[0:59] Um title 15 amendment for flood damage

[1:12] pretty straightforward. So, FEMA has

[1:14] recently updated their um study and

[1:17] flood insurance maps.

[1:19] Uh previously we referenced the date of

[1:23] uh in 2020 for that study. We've uh the

[1:26] change that we've made here is updating

[1:27] to

[1:28] their more recent study of this year, um

[1:32] which is adopted in June of this month

[1:34] of uh

[1:36] 26.

[1:37] Uh along with that, they've added some

[1:40] definitions that they would like us to

[1:42] add. Um

[1:46] updating, I guess, existing home

[1:49] subdivisions. Um they talk a bit about

[1:51] geotechnical reports, but

[1:54] uh pretty minimal changes. Uh mostly

[1:56] just reference to an updated study that

[1:59] they've done.

[3:28] at our construction standards, but twice

[3:31] um them here for revision and changes

[3:34] that have been made.

[3:37] So, this go around, if you can see in

[3:39] the background, there's a little bit of

[3:40] a summary of things that have changed

[3:42] here. Um

[3:45] boring inspections and testing, uh

[3:47] modifying our communication plan just

[3:49] because of some updates to staff,

[3:52] um modifies

[3:55] some of the sewer language um around

[3:58] manhole requirements and depths of

[4:00] sewer.

[4:02] Uh another change that we've made is not

[4:05] allowing inlets

[4:07] um

[4:07] in driveways on commercial properties.

[4:10] Uh that's just because of issues that we

[4:13] see as larger trucks are driving over

[4:15] the top of those, so

[4:17] I wanted to get those out of that area.

[4:20] Um and then a lot of modifications to

[4:22] electrical standards. A lot of those are

[4:25] cleanup

[4:26] uh to text um clarifying maybe some

[4:30] outdated equipment or

[4:33] um

[4:34] a language that uh references

[4:38] standards or um

[4:40] methods of installation that we don't

[4:42] use anymore.

[4:43] And then uh towards the end we also have

[4:46] some changes to standard drawings.

[4:49] Uh most of those as well are are cleanup

[4:51] items

[4:53] um as well as changing to some newer

[4:56] equipment, newer methods of installation

[4:58] that we've been using.

[4:59] Um

[5:01] and a lot of these are just coming from

[5:03] our inspectors and work out in the field

[5:06] as we see things that need to be updated

[5:08] or better manner of installation, we'll update these. So, nothing major or

[5:14] no huge overhauls, but just some I would

[5:17] classify this as kind of some tweaks to

[5:20] the standards to hopefully do things a

[5:22] little more efficiently and and get

[5:24] things up to

[5:26] current standard.

[5:29] Um

[5:30] happy to scroll through if we want to

[5:32] look at anything specifically or

[5:39] Um so here this is just the section on

[5:41] boring outlining

[5:44] um what we are going to require as

[5:47] utilities are bored under roads or

[5:50] canals, rivers.

[5:53] we're going to ask that the contractor

[5:55] provide once those borings are complete

[5:57] so that we can

[5:59] document those and make sure that we

[6:01] know uh where those are in the future.

[6:05] Uh this table here, you can see this

[6:06] update to

[6:08] uh some city staff for communicating on

[6:10] excavation permits.

[6:19] Um this is the update to

[6:22] sewer.

[6:24] So,

[6:25] kind of referencing the minimum depth

[6:27] and then manhole sizing.

[6:29] >> Yeah, I had a question about directional

[6:31] change and that's just my

[6:32] ignorance. What is that referring to on

[6:34] the road? [snorts]

[6:35] >> So, directional change would be

[6:38] you kind of have a sewer coming in from

[6:39] the north and you turn east or west or

[6:44] anything from going straight on. We just

[6:46] want that bigger manhole um because of

[6:48] the angle that the sewer comes in and

[6:50] leaves.

[6:52] It's a little bit harder to get in there

[6:53] and work on a smaller manhole, so that's

[6:56] why we're requiring a 5-ft manhole to

[6:57] get down there and

[6:59] um some of those turns, if they get too

[7:02] tight in a smaller manhole as well, it

[7:04] affects the structural integrity of the

[7:07] structure, so.

[7:15] Um yeah, there's mention of the inlets,

[7:19] driveways.

[7:22] And this kind of gets into just the

[7:26] electrical updates. A lot of this is

[7:28] language and

[7:42] from electrical lines, so not allowing

[7:45] buildings to be constructed or installed

[7:47] underneath those lines, and then

[12:51] electrical drawings, um a lot of them

[12:53] tie back to the updates in the in the

[13:04] then some notes on concrete pads that

[13:07] are used for this equipment as well.
