[7:08]
» All right. Thank you. Moving on. Uh
correspondence.
[7:13]
Uh you all got everything emailed and I
believe the clerk was putting out hard
[7:17]
copies tonight. So the only
correspondence we have for this special
[7:20]
meeting is uh the two requests from
Director Allen and Director Haley asking
[7:27]
us to have the special meeting and a
copy of the letters sent by
[7:33]
Representative Condan to
the finance director, the Oswagawagi
[7:38]
Fire Station building committee chair
and attorney Keell and me regarding his
[7:43]
concerns about a proposal in the sub
building committee. Um, that's it.
[7:55]
» No, we're not.
Um, and
[8:00]
moving on to public comment. Is there
any public comment? Is Yes, Helen.
[8:11]
I don't need to recite the rules of
public comment to you, do I?
[8:17]
» [laughter]
[8:38]
» Hi, my name is Helen Quisnooki.
Uh,
[8:45]
we're here about another town building
that needs a roof replacement. Again, my
[8:51]
questions as well as should be yours.
One, we also need to replace the town
[8:57]
library roof that's leaking since
December 2025,
[9:02]
which went through two major snowstorm.
One that dumped about 24 ines of snow,
[9:09]
as well as numerous rainstorms. Some of
them were heavy and tomorrow is going to
[9:13]
be another heavy day.
This roof is scheduled projected to be
[9:18]
done in 2030, four years from now. Oh my
gosh.
[9:24]
Two, the town expects the library to
cough up some money. How much is Goan
[9:29]
Firehouse putting in? Remember they just
had Fisman fireman's day which made
[9:35]
money? Three, we have public works
that is supposed to be checking town
[9:41]
buildings so that we can nip these
issues in the bud. Sounds like to me
[9:48]
that his her they did not do their job
seriously.
[9:54]
Maybe it is time to start looking into
this department. People should stop
[9:58]
being responsible.
four. Once again, the taxpayers is
[10:03]
getting the shaft.
It's about time to get away from flat
[10:08]
roofs.
I hope that you all look into this
[10:12]
request before you all start saying yes.
Thank you.
[10:20]
» Thank you. Helen,
did you want to give us a written copy
[10:24]
or
[10:32]
Sorry.
[11:07]
What's that?
Any other public comment?
[11:11]
Any other public comment?
Any other public comment? All right.
[11:16]
Hearing none, we'll move on to the call.
Uh first up
[11:22]
to consider and act upon a
recommendation from the board of finance
[11:25]
to move $178,000
from designated line number 20523-57888
[11:35]
uh CNR go roof replacement to
appropriated line 20523-57888
[11:42]
CNR go roof replacement to begin work on
a capital project approved May in May
[11:49]
24. Do we have a motion?
>> Second. Motion and a second. Um,
[11:54]
presentation.
[11:58]
» There was a question mark after that
word. Sorry.
[12:01]
Yeah.
[12:05]
» Well, it it it seemed
>> Good evening, everyone. Thank you for uh
[12:08]
thank you for responding to our request
to hold the special meeting. I know it's
[12:11]
uh not always the most convenient thing
to get everyone in, so I I appreciate
[12:15]
that very much. Um, as the uh moderator
stated, it was this is the continuation
[12:20]
of a uh CNR capital project that was
brought up uh I believe in 2024 prior to
[12:26]
my arrival. Um, this uh a quick summary
of it initially that was taken on the uh
[12:33]
replacement of one of the three flat
roof sections of the Goan firehouse. Um
[12:37]
at that time uh I believe from the uh
large amount of documentation that I I
[12:43]
went through um provided courtesy of the
the members of goan and and Tom Denbeck
[12:48]
had assembled quite a uh dossier on the
roof project. He had submitted a letter
[12:52]
to the RTM and to I believe the board of
selectman in March of 2025 requesting
[12:58]
that the project be all three flat roofs
in one to avoid uh tripling the setup
[13:03]
and transportation fees. So that's what
this is. Um the bidsp spec before you uh
[13:08]
was prepared through um the town's
purchasing office in partnership with
[13:13]
Trimco Roofing. Uh they're the uh the
town's roofing I guess subject matter
[13:18]
expert uh that you would call them on
call and uh this is to replace and uh
[13:24]
replace the all three flat roofs in one
fell shot. Um there's a number of
[13:30]
specifications attached to it that was
submitted as part of the backup. I am no
[13:34]
roofer, but I have learned a lot about
roofs through some of our expert help.
