you
[17:46]
[Music]
[18:08]
showcase the YMCA you Center been a long
[18:14]
time coming a long vision probably ate
[18:18]
your vision that we had put together
[18:22]
collaboration to help in John have been
[18:30]
a part of keeping the collaboration
[18:32]
together it wasn't easy
[18:33]
through the planning page and the vision
[18:36]
but we've helped the vision together and
[18:38]
now we have the wakame head start the
[18:43]
Marshall clinic usenet system and the
[18:46]
alternative school all other one
[19:00]
it's already started we've seen them
[19:03]
progress started already the progress
[19:11]
and what's happening is it's just the
[19:14]
natural collaboration of these entities
[19:17]
working together we alternative school
[19:20]
students are measuring the youth that
[19:23]
after-school program students they're
[19:26]
working with a 4k they're also
[19:28]
intermittent intermingling with the
[19:31]
elderly and seniors that work out in the
[19:35]
Y so and we were sharing staff with them
[19:39]
with cooking facility in the kitchen so
[19:43]
I'm a big proponent of doing more with
[19:47]
less and it's all naturally happening
[19:50]
here and the UN board members some of
[19:55]
you are new but we've been asking you
[19:58]
for this program for several years and
[20:00]
held it together and I can't thank you
[20:02]
enough for doing that and for what it's
[20:04]
going to do for an impact for these
[20:06]
students in our part
[20:09]
community so I thank you Brian Francis
[20:13]
and the rest the Lord and thank you for
[20:15]
being here tonight and showcasing at
[20:41]
this mission to provide services and
[20:46]
they pursued it in a lot of different
[20:49]
directions until it finally gelled into
[20:52]
what we see today and so I thank them
[20:56]
for that vision and
[20:58]
job partner
[21:01]
and together they made impossible
[21:19]
- singing any questions or discussion
[21:33]
yes mr. boy yes then approval that
[21:44]
counts for the month of February
[21:46]
do I have a motion second
[21:55]
any discussion
[22:00]
yes
[22:10]
[Music]
[22:20]
[Applause]
[23:18]
they just to address the board regarding
[23:22]
the topic of 4k that's on the agenda
[23:24]
tonight wanted to come forward as a
[23:26]
parent of students who will be enrolled
[23:28]
in 4k coming on this next school year
[23:31]
and several days like it was very
[23:35]
interesting to see be listening the
[23:36]
executive committee meeting and the many
[23:38]
things that we're talking about I think
[23:40]
that piece for me that's most glaring is
[23:42]
the need and for continued discussion
[23:45]
about this topic and additional
[23:48]
information for everyone to educate
[23:50]
everyone what has happened historically
[23:51]
in the data vision going forward on what
[23:54]
should happen for me as a parent having
[23:57]
many options it's a wonderful thing but
[24:01]
if that limits my ability to obtain that
[24:04]
what I wouldn't work for my title is
[24:06]
going to work within our family schedule
[24:08]
and that's going to be a struggle and I
[24:10]
think that would be the case for many
[24:12]
parents and they do not understand what it's all the way done in this
[24:16]
process
[24:17]
so my hope is
[24:19]
here that many things are taken into
[24:22]
consideration whether it's Indian
[24:23]
forever on care whether it's the need
[24:26]
for different locations of sites for
[24:28]
folks to be at and in the children's
[24:31]
developmental needs you know some
[24:33]
children would be better off in a
[24:35]
community site some maybe the others
[24:37]
better off in the schools but I think at
[24:40]
this point you know one of the things
[24:41]
I'm finding for my child is we're in a
[24:44]
home child care at this point for her to
[24:47]
transition from home into a school would
[24:51]
be a significant change for her so I'm
[24:54]
looking at a gradual change into a
[24:56]
community site it's smaller yet it's
[24:58]
bigger than what she's used to now so I
[25:01]
can talk all day about the specifics of
[25:03]
my child what would be best for her but
[25:04]
I think after listening and everything
[25:07]
tonight overarching my hope for this
[25:10]
group is that the basically table the
[25:12]
decisions of opening another site
[25:15]
currently and a set go into a little bit
[25:18]
more research and analyze the situation
[25:20]
and what it is that would be best for
[25:22]
the community overall and our children
[25:25]
overall not so much looking at not so
[25:30]
much
[25:40]

[25:48]
one announcement here last week March
[25:51]
4th through the 8th was National School
[25:54]
Breakfast Week at issue steam was start
[25:57]
your engines breakfast participation was
[25:59]
trashed a great end to our elementary
[26:01]
schools and be great with the highest
[26:04]
participation received the prize so we'd
[26:06]
like to acknowledge those winners and
[26:09]
extend our congratulations to the
[26:10]
following and grant school the
[26:13]
kindergarten group was the winning class
[26:15]
at Lincoln Elementary fourth grade
[26:18]
Madison elementary was the fifth grade
[26:21]
at Masonville 3rd grade and then
[26:24]
rounding out with Washington Elementary
[26:26]
the kindergarten class were to occlude
[26:30]
awake top honors at that school so again
[26:32]
we just like to extend our
