[1:38]
» Good afternoon board engineering
department.
[1:42]
You have before you this afternoon for
your consideration
[1:47]
Stere Avenue and Lincoln Avenue
reconstruction drainage improvements
[1:52]
change order number eight job number
2019 00046.
[1:58]
The intersection
of Lincoln Avenue contain large areas of
[2:04]
unsuitable material. Tensar provided
on-site DCP testing which revealed areas
[2:11]
of low strength soils as thick as 2
feet. After review of several
[2:16]
alternatives and in consultation with
tensor staff determined that
[2:20]
undercutting of 10 installing two layers
of tensor and interacts geog grid with
[2:26]
aggregate in between would provide the
most economical means of adequately
[2:31]
stabilizing the subgrid.
This provided this provides a required
[2:36]
bearing capacity in the roadway and also
allows for approved roll test on top of
[2:41]
the air subbase prior to the placement
of top access wall base. Estimated cost
[2:46]
of all the alternatives reviewed as well
as plan sheets showing the estimated
[2:50]
area required under cutting are
attached. Order number eight includes
[2:55]
estimated cost for this multiaxial
grid. The additional quantity 53
[3:02]
aggreate used for undercutting and the
difference between the installed
[3:05]
material only cost for the TX type 2
grip material
[3:11]
this area but will not be used within
this intersection. Change order number
[3:15]
eight does not include cost for common
excavation which would have been
[3:19]
necessary regardless of the undercutting
method. No additional fees are being
[3:24]
requested to complete this work. The
block excavating price price of $7.76
[3:29]
per square yard for the NX750 geog grid.
This comparable pricing on other recent
[3:36]
and current city projects using the same
material. Go engineering requests the go
[3:41]
public works approved change rate for
$37,55.
[3:46]
This change along with previous changes
increases the value of the contract by
[3:50]
3.67%. 67%
approved. This change order is
[3:54]
anticipated by the go redevelopment
commission after June 9th 2026 meeting
[4:00]
has been approved provided
redevelopments authorization and updated
[4:04]
copy of the chamber will be provided
for.
[4:09]
» Thank you.
Uh
[4:13]
question for you
[4:18]
conditioned on the redevelopment the
redevelopment commission's approval that
[4:23]
it does not have to come back or to save
that extra step.
[4:27]
» So it's it's been approved.
>> It has been I thought
[4:32]
» it was it was approved earlier this
week. So
[4:36]
» never mind.
>> Sorry about that. each night jumped
[4:41]
across that part. It's been approved, so
it's ready for your
[4:43]
» Roger that. Okay, great. Questions,
comments, or a motion.
[4:47]
» Yes, sir.
>> Did we just approve a change order for
[4:49]
the same for the same thing
>> related? So, it's been a dual effort to
[4:57]
uh the intention of going in there once
getting it right the first time. So, we
[5:02]
we added some additional uh drainage. Um
if you think about spokes on a wheel,
[5:09]
the drainage pipe was installed in that
fashion to wick the water away from
[5:16]
below. And additionally, this geode grid
um was placed above that
[5:23]
uh pipe drainage layer and the
associated excavation and stone.
[5:29]
» So this wasn't known at the point that
we were digging to put the other in,
[5:35]
» right? It was just as we as we worked
through it, right? That helped some and
[5:41]
and we took the next step to install the
the
[5:47]
next question.
>> We have a motion from the board. I move
[5:52]
to approve change order number eight in
the amount of $37,55
[5:58]
to address unsuitable materials that
stabilize the subgrade with a high
[6:04]
performance geo grid at the intersection
of Lincoln Avenue at Story Avenue.
[6:09]
» Second. Have a motion and a second.
Questions or comments from the audience?
[6:13]

» Justin for Works Utilities. What we have
today is Keystone uh Square 16
[8:03]
acceptance of the drainage plan job
number 2026 2013. Uh, in accordance with
[8:08]
the city's subdivision control ordinance
3196 section 512 drainage plan, the city
[8:13]
engineering department has reviewed the
drainage plan for Keystone Square 16th
[8:17]
located at 2490 Birkshshire Drive. The
drainage plan addresses the drainage
[8:22]
needs for lot 20 and lot 20 only with a
combination of inlet structures,
[8:26]
conveyance pipes, and storm water
retention that provides 138 acre feet of
[8:30]
storage. After due consideration of the
proposed drainage plan, go engineering
[8:35]
department recommends the board of
public works and safety and storm water
[8:39]
board accept the subdivision drainage
plan. Standard note typically go along
[8:44]
with this is that the uh record should
show the city of goan in no way
[8:48]
guarantees the proposed drainage
improvements will adequately function as
[8:51]
designed by the developer's licensed
professional. Additionally, the city
[8:54]
accepts no liability conjunction with
this acceptance of the drainage plan. If
[8:58]
drainage plant plants piping and storm
water impoundments are found to be to
[9:04]
underperform construction, the developer
and or propert will be directed by the
[9:08]
city to take additional remedial action.
At that time,
[9:13]
» thank you. Questions, comments, or a
motion to move forward. I move uh we
[9:17]
approve the
uh subdivision train plan for Keystone
[9:24]
Square
16 lot 20 and lot 20
[9:29]

all subdivision and so ordinance
[10:10]
requirements
there is existing infrastructure
[10:14]
and just accepted to subdivision trans
[10:20]

board. I move to accept the subdivision
[10:24]
flat for Keystone Square 16

[10:49]
DN
D. Uh this is this site 28 South
[10:54]
Edition. And what we have in front of
you is
[10:58]
request to accept a replat of that lot
28
[11:04]