[13:38]
So, I may be able to provide some backup
uh and uh context, but bear with me if I
[13:46]
don't know the most technical aspects of
the materials and whatnot, but I uh I
[13:50]
can give you a surface level uh layman's
summary of it. It's a good quality
[13:54]
product. It's not the It's certainly not
the cheapest possible roof out there. I
[13:58]
think um what what we're replacing may
have been um and this isn't a uh it's a
[14:04]
modified bumen roof, not the traditional
builtup roof as they once were known as.
[14:09]
Uh it's a uh very high quality high
quality material. One of the most
[14:14]
interesting things in throughout the
course of this is that we haven't been
[14:17]
able to find too much information about
said roofs. Um, but this one will have a
[14:21]
microchip buried in it that um, any of
us that may or may not be here in the
[14:27]
future when this roof needs to be
replaced. Whoever gets the job can come
[14:30]
over, scan said hidden microchip in it,
and know when it was installed, what
[14:34]
it's made of, how it was constructed,
uh, when it got put down, and have all
[14:37]
that information buried into the bedding
of the roof, so we don't have to, uh,
[14:41]
try and piece together the information
again. So that's my
[14:47]
» wow
>> rant, not presentation. Just a rant.
[14:50]
Presentations come with slides, but I'm
open to any questions. Thank you again
[14:53]
all for convening tonight.
>> There you go. Thank you. Uh and I only
[14:56]
use the phrase presentation because it's
any less threatening than would you care
[15:00]
to take a seat so we can ask you
questions.
[15:03]
» Thank you. So, uh any questions and
comments?
[15:09]
» Representative Franklin.
>> I have a question.
[15:12]
» Oh, Kate, you'll be second.
Hi. Um, thank you for your your
[15:17]
presentation. Um, I was I was curious if
you know and [snorts] maybe somebody
[15:22]
else here could answer when the last
time the roof was replaced.
[15:29]
» A resounding no. Uh, yeah, the uh
information uh we that we were provided,
[15:34]
we can't put an actual date on it. Um,
but like I said, that's what we're
[15:39]
hoping to avoid having to do by burying
that RF microchip in there and making
[15:44]
sure that uh hopefully our future
descendants don't have to try and piece
[15:49]
it together in the background.
>> Yeah. And can I ask a followup?
[15:53]
» Yes.
>> Um, has has there been a history of a
[15:56]
lot of like patchwork and repair on the
roof over the last few years if if you
[16:01]
know.
>> Uh, yeah. I believe that that's why it
[16:03]
was that's why it was brought forward uh
two years ago to begin the process of re
[16:07]
of replacing it. Um there's uh there's
been a number of of repairs and leak
[16:13]
leak repairs throughout the past couple
years. Um TMCO uh from the past year
[16:18]
that I've been here, TMCO has has been
out there for that roof specifically and
[16:22]
they and they've uh done some some
repair work on it throughout. Um but
[16:27]
apparently prior to me there was a you
know a long string of history associated
[16:31]
with the roof based on the large amount
of material that um uh member Dembeck
[16:36]
had um had compiled over the years.
>> Right. Thank you very much.
[16:40]
» Y
Representative McKenzie,
[16:44]
» you're up. Kate
>> through you, Madam Moderator. Um, Chief,
[16:50]
I see a what I might think of as a
duplicative fee on each of the roofs.
[16:56]
There's a $9,300
fee for setup, safety, and equipment.
[17:03]
They're billing us $9,300
for setting up safety and equipment for
[17:10]
each roof. If we're trying to package it
all, can we get that down to one fee or
[17:16]
why are we paying that each time if
they're already there? Thank you.
[17:22]
» Uh, if you can hear me over the phone,
do you happen to have a page number that
[17:26]
I can flip and refer to?
>> Actually, I know the answer.
[17:30]
» Looks like 14. Uh, sorry, it's going to
be
[17:35]
starting at 13, I believe. 14 and 15.
It's the Imperial Company letterhead. It
[17:42]
has the three roof breakouts.
>> Yeah.
[17:45]
» On individual pages. Looks like it
starts
[17:50]
page 12.
>> Director Haley, I can explain that.
[17:55]
» 12, 13, and 14. Roughly, it's roof one
breakout, roof two breakout, and roof
[18:01]
three breakout. And on the bottom of
each one of those quotes for the three
[18:07]
roofs, it says, "Add $9,300
for site setup, safety, and equipment."