[26:34]
congratulations to all of our winning
[26:36]
class but all of our students that
[26:37]
participate in our school pilots program
[26:45]
then we move on to some recognitions we
[27:19]
before I introduced course it's been it
[27:23]
was a great year these guys had a lot of
[27:25]
expectations placed on them coming off a
[27:27]
state appearance last year as a team
[27:29]
they filled those expectations there's
[27:31]
lots in the office in Downton as a first
[27:33]
year head coach you can probably speak
[27:35]
to that but we did a lot of good things
[27:38]
three regional titles in a row two times
[27:41]
sectional champs these seniors have
[27:44]
really carried us what we said see some
[27:46]
of their role but you know we we qualify
[27:49]
nine guys to go stake
[27:50]
we have 14 weight classes nine of them
[27:52]
were filled by guys from our field so
[27:55]
it's great to go down and watch them
[27:56]
compete we have five section champions
[27:58]
but when we got to state good but three
[28:01]
guys on the podiums to remember list I'm
[28:03]
an herbalist fifth place
[28:04]
Bentley's marvelous third and then Sam
[28:07]
Mitchell with our state champ but a lot
[28:11]
of course Cedars himself and some of the
[28:13]
guys think and what some thoughts on
[28:15]
here I'm party see first year coach I
[28:20]
like each of these guys go first quick
[28:22]
state your name and you're here in
[28:25]
school I'm right into a little
[28:27]
refreshment I'm shaving Western Isles and I'm a
[28:31]
junior I'm kidding father and I'm
[28:33]
freshmen I'm a peon Amazon great
[28:36]
merchant Internet his senior surveys
[28:39]
through senior second Scholesy so we
[28:43]
have a broad spectrum as far as freshmen
[28:45]
all ragers seniors here on graduate
[28:48]
eight seniors that were on the team I
[28:52]
believe six were starters five essential
[28:54]
for starters very senior heavy gonna
[28:57]
miss all those guys all helped us grow
[29:00]
in the room honestly they set the
[29:04]
foundations last four years to where the
[29:07]
program is going to be a going forward
[29:08]
setting a record this year with nine
[29:11]
state qualifiers is awesome the previous
[29:13]
embers five so a seven bar pretty high
[29:16]
for me going totally calm in my coaching
[29:19]
career but I couldn't have asked more
[29:22]
out of them competed hard everyday in
[29:24]
the room and you know built as the
[29:26]
season went on I was a process and they
[29:29]
did very well they peaked at the right
[29:31]
time of the year when it mattered most
[29:33]
great proud of these guys overall
[29:49]
that is a treat
[30:00]
Cheryl desert will be a venom Spring
[30:03]

[30:05]

[33:45]
seconds
[33:49]
but you take the boat miss do you guys
[33:52]
miss assignments yes mr. Murray mrs.
[33:56]
Bolen yes yes these jeans yes
[34:00]
and then facility
[34:09]
we have policies so this was probably
[34:23]
the best policy meeting that I've had in
[34:25]
my time on the board one of the things
[34:29]
that we talked about was reviewing we've
[34:32]
been reviewing the cell phone policy at
[34:34]
the schools and so this meeting we had
[34:36]
all of the principal's pretty middle
[34:38]
school in high school and in particular
[34:42]
the assistant principals gave really good insight into cell phone use
[34:48]
and I'm going to let Karen and Sam get
[34:53]
their opinion on it too because it's a
[34:55]
really big issue and it's one that's
[34:56]
impacting me it impacts high risk
[34:58]
behaviors health issues and we see cell
[35:02]
phones being used to distract from
[35:04]
learning but beyond that you know in my
[35:06]
day job I'm saying that's how kids are
[35:08]
sharing fake and substances and their
[35:10]
everything is happening on cellphones
[35:13]
and mr. forgets Firdaus made a really
[35:16]
good point because he made us take into
[35:19]
consideration that not everything that
[35:21]
happens on cellphones is negative and he
[35:24]
shared a story where a childhood
[35:25]
snapchatted something's when other
[35:26]
students that really caused concern and
[35:29]
so the concerned students went to the
[35:31]
assistant principal and show the message
[35:33]
that had been texted and he would
[35:35]
address that so the issue of cell phones
[35:37]
is complex and they're not just all bad
[35:40]
and it's interesting because I think we
[35:43]
created this problem and now we're
[35:44]
trying to solve it but we've created
[35:45]
kids are better at things than we are so
[35:48]
you know so it's been a really
[35:50]
interesting discussion highlights of the
[35:53]
conversation where first of all a middle
[35:55]
school doesn't have a problem
[35:58]
they didn't see a need to change policy
[36:00]
or to look at policy if that age kids
[36:03]
are following the rules sounds like
[36:05]
they're using their cell phones only at
[36:07]
the appropriate times and so they
[36:11]
actually left me earlier now high school
[36:13]
something happens between middle school
[36:16]
and high school with some phones and all
[36:18]
the lot of arguments right by them so we
[36:21]
know that kids are distracted from
[36:22]
classroom and it was really interesting
[36:24]
because it's not just about us writing a
[36:27]
new policy like we we're about policy
[36:30]
and and mister Reglan said it's not
[36:32]
