189 of that went to a bond

payment okay and so that let 50,000 to
try to do streets that's
[2:30]
not enough money right but we was able
to do it with that little extra and I me
[2:36]
we can't get rid of the bond but that
little extra 25 cents extra allows us to
[2:41]
do the streets or do not all the street
but try to get them in repair okay well
[2:48]
now is this this 25 cents now that's
going to retire this this debt that we
[2:54]
owe I'm assuming this is a debt we owe
this 188,000 is that going to retire
[2:59]
that debt
uh not this year the debt was 1.8

million and it was taken for 10 years or
you have to retire in 10 years and this

courts and uh that would mean less money

for police fire whatever else the is
funded out of the general fund so you
[5:55]
could be forced to pay it well will be
forced to pay it it would mainly since
[6:01]
it's a general obligation bond that
means it's taken off or with the taxes
[6:08]
and so they you they can use to pay that
Bond they can use your tax money which
[6:13]
is the general fund uh health insurance
retirement yeah uh those things the fire
[6:22]
they can't really touch the fire but so
that money we'd have to set aside uh
[6:27]
like right now it's
it's like 270,000 right now is the
[6:34]
general fund for the taxes so we'd have
to use 189,000 of that to pay the bond
[6:42]
which would leave I would have to then
lay a lot of people off or we would have
[6:47]
to go to court and the court would then
have to order taxes to be raised yeah
[6:53]
there um which I don't want to do any of
I'm not and I don't I don't want us to
[6:59]
do that but when I think about that I
was in did a little banking business in
[7:04]
my early career for about seven years
and I know that when you didn't make
[7:09]
your payment and there was foreclosure
of course they went into the property
[7:13]
and I thought today well they can't go
in and rip the streets up I mean and
[7:18]
they would not do that I'm quite
positive that they would do it but uh I
[7:25]
would imagine that you would be a never
be able to
[7:30]
alone again it would be really hard to
do you can still get it but you'd be
[7:35]
paying out of your nose on interest and
a bunch of other things yeah it would be
[7:41]
really very costly to the city from then
on I don't think we want to go there I
[7:46]
don't think you do either but I
also looking at this and being the
[7:52]
devil's advocate here you know at times
that probably wouldn't be too bad deal
[7:57]
you know why because it would make us
all very fisal

respons and we would have to live within
our budget and we wouldn't go off on
[8:08]
these tangents of spending more money
than we
[8:12]
have and while I I do not want that to
happen to the city of Dylan I'm just
[8:17]
looking at it as thinking as a retired
person and how many retired people we
[8:22]
have here in the city of Dyan and really
we only have the hospital FES the
[8:28]
college they're
not sent
[8:33]
inet and I would just urge you to be
very very
[8:37]
careful I you know about how you spend
the taxpayers money when it is retired
[8:43]
people that are putting forth the money
to run your schools and your streets and
[8:49]
your retirement and hiring