[18:15]
And that's on each roof. So, I'm just
curious,
[18:19]
» represent trying to consolidate and do
it all at once. Thank you.
[18:23]
» Thank you, Representative McKenzie. I'm
taking pity on Director Haley because
[18:27]
that is a document from before his time.
Um but I do know what you are
[18:32]
referencing that that was in the backup
uh from the budget we were presented
[18:37]
last spring which was prepared the
winter before that the year before that.
[18:44]
That is a much earlier quote from
Imperial. There are actually buried in
[18:49]
there three quotes from 2024 and 2025
and then 2026. the one you're looking
[18:55]
at, the 2025 with the 9300.
Um,
[19:00]
that is not the quote that was approved.
And actually, I I did the math on that
[19:05]
and they were only in the end on that
quote going to charge us one single
[19:09]
$9,300 fee back then,
>> but it's very good.
[19:15]
» It's somewhat moot at this point because
now we have a different bid.
[19:20]
» All right. I appreciate that, madam
moderator, and thank you for the
[19:23]
clarification.
>> Thank you for reading all the backup to
[19:26]
the end.
>> You're welcome.
[19:31]
» I app I applaud that greatly. Thank you,
Sue, because moderator Driscoll because
[19:36]
I uh I quickly became very confused and
then if you look it for everyone's
[19:40]
context, the the section that they're
talking about was from then the CNR was
[19:44]
initially brought up dated at the very
top uh 116 2025. So I believe that's
[19:49]
what they were referring to. Avoid the
three setup fees. Um the one you should
[19:53]
be or the one that is in question
tonight before you is uh my
[19:58]
correspondence 72326.
Thank you.
[20:01]
» Yeah,
that was it. That is the problem. But it
[20:05]
does show the history of just
>> Yeah.
[20:07]
» how many times this has been bumped
around. All right,
[20:13]
Representative Childs.
through you madam moderator. Um so I
[20:19]
found hi I found um in the 2425 fiscal
year request um for a capital project um
[20:26]
it was from um the director before you
he had mentioned in his description that
[20:33]
um not only the twothirds of the flat
roofing but onethird of the pitched roof
[20:38]
needed to be replaced. Did you when you
were looking through kind of the records
[20:42]
to see what might have been done, did
you see anything about the pitched roof
[20:46]
being addressed?
>> Uh, no. The I also spoke to TMCO as well
[20:51]
uh when they rebid this and and when
they were out to create uh that package
[20:56]
initially. Yeah.
>> Um no, there was never anything included
[20:59]
in any of the initial scopes about the
pitched roof.
[21:02]
» Okay. Um, I spoke to I spoke to the
luckily the the the person who wrote
[21:07]
this one that was just quoted referred
to from 2024 still still there, still
[21:11]
employed, still our um uh
representative. Uh, I spoke to him uh
[21:17]
over the weekend again just to confirm
that and and so far no one has been able
[21:21]
to uh identify a solid answer on how old
the uh the roof the pitched roof portion
[21:26]
is. Okay. But um he's been out to the
site twice uh to write this initially
[21:31]
and then to update it um with a little
bit better materials and things the
[21:35]
second time around. Um and he's he
strongly believes that that because
[21:40]
there's a sloped uh portion on the the
pitched roof, it's a it's a hip and
[21:44]
sloped roof that there there's some life
still left in the shingle roof right
[21:48]
now. Um I to quote the technical
assessment that he gave me over the
[21:53]
phone. uh it has not experienced blowoff
or tear out or cracking at this point um
[21:58]
and uh feels that there's there's um
life left in the shingled portion, but
[22:03]
no, so far no one has been able to
>> find any paperwork that says how old
[22:07]
that is.
>> Excellent. Thank you.
[22:13]
» Any other questions for Representative
Bennett?
[22:17]
» Through you, Madam Moderator. Um I have
a quick question. Um thanks for sharing
[22:20]
the info first on the tracking chip. I
feel like that is something that's uh
[22:24]
pretty interesting to know that that can
happen. It reminds me of like when you
[22:27]
put it in your dog and they scan the dog
to find out where it goes. It's it's
[22:30]
amazing how much technology can really
impact and make our lives easier.