about a new policy it's about how to
[36:35]
deal with cell phones in the classroom
[36:37]
and I just it's such an important update
[36:40]
mr. Reagan was she was sharing how you
[36:42]
know classrooms are what 40 minutes and
[36:44]
so if you're gonna fight with a kid or
[36:46]
art with a kid to put your cell phone
[36:48]
and if you're gonna take that battle and
[36:50]
you're gonna have to win it and that
[36:51]
could take 22 minutes of a 40 minute
[36:53]
class right and then you've missed your
[36:56]
learning targets for that day and the
[36:59]
whole rest of the class has had to stop
[37:01]
their learning because we're taking on
[37:03]
this cell phone issue with this one
[37:06]
student and and what we learned was
[37:08]
putting them in a bag isn't going to do
[37:09]
it necessarily because if the kids in
[37:11]
crisis they're not going to be away from
[37:13]
their phone and so we look at it through
[37:16]
the lens of policy and dr. Christensen
[37:19]
said you know it really isn't about
[37:20]
rewriting policy right now but rather
[37:23]
figuring out how we can bring everyone
[37:24]
together at the high school and first of
[37:26]
all look at this issue and some of the
[37:28]
things that we talk about or certainly
[37:30]
policy what is the policy but a policy
[37:32]
is only as fun as the teachers and the
[37:34]
administration
[37:35]
to present and beyond that we also have
[37:39]
to equip students with you know
[37:41]
education related to your dangers of
[37:43]
cell phone use and all of that boots so
[37:45]
the outcome of that really long and that
[37:48]
really good conversation was to
[37:51]
establish a task force at the high
[37:52]
school level to bring together students
[37:55]
whoever the administration feels needs
[37:57]
to be in that group and they're gonna be
[37:59]
coming back to us it came from with
[38:01]
their thoughts I don't know if that'll
[38:02]
be a recommendation or what we're doing
[38:04]
forward but it was a really good
[38:07]
conversation cell phones are impacting
[38:09]
every areas of students lives and
[38:11]
learning in the classroom is one but
[38:14]
there's so much more to it and they're
[38:16]
both an asset and they're also a
[38:17]
liability and so it's sort of grappling
[38:20]
with how do we create an environment
[38:21]
within schools and I would create
[38:24]
policies within the schools that are
[38:26]
going to promote learning decreased
[38:29]
distraction but also provide that Avenue
[38:33]
that kids do need with their cell phones
[38:35]
you know especially if there's an
[38:37]
emergency or if there's an issue or
[38:39]
they're in crisis and they don't want to
[38:40]
talk to someone thinking that they can
[38:42]
text so it was a really good meeting I
[38:44]
think sometimes at the policy committee
[38:45]
we're just looking at words on paper
[38:47]
this one feels like it's so much bigger
[38:49]
and it's really really important in our
[38:52]
buildings in the high schooler to our
[38:53]
students so that's really what took up
[38:55]
the policy Sam or caring to add on that
[38:58]
I wanted to add a couple clicks and
[39:01]
Jackson animations I just wanted to just
[39:07]
say hats off to you pulling together the
[39:08]
data that you did and then just a whole
[39:10]
high school team that has really put a
[39:12]
lot of work into discussing this and
[39:15]
getting the opinions of both students
[39:17]
and teachers and I was very I did a
[39:20]
couple I think it was never question
[39:21]
number two in question number ten in
[39:23]
your survey to the to the teachers that
[39:25]
kind of stuck out for being one is that
[39:27]
indeed the average ranking of the policy
[39:31]
was that they even changed and that's
[39:34]
what I was hearing but it did come
[39:37]
through on this survey but and that's
[39:39]
what I've been hearing from teachers
[39:40]
that we need more teeth we need
[39:41]
something to back us up and I think
[39:43]
that's what policy does it says the
[39:44]
minimum that you can then refer to and
[39:48]
differ and defer to that instead of
[39:50]
coming for me in certain policy then a
[39:53]
second point that it seems clear to me
[39:55]
is that is that the the reports from the
[39:58]
teachers about distractions by cell
[40:01]
phones during the day they're not that
[40:04]
repeated everybody
[40:06]
or weekly and if you look at the summary
[40:08]
of those positive responses it was like
[40:12]
to 67% checksums every of the teachers
[40:15]
it was it was yeah they never said
[40:19]
having sex was it remember it was
[40:22]
compelling that we have a problem with
[40:25]
the cell phones distracting the
[40:28]
educational process in high school so
[40:31]
that's that's where it's just back to
[40:36]
the home of a policy top-down gunshots
[40:41]
do it this way
[40:42]
we're not there we're not with the kids
[40:44]
right the teachers this is a
[40:47]
community-based problem it's a work base
[40:50]
problem so the idea of giving it back to
[40:54]
give the school administrators and the
[40:57]
kids I mean if you get the kids involved
[40:59]
explain to them what the issues are and
[41:02]
really I mean who are we to know how
[41:05]
easy it is to give up your phone I can
[41:07]
do it but I didn't come as breeze with
[41:09]
it attached to my hand
[41:10]
