[10:43] returned for a follow-up season, uh we've already paid always paid them

[10:47] either the greater of the minimum wage which required to uh by law or uh $1

[10:53] more than what they were being paid from the previous uh hourly rate. Uh for this

[10:57] year we have one student that has returned uh for second season which is

[11:01] great. The benefit there being they've already been trained, they already have

[11:05] all the gear because we've already bought them all the gear and it just

[11:08] it's good to have those people there rather than starting off from scratch

[11:10] with a brand new green person. And in the project that we did uh last year for

[11:16] our uh payroll bands and the actual step for the bands, we had put the summer

[11:21] student as just basically minimum wage rate because this item didn't come up uh

[11:25] in a discussion. So be that we're aware of it now, what this resolution does

[11:29] enables us to revise our actual payroll bands and hourly rates to say that

[11:34] returning summer students are the greater of minimum wage rate at the time

[11:38] of hire or the um uh prior hourly rate plus $1 close to $1. So you'll see in

[11:44] the attachments the previous uh payroll u payans and steps and one that's

[11:50] revised, they're identical except for towards the bottom where it talks about

[11:53] returning summer students. Sounds good.

[13:01] three, which is a rate of $25.68, 58 to step five which will be a rate of $26.71

[13:07] per hour effective July 7th. Uh this works out to be an hourly rate increase

[13:13] of $1.3 per hour. Uh also all recommended is that the mun provide

[13:18] municipality clerk overtime for evening hours worked provided during to support

[13:23] council during his meetings. And the reason being is that the municipal clerk

[13:27] would originally hire supposed to be working two and a half days per week

[13:31] regular time. Uh but my absence uh following uh this be my last meeting. Uh

[13:36] basically the new school clerk will be actually supporting council in the

[13:40] evening hours uh for these meetings and this would only be in fact until uh the

[13:45] chief administrative officer is hired and then of course that person will take

[13:49] over this role and then clerk.

[18:14] was I'm still a little bit skeptical about all the money we're paying for

[18:19] these new police officers and whether they're going to really do that much

[18:23] good, but listening to him, it sounds like maybe it's going to be money well

[18:27] spent. Good. And that was the crest, the guy, the crest. Is that the title for

[19:09] last week and then just a little report on the July 1st event here. Went off

[19:14] very good. We had a good representation from the fire department like those

[19:19] numbers are getting higher every year which is nice. We had uh some council

[19:23] members and some council members spouses. We had um some volunteers from

[19:28] the community again. So that was nice and went smooth. Served about 450 people

[19:34] and didn't have to run for anything. We had a little bit of stuff left over and

[19:38] so it went really good and a lot of good comments. I think Gail was at at the

[19:42] greeting table there. She maybe heard some stuff too or hopefully it was all

[19:47] positive. All good. Yeah. No what? No pens this year. That was the only one I

[19:51] heard a few times. Okay. Special. Yeah. But no, the event went good. So I just

[19:57] wanted to give a little report on that. That's all I had. So we'll go back to

[20:02] the um administrative clerk to appointment. Okay. Uh so the

[20:07] administrative clerk 2 appointment agenda item uh is a recommendation to

[20:12] take our current administrative clerk one employee and transfer her into a

[20:17] position which is the administrative clerk 2 employee and this she's

[20:21] currently at step one on the administrative clerk uh pay and she'd be

[20:25] moving to step one of the administrative clerk to position. Uh the reason is for

[20:30] this is that um this person was hired uh green with no municipal government

[20:36] experience uh at all. But she you could tell during the interview uh basically

[20:41] there was good potential there. You could tell during the interview that

[20:44] basically there was uh a willingness to actually invest the time and effort to

[20:48] learn as well as provide u service and those expectations she's actually

[20:52] exceeded those expectations. So with the uh myself not being in the position and

[20:57] the fact that she's taken on extra project work even when I was here as

[21:01] well as uh learned and became a central part of our customer service front desk

[21:06] very knowledgeable at the front um if we do hiring uh we have not been previously

[21:11] successful in hiring a new administrative two person um I what we

[21:15] basically done is we've developed this one into admin 2 and my recommendation

[21:19] is that we approve that transition to an admin two role at the step one And

[21:24] basically if the council so choose the future you can then recruit easier for

[21:28] the bid one position if you so choose to in the future. So the recommendation

[21:32] that the newest pallet to boseman appoint the current administrative clerk

[21:36] one employee to the administrative clerk position at the step one wage rate of

[21:41] $2716.

[21:45] Sounds reasonable to me as far as you know searching down the road. 19 cents.

[21:50] I don't know if the 3 cents will make a difference, but

[21:56] on the last page it says clerk 2 is 2719. Oh, I was looking at the