[22:34]
Hopefully it works by [laughter] the
time the room is done. Um when it comes
[22:37]
to this new material that they're um
that they're per that they're get
[22:41]
telling us to use instead of the like
you said the cheapest material. Do you
[22:44]
have any idea on the longet like how
many years it is supposed to last? Uh
[22:49]
yeah, the it comes with your, you know,
your standard commercial 20-year. I
[22:54]
shouldn't say standard because some of
the other work roof work that may have
[22:56]
gotten done in the past may not have
come with the standard warranty. Uh but
[23:00]
it would come with what's considered a
uh indust industry industry standard
[23:03]
20-year warranty. Um uh the installer
themselves, bumperto bumper, two years.
[23:10]
Uh, and TMCO being that that we work
with them, uh, TMCO is a national
[23:14]
roofing supplier, uh, and they have a
number of contractors that are
[23:17]
installers for them. But they, um, they
would come out prior to that two-year
[23:21]
bumper-to-bumper, if you will, expiring,
and do an assessment on our behalf to
[23:25]
make sure that that the installation was
done properly, uh, was all done up to
[23:28]
spec, and then they TMCO would provide a
number of ongoing, um, ongoing
[23:34]
assessments throughout. uh you know,
kind of like if you want the warranty on
[23:37]
your Honda to keep up, you got to do the
oil changes and air filters when Honda
[23:40]
tells you. Um they would come out and do
those ongoing inspections for us. And um
[23:45]
all all things all things kosher would
go through um at 20 years, we'd be able
[23:50]
to refresh the roof instead instead of
replace it. They'd be able to strip the
[23:54]
top layer off, reskin it. This is a two-
layer roof. You have a heavy duty base
[23:58]
layer uh and then a product that's
called Endura 100. Um it's not the
[24:02]
Cadillac top end, but it's not It's not
the stuff that you have to tear off and
[24:06]
throw away. So, you'd be able to redeck
the roof for another another 20 years of
[24:10]
service at the end of the initial 20
years
[24:13]
» for much less than what we have to do to
put it together.
[24:15]
» Correct. It becomes what they refer to
as a roof restoration at that point. Um,
[24:19]
by by putting in the the two-layer
system, you're able to protect. They're
[24:22]
going to replace any of the wet
insulation that's under there right now.
[24:25]
Tear that off, replace all the anything
that's compromised right now. Um, but
[24:31]
uh, you know, nothing is obviously
bulletproof. uh you know, hurricane
[24:34]
damage, things like that that may or may
not be end up being, you know, taking
[24:37]
the road of an insurance type thing.
But, uh,
[24:41]
all things included and all things by
design would be able to get a 20-year
[24:44]
service life out of it and then be
restored for another 20 year service
[24:48]
life after this. And then at that point,
you re remove, you know, down to the
[24:52]
deck and replace the roof system as a
whole.
[24:56]
» To the best of my knowledge, based off
of
[24:59]
» Yeah. And who knows what products are
going to be available in 20 years. It
[25:02]
could be a 40-year roof at that point.
Um, when it comes to those maintenance
[25:05]
items that you just discussed, is that
something that's included in the price
[25:07]
that's here or is that something that we
would have to come up with?
[25:10]
» It's included as part of the package.
>> Oh, okay.
[25:12]
» That makes me feel better. All right.
Thank you so much.
[25:14]
» Thank you.
>> Okay. Any other questions?
[25:19]
» Oh, Representative Elbow.
>> Hello. I did have a quick question. I
[25:25]
work in a building that has flat roofs
as well. Birds are a big concern because
[25:31]
love to drop things and then peck.
Causes a lot of leaks and
[25:38]
birds like to peck at the roots and
cause of course going through and
[25:43]
penetrates through and cause a lot of
leaks. Um is there going to be anything
[25:47]
put up to deter birds perhaps? So that
can help deter
[25:54]
early issues maybe.
>> Hasn't come up. Uh,
[25:59]
» just a little POA, you know, that might
be something interesting. So,
[26:05]
» I would uh I I I would look into one of
those plastic owls.
[26:09]
» I'd even provide it myself if it if it
keeps the roof to get intact. I would
[26:13]
look into it. But yeah, I mean
>> I I'll I honestly I will I I'll call
[26:18]
TMCO and ask, you know, is bird
deterrent, you know, something in the
[26:22]
roofing industry.
>> It sounds funny, but
[26:24]
» No, I listen especially being near the
shore. I mean, I can only imagine that
[26:27]
the occasional clam gets dropped
>> uh dropped and it misses the parking lot
[26:31]
and hits the roof. So, I totally
understand it.