so I became the kids involved in and
[41:13]
brainstorming that's - this is a problem
[41:16]
powering
[41:19]
ownership with adult supervision and
[41:22]
then have the policy written so that
[41:25]
communities that people can refer to
[41:28]
should there be infractions especially
[41:34]
looking for feedback so and again I just
[41:40]
want to echo Sam's like thank you to all
[41:42]
of the assistant principals and all the
[41:44]
work you did and what you contributed so
[41:54]
it'll be coming back we also so there's
[42:00]
a few items that we did do that weren't
[42:02]
related to cell phone use we do have
[42:05]
several policies coming forward now for
[42:09]
action today they weren't before t last
[42:12]
month and I don't think any of us got
[42:14]
any other back we did some evolutions at
[42:17]
the or and the committee so I think just
[42:20]
minor divisions so I would like to move
[42:24]
forward with the approval of policy five
[42:28]
one one one eligibility of president
[42:31]
non-resident students and again there
[42:33]
was some minor revisions to that policy
[42:37]
discussion or questions okay it's item G
[42:44]
I didn't notice this until I was
[42:46]
glancing over my sentence says B sir
[42:54]
high school students who reside in a
[42:57]
different school system district as a
[42:59]
result of reorganization under chapter
[43:02]
117 anyway they may be allowed to come
[43:06]
to ours that we agreed but my question
[43:10]
is lessons that says the school board of
[43:13]
residence shall pay the students tuition
[43:16]
and the school of attendance shall count
[43:19]
the student in its membership so my
[43:25]
working in that because this is kind of
[43:28]
this area if they're getting paid
[43:33]
resident the school district of
[43:37]
residence or whoever that is whether
[43:41]
it's us of them but then the school of
[43:43]
attendance counts them I thought they
[43:45]
can just what maybe money from the state
[43:48]
so you shouldn't it's mostly seen as
[43:53]
opposed to
[43:59]
I think this is a very specific
[44:04]
situation
[44:05]
Shepard or a district and never had an
[44:09]
option under it okay so because to me
[44:14]
[Music]
[44:24]
it's different is that Brent
[44:28]
okay that answers my question
[44:31]
just verify because it was differently
[44:33]
when I used
[44:40]
there's a senior mr. mrs. Beaumont yes miss Jeanie
[44:46]
yes sister you kind of know so I can
[44:50]
original questions that there's no
[44:51]
question with an extract put them all in
[44:53]
the autumn of sharing networks approval
[44:56]
of policy point 412 homebound
[44:59]
instruction approval of the policy 5830
[45:02]
student fundraising and approval of 6605
[45:06]
funding mr. party and then the last item
[45:22]
in the update is the first reading on
[45:27]
the 8,500 through services and so that
[45:32]
came forward for our first reading
[45:34]
questions contact any of us certain
[45:37]
email forward
[45:41]
Oh
[46:00]
okay plans tonight we looked at the
[46:04]
bills were all expenditures revenues and
[46:13]
so on actually looked at various budgets
[46:19]
or to tonight we heard from Kinsey
[46:24]
animal teaching and learning clutches
[46:28]
many of us older teachers as the
[46:34]
curriculum
[46:38]
and those the budget for that as well as
[46:43]
the Student Services budget presented by
[46:47]
Tracy Kells their proposals at this
[46:52]
point because there are still some state
[46:54]
funding issues and other grants and so
[46:57]
on that may or may not come in that will
[47:00]
in fact potentially the most budgets
[47:02]
when we get to the final budget
[47:04]
representative later in the year I'm
[47:09]
gonna swap these seasick contract for a
[47:12]
loan because of another reduction like I
[47:14]
might have to play set at the end of
[47:16]
that's okay we also talked about the
[47:19]
athletic facility project and once again
[47:22]
the finances there are fantastic the
[47:26]
goals that were hoping were in terms of
[47:32]
goals from the public in general and
[47:34]
various committees
[47:37]
amenity amount of money that was
[47:41]
expected were only four in that
[47:43]
committee
[47:46]
school officials with a part of that
[47:50]
Finance Committee all the finances
[47:55]
they need is gold tonight we did hear
[47:57]
from Mike treble in technology movies
[48:03]
and Technology issues that will be
[48:05]
applied to those facilities such as a
[48:09]
internet or wireless operation and so on
[48:12]
and also on from Nathan Delaney our
[48:16]
athletic director tonight because now
[48:18]
we're starting to get you into a phony
[48:20]
call it the mateship before the capital
[48:24]
buildings big things budgets for chairs
[48:30]
and tables and all other types of things
[48:34]
that are at
[48:34]
have to go inside these facilities so if
[48:37]
you see that an update from Nathan
[48:39]
tonight on a list that he has put
[48:41]
together some of those items we also
[48:45]
received an overall budget update review
[48:49]
from mr. so sermon and things are
[48:52]
potentially looking under the state
[48:54]
level we were hoping that we will
[48:56]
receive more money per pupil there is
[48:59]
some conversation right now
[49:01]
we might be receiving it under dollars
[49:03]
more and I believe passes a pregnancy
[49:05]
ASD it begins a state budget that will
