[8:27] of board members to the Show Low Municipal Property Corporation.

[8:31] City Manager. >> Thank you, Mayor and Council. Um, the

[8:34] Municipal Property Corporation or MPC is a non-profit corporation established in

[8:39] 1992 by the city. Facilitates financing the cost of or

[8:44] acquiring, constructing, and equipping equipping certain facilities for use by

[8:49] city or for leasing to the municipality. For the corporation's bylaws, the City

[8:54] Council appoints three members, all of whom must be Show Low residents, to

[8:57] overlapping three-year terms. Uh, board member Greg Butler has served

[9:02] on that MPC board since November of 2007, and we want to thank him for his

[9:06] service. That's a long time, almost 20 years.

[9:10] And he he served well on that uh board, but his term expired in January 2026,

[9:15] and he didn't want to seek reappointment. So,

[9:18] uh, we would ask that Brad Provost has agreed to accept an appointment to the

[9:22] MPC board. He's familiar with it, and so staff recommends that the City Council

[9:26] appoint Brad Provost to the MPC Board of Directors for a three-year term ending

[9:29] January 20 Available for any questions that you

[10:00] of award of job order pricing for bi-annual inspection and maintenance for

[10:06] city HVAC systems, City of Shallotte project

[10:15] Mr. Austin. >> Good evening, Mr. Mayor and Council.

[10:19] Over the past several years as the city's HVAC equipment has aged, the city

[10:23] has had had experienced numerous emergency repairs in the city's 22

[10:27] facilities. HVAC systems. To be more proactive,

[10:32] staff request job order pricing from three companies in which the city is

[10:36] currently contracted for HVAC repairs. Those companies are Advanced Air Systems

[10:42] LLC, Elevate Mechanical LLC, and Rim Country Mechanical Incorporated.

[10:49] Two of the three contractors attended the mandatory pre-bid meeting on January

[10:53] 27th, 2026. The job order pricing would be for 3 years.

[10:59] The contractor will provide a written report on each unit. The report will

[11:03] include the age of the unit and recommendation for replacement as well

[11:07] as spring and fall cleaning. Uh the contractors are as follows:

[11:13] Elevate Mechanical at $25,415

[11:17] and Advanced Air System at $26,239.50.

[11:23] The low job order pricing for bi-annual inspection and maintenance of the city's

[11:27] HVAC systems is Elevate Mechanical LLC in the amount of $25,415.

[11:36] Staff recommends awarding job order pricing for bi-annual maintenance and

[11:40] inspection for city HVAC systems. City of Shiloh project number FM-3523

[11:47] job order 25 to Elevate Mechanical LLC. And just so you know, we have 175 units

[11:55] in our 22 buildings. >> I um you said two of the three showed up

[12:00] for the What what happened to the third one? Did they

[12:03] » They couldn't make it. >> So, are they still on the maintenance

[12:07] program? >> Yes, they're on the job order contract.

[12:10] We can call them for replacement or repair.

[12:12] » Kind of the same way we're doing out there everything else. We call and say,

[12:15] "Hey, we're This is broke. Give us a price." type of thing.

[12:17] » Mhm. >> You don't have to keep running to us. Is

[13:49] stopped and had lunch and the forest service guys were already out

[13:52] and about so they ended up where we were at and there was like 20 of them and

[13:56] they were already out already thinking about burning. They

[13:59] just came back from Texas and they said, "You think you're a dry?" And I said,

[14:03] "Texas had all the rain." He said, "They're still they're already starting

[14:06] their fires over there." So, anyway, they said it's we all know how bad it

[14:10] is. We're just keep praying for snow and rain. I've seen it snow here. I think

[14:15] we've all seen it snow here in May. So, that's what we need.

[14:20] City manager. >> Mayor and council.

[14:23] So, [clears throat] this uh year is the 250th anniversary of

[14:27] our country and in celebration of that our recreation department is issuing a

[14:31] challenge to everyone to do 250 miles of a freedom fitness challenge.

[14:36] » In a car or a horse? [laughter] >> So, residents can complete 250 miles

[14:41] using any combination of activities. I think there's hiking, biking, kayaking,

[14:46] um swimming, um walking, whatever you want to do.

[14:49] You have until now till September 11th and then they're going to have a a

[14:54] patriot party on September 11th and you can receive a commemorative t-shirt and

[14:57] be entered in some drawing. So, there's your challenge. 250 miles by September

[15:01] 11th.

[15:05] Then they also have uh some other upcoming Easter events. We have our

[15:09] adult glow in the in the dark egg hunt on Friday, March 27th and the wild hair

[15:16] color run walk on Saturday, March 28th and then the hair raising candy scramble

[15:21] on Saturday, March 28th and you can find those registrations on the website.

[15:26] » Yeah, just I want to add to that. You know, our recreation department is

[15:32] absolutely fantastic. [snorts] Some of the stuff they got coming up

[15:35] this summer is going to be great. So, look out. I think the one of the

[15:39] kickoffs is probably the the anniversary party is coming up in May. So, just

[15:42] check the website cuz there's a lot going on, and I think we all know that

[15:47] anyway. We just worry about things to do in the wintertime, but we usually hunker

[15:51] down in the wintertime, but no hunkering down. So, maybe we start softball

[15:55] tournaments in the wintertime, too.

[16:03] March 17th, which is normally our regular day for council meeting, and

[16:06] we've been moved that to March 24th. And we'll probably also have a study