[26:34]
» Thank you.
>> Yep.
[26:37]
» All right. Any other questions?
Any other
[26:43]
uh
and Representative Valencu? Sorry,
[26:46]
Steve. I saw him first. You're next.
uh through you madam or under uh Chris I
[26:51]
just want to thank you for your work so
far as a director of fire services uh
[26:57]
for many years the the issues of the
needs of the various other four
[27:02]
firehouses of ostaging have
[clears throat] needed attention and I
[27:07]
think you promised to me when you first
got hired that you would address these
[27:11]
issues of the other firehouses and you
have done so adimately so far. I just
[27:16]
want to thank you for uh really doing a
great job uh taking care of our other
[27:23]
firehouses.
Uh and that's it. Thank you.
[27:28]
» I appreciate that. Thank you.
>> Thank you, Representative Bizade.
[27:32]
» Who owns the firehouse?
[27:36]
» Who holds title to the firehouse? Is it
goant like a private company like Algaji
[27:42]
was or does the town of Waterford own
it? uh private association.
[27:47]
» Okay. The town is obligated to put a
roof on this private property.
[27:54]
» Uh the the building the building
maintenance services are are
[27:58]
historically u part of a ongoing uh
agreement that was agreements that were
[28:04]
signed with each individual association.
Uh I believe in the 70s.
[28:08]
have to defer to someone that
1974 um and you that were signed in
[28:16]
partnership um to protect both both
parties in in uh both parties interests
[28:21]
in the properties I believe to avoid
them uh becoming subject to mortgage for
[28:26]
improvement that it was if um that the
town would would support building
[28:31]
building upkeep and building repairs uh
to avoid the associations having I guess
[28:35]
put them under mortgage and at that time
the uh to the best of my understanding
[28:39]
then at that time the town would lose
its its interest in a um you know a
[28:44]
public safety infrastructure asset. So I
believe that's how those agreements were
[28:48]
initially reached but I would I'm I'm
waiting into waters that are long before
[28:52]
my time here uh just taking off the
surface level.
[28:57]
» Will the town buy that property like
they did Owagi you think down the road?
[29:06]
I
>> or it will it always be private? And if
[29:09]
it is private, do they make any kind of
contribution to this expense of putting
[29:14]
a roof on it or any other expensive
HVAC, doors, whatever?
[29:20]
» Uh it's it's it's nothing that I've
explored. Um but historically, I believe
[29:27]
the agreements were, you know,
everything was through funded through
[29:30]
the town to the best of my knowledge
that I've put together. Um,
[29:34]
[clears throat] uh, so I I I wouldn't I
wouldn't know. I'd be I wouldn't want to
[29:38]
speak out of turn on something that I
don't know about what had gone on in the
[29:41]
past, but I believe that
>> understand
[29:43]
» everything has gone through uh through
town funds.
[29:46]
» I'm totally in favor of putting a roof
on a firehouse to protect the apparatus
[29:51]
and and the investment, but I'm not a
big fan of putting a roof on my
[29:55]
neighbor's house, if you follow me.
So, someday we're going to own it. as
[30:01]
part of the investment of buying the
property. Um,
[30:05]
just curious. I mean, the alagotchi was
private for my whole life and now the
[30:11]
town owns it and big things are
happening there. I didn't know if there
[30:14]
was plans for that down the road as
well. Um, I I would say, you know, in
[30:18]
the in the uh in the broader context, I
if if that was a case of, you know, we
[30:23]
would definitely want to be approving
the roof either way, like you said, to
[30:26]
protect your investment. Um, if if
that's something that the town wishes to
[30:30]
pursue, uh, far beyond
my purview right now is today. Um, but I
[30:38]
agree with you that that putting the
roof on would be a sound investment for
[30:41]
the future. The [clears throat] other
concern I have, and it was addressed a
[30:43]
little bit earlier, was um the the
shingled part of the roof,
[30:49]
if it only has x amount of years, and
you said nobody can really come up with,
[30:54]
should it be all done at one time?
Because if they're going to replace that
[30:58]
down the road, the flat roof's going to
take a beating with the debris that they
[31:02]
pull off. I would assume they're going
to strip it and replace plywood or
[31:05]
whatever needs to be done.
Um,
[31:08]
» how much more,
if this company even does that type of
[31:12]
roofing, how much more would it cost
just to do it all and let it be done for
[31:16]
a number of years?