[49:12]
come to the school districts or their
[49:14]
finances and once again the overall
[49:18]
budget is ongoing as so ministers issues
[49:21]
of state take place now I have two items
[49:23]
that we need to look at for approval
[49:26]
tonight that are actually like we have
[49:31]
contracts with ceases and ceases our
[49:35]
cooperative education groups throughout
[49:38]
the state
[49:42]
we do a lot of five six sometimes
[49:46]
weekend as well
[49:48]
but sisa is an organization that comes
[49:51]
together to help school districts
[49:53]
provide various services and also
[49:59]
information throughout the year in terms
[50:02]
of all going to be curriculum it could
[50:05]
be budgets food whatever but right now
[50:08]
they have in front of us tonight reward
[50:11]
to approve the contract for ceases for
[50:17]
the 2019 and 2020 district bringing that
[50:25]
forward so we have a motion on behalf of
[50:31]
the committee to approve the contract
[50:34]
specified and CSUN camp
[50:38]
this attached
[50:47]
the session of our interesting because
[50:53]
we've had some pasta for next year that
[50:57]
we need to address and I've just
[51:01]
returned
[51:13]
if we are approving this now do that
[51:18]
we're setting ourselves up for predator
[51:23]
no ability to alter this valve is that
[51:31]
first Oh commented a couple of things
[51:33]
number one there is in other offices
[51:35]
related somehow to
[51:38]
employee relations conversation
[51:40]
reviewing staffing assignments one of
[51:44]
those adjustments is already reflected
[51:45]
in the contract and that we've
[51:46]
contracted with C survivor DLL services
[51:49]
and we've had that removed from the
[51:51]
contract that's already been taken out
[51:53]
as far as the other staffing components
[51:58]
within the contract we are at the other
[52:01]
next year every way
[52:05]
which are the large pieces being number
[52:08]
one the staffing needs for things like
[52:10]
physical therapists occupational
[52:11]
therapists and secondly
[52:14]
a chunk of that contract is for our
[52:17]
slots at the local alternative spirit
[52:20]
which is necessary as well it actually
[52:24]
looks like
[52:31]
occupation
[52:34]
and physical therapy but it also means I
[52:37]
own them from here
[52:42]
she mentioned I don't know the best
[52:46]
authorities familiar Bentley good
[52:49]
accounting affirmative school best row
[52:51]
that we have traditionally had two sides
[52:53]
there and those are usually for kids
[52:57]
that are not repellant our system
[53:03]
so
[53:06]
- there's lots
[53:12]
and tasty as they want to lead you to
[53:18]
tell that the staff was really an
[53:21]
excellent job through not receiving
[53:41]
it
[53:59]
discussion comments mrs. Beaumont yes
[54:05]
children
[54:06]
yes it's Jeannie yes the GPAs yes one
[54:13]
other item for action and I think this
[54:15]
is a really neat item on our agenda to
[54:18]
be asking for the board to approve or
[54:25]
establish and angel funders the purpose
[54:29]
of an angel fund is to provide
[54:30]
assistance to families that are
[54:32]
struggling and to help ensure all of our
[54:35]
students basic needs are being met I'm
[54:38]
not going to read through all of those
[54:41]
but
[54:41]
money for that primarily the folks from
[54:45]
forward beta C C's money for that so we
[54:51]
thank them for this involvement inches
[54:55]
and there are many uses through the
[54:59]
needles for students that are not
[55:00]
getting the proper nutrition that could
[55:02]
be signal trip cost we talked in the
[55:04]
past when we recruit field trips and
[55:06]
what happens if the student can't afford
[55:08]
and a teacher or administrator is just
[55:11]
aware that they've been told the kid was
[55:13]
like to go along the student would like
[55:15]
to go home but it just can't afford to
[55:18]
pay some transportation the system he's
[55:21]
even clothing and other personal needs
[55:23]
and I think this is just a most standing
[55:27]
project
[55:31]
with this can be accent access through
[55:35]
our business office is established but
[55:37]
fun it was confidentiality involved
[55:42]
that idea of establishment of a school
[55:46]
district of course you feel emotion
[56:08]
yes and finally we looked at the monthly
[56:13]
variance report how much money has been
[56:16]
spent allocated by the district at this
[56:18]
point compared to last year and course
[56:22]
diversity differences in some area like
[56:25]
construction for example the state of
[56:27]
the athletic facility project the old
[56:29]
wall very very very
[56:41]
my report
[56:51]
but clearly met these trace accounts
[56:57]
gave an update on the school based there
[56:59]
told help consortium so the timeline
[57:07]
progress of the process was provided and
[57:11]
it will weigh the curve providers range
[57:18]
of space to meet with our clients but
[57:20]
their current clients persistent through
[57:25]
the consortium providers will be
[57:27]
involved in problem solving meetings in
[57:30]
addition to just meeting the current
[57:32]
clients and then we had a professional
[57:36]
development update
[57:41]
strands of professional development
[57:43]
being awkward to staff
[58:03]
and then we looked at personalized
[58:06]
learning flexible classrooms so this was
[58:10]
kind of interesting visuals nice creepy
