulting which is the same firm that was hired by the

[9:10] nsurb and the nsbi case would be qualified may not be able to do the

[9:15] project because of ongoing business with nspi we have not approached them our own

[9:21] consulting firm for the town probably would not be able to do but could

[9:25] perhaps be approached to obtain an order of magnitude costs so what we're

[9:29] proposing is before we approach any potential Partners since Council wanted

[9:34] to receive a feasibility study the next question would be well who pays for it

[9:38] including grants including potential Partners so we need an order of

[9:43] magnitude costs before we approach potential partners and there were three

[9:48] we would approach so including ourselves would be the town of Middleton the town

[9:52] of kemple potentially Bear River First Nation who we're meeting with in June to

[9:56] see if they're interested once we have the order of magnitude cost

[10:00] the draft expression of interest and you've received a copy so the copy is

[10:05] before you um and then we would need to nail down

[10:10] the potential sources of funds with Partners

[10:14] Grant grants Etc then we could approach a potential funders see if the previous

[10:20] funders are still interested um then we'd issue an expression of

[10:25] Interest provided we had a good idea where the money would come from and we'd

[10:29] refer the responses and recommendations to council so that's basically where we

[10:34] are in terms of work planning and Bill's here to answer any technical questions

[10:39] you may have which I cannot answer so are there any questions

[10:43] so the study yeah so the study how how much do you think the study is going to

[10:49] cost just to do that 170

[10:58] 000 Max yeah so multiply that times two and uh that's

[11:04] the bigger but but we're thinking it could be less than that yeah we don't

[11:15] um so we don't really know which is why we're recommending we do an order of

[11:44] would be smart if it comes to that did sem give guidelines on on the

[11:52] rigorous requirements yes so in the expression of Interest draft we've set

[12:07] them the expression of interest just to make sure it's going to cover what they

[13:59] far has been done in a very Scout small scale just about nine inches in diameter

[14:05] very small prototype we want to bring that up to a thousand

[14:10] uh size was a centimeter and all right

[14:18] so time frame I guess would be the only other you guys have a time frame we'll

[14:22] go so the feasibility study is blocking any

[14:26] movement right now in the project so we need to get through that

[14:30] yeah and then the timeline gets pushed out the longer this goes on so who would

[14:34] have liked to be doing it this year but now would be pushed out to they won't

[14:39] make a decision as soon as the feasibility study is completed they say

[14:43] yes or no and then it's another application to do the pilot that we

[14:47] wanted to do last year

[14:51] and the only reason we continue to push it is it's our best Revenue generation

[14:55] project so far in terms of replacing the money at the causeway this so far

[15:01] remains to be our our best Prospect do you need counsel to make any

[15:07] recommendations to help no it's just to make sure I just wanted

[15:12] to brief you where we are yeah there's a feasibility study and you'd asked us to

[15:18] pursue it so this is the next step yeah we're trying to get uh we're trying to

[15:24] get funding for it and it looks like we have three sources of funding outside of

[29:43] infrastructure management Network and we'll be following up on the coastal

[29:52] data after that I think uh for the sea level rise uh the uh for

[29:58] the sea wall uh We've also started staff have started looking into potential

[30:03] sources of funding for that and there are two major sources one is

[30:08] the adaptation and mitigation fund the federal one which we have a foot in

[30:14] already but uh mask alarm did mention other bigger funding that is coming out

[30:19] so we'll have more news on that as a Monday so basically we're looking for

[30:24] money for the title pilot project hoping that that will provide money for the sea

[30:29] level rise report so those two working together

[30:34] um we did have a successful meeting with

[30:37] fire Services yesterday CIO and I just uh you know on Final negotiations so
