[0:00]
Hey, Jeremy.
[0:09]
» Okay, once it's 8:00, we'll go ahead and
call
[0:12]
a special meeting for the Prospery Town
Board to order for acceptance.
[0:17]
Um
bids on the construction project.
[0:22]
Jared, do you want to take it over?
>> Yeah, good. Several items here to review
[0:26]
and discuss. The first is would be
uh leftover funds that the town has for
[0:31]
the Wastewater Treatment project. We
have the phase two work,
[0:36]
uh which included two project areas that
we had
[0:41]
eight bidders. So, it was well attended.
Um and the low
[0:48]
um responsive responsible bidder for the
project was Copper Ridge Contracting
[0:54]
with a total base bid of $254,970.
[0:59]
This is well below the engineer's
estimates. Uh there are funds available
[1:04]
to complete the project through the IFA
SRF project. So, engineer recommends
[1:10]
that town accept the low
bidder of Copper Ridge Contracting.
[1:16]
» Now, I'll have a motion to accept it.
>> Make a motion we accept the lower bid of
[1:20]
Copper Ridge Contracting.
>> And I'll second that. All in favor?
[1:25]
» Aye.
>> Any opposed? Hearing none.
[1:34]
» And we also have uh the the town is
requesting additional funds using the
[1:40]
same IFA SRF program
for two pieces of equipment here. Uh the
[1:46]
first of which is uh for
[1:54]
Uh this is the CCTV camera quotes.
So, the low responsive responder was
[2:00]
Insight Vision at $11,128.
[2:06]
So, engineer recommends town proceed
with Insight.
[2:12]
» Make a motion we accept the bid the
given by Insight Vision for $11,128.
[2:19]
» I'll second that.
All in favor?
[2:22]
» Aye.
>> Any opposed?
[2:25]
Hearing none.
>> What was that number again?
[2:28]
» $11,128.
>> Oh.
[2:30]
» Mhm.
[2:34]
And then lastly, what the town has also
has other piece of equipment which the
[2:38]
town will be
installing themselves. Said equipment is
[2:43]
manhole insert dishes and didn't see
three quotes for this as well.
[2:50]
The low
responsive responder was Sealing Systems
[2:55]
Inc.
with 80 inflow dishes at $50 a piece for
[3:00]
$4,000. So, engineer recommends town
proceed with Sealing Systems Inc.
[3:07]
» Uh make a motion that we accept the bid
given by Sealing Systems Inc. for four
[3:11]
grand for manhole insert dish dishes.
>> I'll second that. All in favor?
[3:17]
» Aye.
>> Any opposed?
[3:20]
Hearing none.
[3:25]
These documents here are doing the same
thing.
[3:29]
» I
want to hear that out in the
[3:30]
future.
>> Yeah.
[3:32]
» Two certifications.
>> Okay.
[3:34]
Okay.
And then um
[3:37]
just give a quick update some other
business here. So, the
[3:41]
we'll send these documents over to SRF
for phase two and improvements. That
[3:47]
should proceed a little bit quicker than
the equipment. Uh the equipment will
[3:52]
require a PER amendment and we have to
submit a publisher's affidavit first
[4:00]
giving
to note what the project entails what
[4:03]
the changes are and then once the
publisher's affidavit is complete in the
[4:07]
paper then we'll submit the ER amendment
request. Chris will have to sign on
[4:12]
that. So the the second
task I have here I guess inside all this
[4:19]
equipment and bid acceptance is to give
I recommend to give authorization to
[4:25]
Chris Anderson the town council
president the ability to execute any
[4:30]
further SRF documents so you don't have
to have any additional special meetings
[4:35]
to sign the documents necessary to keep
the project moving forward.
[4:42]
» Uh make a motion to to allow Chris to uh
conduct business uh
[4:49]
for the town clerk be
uh based on Drew's recommendation there.
[4:54]
» I'll second that.
>> All in favor say "Aye".
[4:58]
Any opposed? Hearing none.
>> So once we get going here get
[5:02]
publisher's affidavit we'll work with T
Kim on that to what we need to provide
[5:05]
in the paper and then I'll have some
other further documents for you to sign
[5:09]
and then there will also be like the
notice of award
[5:13]
uh notice to proceed we can certainly do
that during uh town council meetings
[5:18]
we'll we'll do so but if we need to keep
it moving forward we'll just send those
[5:22]
paperwork over to you.
[5:26]
I believe that's all uh
John Ben Redman.
[5:32]
So with the Hurricane net project
[5:37]
So before you guys purchase we'll have
to go through these couple of other BS
[5:41]
steps first. You got it.
[5:53]
» So,
any other business I had was
[5:58]
uh we go ahead and fill in the BZA.
That's that.
[6:07]
That's the one thing.
>> What do you mean there's an opening?
[6:09]
» It's an opening.
Just two.
[6:18]
Oh, that's advice. All right.
So, we did fill up
[6:22]
two open spots on the BZA.