[58:15]
these are flexible learning spaces that
[58:19]
are piloted each of the school classroom
[58:22]
in each school at all the levels and
[58:26]
it's to support the learner in how they
[58:34]
makes it easier for them and so and also
[58:38]
the teacher and how they want to present
[58:41]
the eggs of different techniques they
[58:43]
can use so it has to do with replacing
[58:48]
the furniture in the classroom as it
[58:50]
means the end of its lifespan in that
[58:52]
classroom and some of the pictures you
[58:57]
know
[58:59]
traits that very different than at the
[59:01]
braids so it might be having you know
[59:06]
chairs that move differently or are
[59:08]
shaped differently to the upper grades
[59:11]
where there may be the cheers will go up
[59:13]
there do is your just go up or down
[59:17]
very different
[59:20]
how my teacher wants to use them things
[59:22]
like that they're still collecting
[59:24]
feedback from the teachers and the
[59:28]
students and so we'll hear more about
[59:33]
that
[59:34]
and as we get that children then we got
[59:41]
to Tammy about this space for the
[59:47]
alternative school
[59:48]
Tammy Franks gave us an update on this
[59:52]
location but then why because this is
[59:54]
our first year here and I didn't know we
[59:59]
knew that one of the big items was going
[1:00:02]
to be the technology here because we had
[1:00:06]
struggled with the online portion of the
[1:00:09]
old site as malicious as they were there
[1:00:13]
that was still a struggle but the thing
[1:00:17]
that impressed me the most were things
[1:00:20]
that
[1:00:21]
were mentioned as he introduced
[1:00:24]
everything this evening location to
[1:00:36]
interact with others whether it's the 4k
[1:00:40]
or the senior citizens they can use the
[1:00:44]
facilities here
[1:00:47]
so some of them have met people just
[1:00:50]
here in the facilities that they get
[1:00:52]
together with before class think of do
[1:00:55]
things with her after class within the
[1:00:58]
facility job opportunities have arisen
[1:01:03]
volunteer opportunities have arisen said
[1:01:06]
the old location they were much more
[1:01:08]
isolated and didn't have all the
[1:01:11]
connections that this affords which was
[1:01:15]
part of that vision that they've talked
[1:01:18]
about to bring these service
[1:01:20]
and it provides a lot of connections so
[1:01:26]
I may be missing something and I think
[1:01:29]
to me that was the highlight
[1:01:31]
no I mentioned my membership yes they
[1:01:35]
get a wide readership survey use the
[1:01:38]
facilities and
[1:01:40]
just to the edge of Institute they're
[1:01:45]
the only tweaks that they would like to
[1:01:48]
make or maybe some of these have been
[1:01:50]
toward the place at some point so that
[1:01:53]
they can have doors to close out because
[1:01:57]
then you can configure spaces better in
[1:02:00]
other ways and I guess if I could
[1:02:06]
Francis just AF because John is still
[1:02:08]
hearing back John if we could on behalf
[1:02:10]
of the school district just extend to
[1:02:13]
you and the YMCA Board of Directors our
[1:02:16]
appreciation for granting those
[1:02:17]
memberships to our student
[1:02:29]
from day one when John first came to
[1:02:33]
word he also they're so good at working
[1:02:36]
with this what kind of space to meet in
[1:02:40]
numbers he really tried to accommodate
[1:02:42]
our needs even through the planning
[1:02:45]
process from day one so that's really
[1:02:48]
appreciated
[1:02:53]
then the curriculum approval timeline
[1:02:57]
just to give you a heads up we will be
[1:03:01]
looking at the business and technology
[1:03:10]
fortunately we did look at some
[1:03:12]
questions that came up on the first
[1:03:15]
edition of Forte at Madison elementary
[1:03:18]
but I think we pretty much discuss those
[1:03:22]
in executive sessions and then we did
[1:03:29]
look at some of the travel but that
[1:03:39]
make sure it fits that couldn't afford
[1:03:44]
to know some of these had ways of
[1:03:46]
raising please be part of it
[1:03:50]
even if they didn't have them I mean our
[1:03:53]
hope to join in country
[1:03:56]
that was good that's it
[1:04:07]
that will go to employee relations okay
[1:04:10]
that to me amber light light is our
[1:04:12]
chair all the same as far as our actual
[1:04:19]
committee meeting we talked about
[1:04:21]
support staff employed and look we
[1:04:24]
looked at and possibly just wording
[1:04:27]
changes and not only in the support
[1:04:31]
staff are petrified
[1:04:33]
and both in terms of moving some things
[1:04:37]
around in an animal for just more
[1:04:40]
appropriately because they seem to merge
[1:04:42]
or them all together some of those were
[1:04:47]
worthless post-employment benefit
[1:04:53]
language for administrative staff and
[1:04:55]
others first reading involved their new
[1:04:59]
business compensation for summer school
[1:05:02]
principal assignments novels be
[1:05:05]
paternity acknowledgement would be for
[1:05:07]
example to an elementary summer school
[1:05:10]
principal principal versus the high
[1:05:14]
school and middle school age student the
[1:05:18]
administrators of those facilities and
[1:05:21]
those programs some staffing updates and
[1:05:24]
operation and planning for next year
[1:05:29]
Brian brought to us there dr.
[1:05:31]
Christiansen brought to us that the
[1:05:35]
central office directors are going
[1:05:38]
you're looking through all the
[1:05:39]
curriculum throughout the sections that
[1:05:41]
are of our curriculum offerings seeing
[1:05:45]
this staff as being best used across the
[1:05:49]
broad curriculum
[1:05:51]
number of students involved in sections
[1:05:57]
further
[1:05:59]
and also looking at efficiencies because
[1:06:01]
we have rough forward recommendations
[1:06:03]
for adding additional staff inside and
[1:06:06]
stop locations so can we make some
[1:06:08]
adjustments like they ll not track that
[1:06:11]
product before we see survive you see
[1:06:12]
how our staff there was so 4k discussion
[1:06:18]
that that will be brought up tonight
[1:06:20]
later there was a discussion of base
[1:06:22]
wage increases for support staff
[1:06:29]
okay and also based wage increases for
[1:06:35]
administrative and district level staff
[1:06:38]
for 2019 and 2020 tonight let's see
[1:06:47]
bring to you first of all the
[1:06:50]
resignations and employment first of all
[1:06:54]
we have a number of resignations for the
[1:06:57]
district captain Pollard who was at
[1:07:00]
Madison school area choicerish we
[1:07:02]
students at the middle school Rho and
[1:07:05]
Rho are generous trauma is that the high
[1:07:08]
schools a teacher assistant and Ashley
[1:07:10]
Nicolai at Lincoln as a teacher
[1:07:13]
assistant and once
[1:07:15]
was uh resignations
[1:07:23]
big sentiment right before this
[1:07:27]
even better than us - exactly so I
[1:08:03]
yes so this is a solar situation the
[1:08:13]
crew deployment personnel Michael pinky
[1:08:17]
will be a little school in business
[1:08:20]
education pH esenberg the school
[1:08:23]
psychologist and elementary level and
[1:08:26]
why we're very fortunate some of these
[1:08:29]
hybrids because they're in such demand
[1:08:30]
or at least 817 earth the transportation
[1:08:34]
aid or school bus company enjoys dinner
[1:08:37]
food service preparation high school
[1:09:04]
[Music]
[1:09:11]
one analyst what is google of a support
[1:09:16]
staff employee and
[1:09:24]
yes
[1:09:29]
I don't know what I think
[1:10:22]
in singles
[1:10:36]
yes ministry
[1:11:08]
mrs. Bowen yes actually yes it's Jean
[1:11:11]
yes this new face
[1:11:17]
[Music]
[1:12:13]
mr. secretary thank you
[1:12:19]
mrs. Coleman yes dr. Shulman give miss
[1:12:22]
Jeanie yes mr. camara goes the next item
[1:12:31]
is approval of additional court case
[1:12:33]
site of Medicine
[1:12:37]
I guess certify they just got a bottom
[1:12:40]
daffodil it seems like maybe you have
[1:12:43]
something on your mind
[1:12:45]
well I think this result for the
[1:12:47]
discussion that was held during
[1:12:48]
consecutive nights there seems to be a
[1:12:52]
need for more meeting or discussion on
[1:12:57]
this item
[1:12:58]
also as it was brought up by the
[1:13:01]
individual that spoke tonight so I move
[1:13:06]
that we table this I didn't everything
[1:13:09]
that's related to the comments I was
[1:13:11]
going to make is I think it's very clear
[1:13:12]
that the board would like that special
[1:13:14]
media to dive into some details a little
[1:13:17]
bit deeper yeah it would be good to look
[1:13:20]
at maybe scheduling navigation and
[1:13:22]
you're looking at that right now as the
[1:13:23]
one that might be in table
[1:13:42]
any discussion I'm just speaking for
[1:13:55]
myself
[1:14:05]
especially for so I suppose
[1:14:19]
this person alignment that then kind of
[1:14:23]
answers
[1:14:25]
[Applause]
[1:14:27]
let's
[1:14:30]
as a result of teenagers fatigue and
[1:14:34]
anticipating a longer or substances even
[1:14:38]
possibly on the sole project they may be
[1:14:42]
able to get some better
[1:14:47]
sentries run them at work in me as well
[1:14:51]
and part of the process it also seems
[1:14:58]
that we don't want it to lay on us I
[1:14:59]
think we have a lot of things that are
[1:15:01]
fresh in people's minds so the Aspire
[1:15:04]
scheduling something because I felt like
[1:15:07]
ever during executive session you want
[1:15:09]
to do that separate from our regular so