Um
[6:26]
so, the
first one was appointed
[6:31]
uh
by council president. And then they also
[6:35]
had the planning commission member, so
Fred McIntyre is taking that position.
[6:40]
And then the other open spot was uh just
for citizen member appointed by council
[6:46]
president. Neighbor
and he's going to take that spot.
[6:51]
So, we still do have an open spot on the
advisory planning commission and we're
[6:57]
going to do that next.
[7:00]
» You said who's taking spot on which part
of the start?
[7:04]
» BZA.
>> BZA.
[7:05]
» As citizen member.
>> Yes.
[7:07]
» And the other one is has the planning
commission member.
[7:15]
Is there any other business that needs
to be brought forth?
[7:19]
» I know we had an outstanding was it on
the we did get the new pump stuck in the
[7:24]
uh return station and that's running
fine. We have no problems. We generally
[7:29]
we'd like to go ahead and pull the
second one out which we'd do as
[7:31]
maintenance but
we had the one sitting there that came
[7:35]
in shop that we never made a motion on
to do not to do and I felt like I'm
[7:41]
compelled to get them some
It's like, "Hey, we're going to do
[7:45]
something with it. And if you want to
wait till the next board meeting to
[7:47]
think about it, but
it's the one that was going to cost us
[7:50]
about $4,700. So, basically 2/3 or, you
know,
[7:54]
better than the uh replacement if you
wanted to have one in storage.
[8:00]
But, um
>> Cuz the new one was what? 61?
[8:04]
» Si- Yeah, 6,000 something. A little six
is right.
[8:08]
» Yeah.
And if you don't want to have it, then
[8:12]
that's fine. I just wanted to
get it out of their shop if that's the
[8:15]
case. You know,
>> Yeah.
[8:17]
I mean, I'm that close to the
replacement. I almost feel like we'd
[8:20]
want to
put the new one
[8:22]
» into Yeah, and
>> our inventory type deal than that
[8:25]
rebuild that one.
>> we feel that would be the gist of it.
[8:27]
Yes, we would do. But, I just wanted to
counsel driven.
[8:31]
» So, Yeah, I mean, if you guys want to go
ahead and get that back, and then cuz is
[8:35]
it the same as the other one that's
the older one we have?
[8:39]
» We got two different ones in there right
now from the what the original was.
[8:44]
Um the newest one is KBX. It's in Sand
Ridge.
[8:49]
And then the other one, I forgot the
name on it, but it's been in there a
[8:52]
little over a year, but it's
due for pull, due maintenance, and
[8:57]
back in. So, we're just going to keep
that rotation going.
[9:01]
» Yeah.
[9:04]
So, yeah, if you want to go ahead and
get that one rebuilt or whatever, you
[9:07]
know what I mean, I'd go ahead and get
that done. And then
[9:10]
uh maybe next year we'll look at getting
a backup pump Yeah, to have.
[9:17]
» Look ahead and see.
>> Yeah.
[9:19]
» Sorry, we're repairing the one, not
replacing it with a new one.
[9:23]
» Well, no, and we won't repair it. We've
already replaced it with a new one.
[9:26]
» Right. And then what are we doing with
the old one then?
[9:28]
» We're just going to scrap it out.
>> Okay.
[9:31]
» And then they're going to rebuild the
one that's in service right now.
[9:34]
» Yeah, they'll go through doing an
maintenance on it. Every uh 12 to 16
[9:39]
months try to pull it and
right here that's that's the thought and
[9:43]
we're we're going to go on there for the
[9:47]
» Sound good to you?
>> Sound good to me.
[9:49]
» All right. I'll make a motion we close
the meeting out then.
[9:52]
» Aaron, do you have anything else I'm
sorry.
[9:55]
» That's all right. I was going to say I
don't know they could possibly next
[9:58]
meeting they're trying to get a
uh for the festival have a uh
[10:04]
parade this year. So in doing so the
town about have to apply for the permit,
[10:09]
you know, and it it requires a requires
a bond that we've got a bond waiver that
[10:15]
we can go through and a permit to to
fill out for temporary closure the road
[10:20]
for that one day in October. Uh if the
council agreeable on that I'd like to
[10:25]
get that signed this week which make
sure we got all
[10:30]
little
pieces and get signed and sent in.
[10:34]
» I'll
make a motion.
[10:35]
» Make a motion that we allow the
I guess permits.
[10:38]
» Yeah, permits for road closure.
>> To
[10:40]
to
continue forward getting that completed
[10:44]
for the
parade fix.
[10:47]
» I'll second that. All in favor?
>> Aye.
[10:51]
» Any opposed?
Hearing none.
[10:55]
Is there any other business?
[10:58]
» I'll make a motion we close the meeting
out.
[11:00]
» We can do that.
>> I'll second. All in favor?
[11:04]
» Aye.
>> All right.
[11:07]
We'll push the center.
>> We'll push the center.