[1:15:16]
I don't see the bonus and the decision
[1:15:20]
is to table
[1:15:40]
Oh
[1:15:50]
we will at the end of that discussion
[1:15:52]
hopefully at the end of the discussion
[1:15:54]
where he wanted to still it was more
[1:15:57]
recent on who's doing something I think
[1:16:01]
it's critical this plan I as I have just
[1:16:12]
put together you know information from a
[1:16:16]
lot of sources and
[1:16:19]
senators intiatives about the music of
[1:16:24]
the various programs it and also camera
[1:16:28]
you're learning that there's
[1:16:30]
or physically space-wise before the
[1:16:34]
district to have the entire 4k program
[1:16:39]
in schools there's no chance that that's
[1:16:42]
going to happen anytime soon it's just
[1:16:44]
not stays at in one classroom I think is
[1:16:49]
not going to impact you imagine I don't
[1:16:54]
have data for the other the community
[1:16:57]
work permits which we all believe are
[1:16:59]
very important to have for the foot
[1:17:00]
reasons that our community members and
[1:17:05]
leave it we need to have both we need to
[1:17:08]
and
[1:17:08]
school rates as well as numerous
[1:17:10]
programs but we need to have a
[1:17:12]
consistent quality and I leave you the
[1:17:16]
addition of a Madison classroom an
[1:17:19]
addition of a teacher as only improving
[1:17:22]
the possibility for better collaboration
[1:17:24]
with teachers another certified teacher
[1:17:28]
in the school-based program that has the
[1:17:32]
benefit of a lot of other services you
[1:17:36]
know that every fingertip it would one
[1:17:41]
point I want to make is that having a
[1:17:43]
school-based program makes it a lot
[1:17:44]
easier for some of our special needs for
[1:17:46]
Haiti
[1:17:47]
students to be getting the holistic and
[1:17:52]
education that is something that did
[1:17:54]
about the discussion that is extremely
[1:17:56]
difficult very much a strength on the
[1:17:58]
teachers in the community settings as
[1:18:01]
well as the therapists that are joining
[1:18:02]
to to treat these kids in
[1:18:06]
community-based programs it's just a lot
[1:18:09]
to do and we're probably serving those
[1:18:11]
kids that are in have another option for
[1:18:14]
the school-based program it's also
[1:18:35]
what we don't know is the consequences
[1:18:40]
of it
[1:18:59]
yes
[1:19:19]
yeah I would but I guess my response
[1:19:24]
would be next week
[1:19:27]
we already have board meeting scheduled
[1:19:30]
two nights next week I guess I would
[1:19:32]
like to throw a question of early April
[1:19:34]
and possibly the first week of April
[1:19:36]
which is usually after spring great
[1:19:39]
however we don't have any other meetings
[1:19:41]
well we have an employee relations
[1:19:43]
there's the immersion of that beat but
[1:19:44]
you know with a like Wednesday April 3rd
[1:19:51]
I'm home the next week but I don't know
[1:20:01]
[Applause]
[1:20:25]
people so for example my baby girl
[1:20:44]
we're stuck by 5:30
[1:20:56]
[Music]
[1:21:45]
because I kind of need that dress
[1:21:51]
so now an apology
[1:21:58]
the first one is
[1:22:04]
20 20 people's person to travel agency
[1:22:30]
Tim Burton Linda Spears Tim if you
[1:22:32]
wouldn't mind standing out but my
[1:22:34]
understanding is that your play into
[1:22:36]
Europe lands of Switzerland s
[1:22:38]
blacklisted so that an itinerary wheel
[1:22:44]
and ezarik those cut fights buried from
[1:22:48]
both sides celeb dates really come on on
[1:22:51]
this show people travel together to get
[1:22:53]
onto a bus I had working with someone
[1:22:56]
about teachers and pixel sure here's a
[1:22:58]
good point so hopefully we will have one
[1:23:00]
big painting on this will be here then
[1:23:03]
one day in the Sun strong risky city and
[1:23:08]
then we need to so we just need that on
[1:23:11]
the horn because on the forum it just
[1:23:14]
has Italy the title says Italy and
[1:23:15]
Switzerland but then all the
[1:23:17]
destinations are just Italy
[1:23:24]
[Applause]
[1:24:10]
[Music]
[1:24:40]

[1:24:46]

[1:26:31]
that is
[1:26:45]
one yet
[1:26:48]
[Music]
[1:27:00]
[Applause]
[1:27:22]