>> One of the uh one of the challenges is
[31:20]
that the project was already
established. So, I just followed the the
[31:23]
existing scope so we didn't have to
expand the scope out again and bring
[31:27]
this back um you know further years down
the road. And and with that uh one of
[31:32]
the reasons that the next item is the
bid wa is the uh not the bid waiver the
[31:35]
uh
the waiting period the 15-day waiting
[31:39]
period to waiver it is to try to get
moving before the winter so we're not
[31:42]
we're not subject to another winter of
>> it's all good all good what everything
[31:46]
you're doing is good it's just u you
know I'm in that field where do you just
[31:52]
put a band-aid on whatever is there or
should it be top down selling just
[31:57]
replace it all and be done with it? How
much more would it cost? It's not going
[32:02]
to get any cheaper
down the road. And if we're spending all
[32:07]
this money on a flat roof with this
fancy
[32:10]
migraine chip thing, we certainly don't
want to damage it without having to
[32:15]
replace 5 10 years down the road.
You know, it I'm just thinking out loud.
[32:22]
» Um [clears throat] I I I had to advance
the uh the scope of the project that
[32:27]
existed. Um, like I said, we we did
touch base and they said that that they
[32:31]
see life left in that. Um, and uh, at
this time he said he he couldn't give an
[32:38]
accurate recommendation on replacing it
other than that that he believes that
[32:41]
there's life left in the aphalt
shingles. Um, no one, like I said, no
[32:45]
one has been able to identify the
current age of it, but um, I think it is
[32:51]
it is advisable to try and get at least
all three of the flats done uh, prior to
[32:55]
another winter. and um and then explore
that uh in the next coming five-year
[33:02]
capital requests. Normally, I believe
we're putting out a five-year window for
[33:06]
capital requests. So, to be able to find
room in there to continue that that
[33:10]
portion of it if so uh if so possible so
we don't wait until something is failed
[33:16]
and leaking. We can try and get ahead of
it and get it on the radar at least now
[33:19]
and start looking at it while we have
some time to plan out and things. and
[33:22]
hopefully this is um one of the last
ones that we're chasing uh late. So I I
[33:27]
I totally hear and understand your
sentiments on on everything you stated.
[33:31]
Um and I think that we're we're
attempting to become, you know, to take
[33:34]
a more responsible approach and a little
bit more forward-looking approach to all
[33:38]
these things. Um so I I totally agree
with with every one of your sentiments
[33:42]
on it. So
>> thank you for your time.
[33:45]
» Thank you.
>> Appreciate you.
[33:46]
» Thank you. Thank you.
Was that any other questions?
[33:52]
Representative Condan.
>> Uh through you, Madam Modiator.
[33:57]
Uh
Chris had did you talk to uh I'm just
[34:01]
looking at the pictures is the first
time I'm seeing the plans. Did you talk
[34:04]
to uh HVAC Tech to get a price to
move those uh units on the roof?
[34:11]
Is that included? I see in their their
uh construction notes that it's up to us
[34:16]
to uh disconnect and reconnect. Um which
obviously we would want to approve this,
[34:22]
but I don't want your budget to take a
ding. I know this project predates you,
[34:25]
so if you had to come back for more
money at a later date, I just didn't
[34:29]
know if this was uh I don't see any
evidence that it was included. Well, one
[34:33]
of the nice things is that that another
um
[34:37]
another step forward we took on the
buildings this year was to um work to
[34:42]
get preventative maintenance contracts
uh on various different services that
[34:46]
didn't exist before. Uh one of those is
that we were able to partner with MCOR
[34:50]
who already has uh you know a bulk of or
is working towards a bulk of the
[34:54]
projects um and the HVAC systems in
town. Uh so we signed on an agreement um
[35:00]
with them to provide dual services uh
spring and fall turns and turnoffs and
[35:05]
pre or post uh heating and cooling
seasons. So in the event we had to
[35:09]
relocate or or disconnect something or
or you know if we had to drain a system
[35:13]
to move something around based on what
TMCO needs to do for penetrations. Um
[35:17]
you know right now we don't know is
there failed insulation around some of
[35:20]
those things that might have to we have
to redeck a section or whatnot. Luckily,
[35:24]
we we now have MCORE at our disposal on
call uh signed on a on a service
[35:28]
agreement um for all the stations uh for
everywhere now. So, every every station
[35:34]
will be getting not only that
preventative maintenance, but it it
[35:36]
gives us a little bit more of um it's
kind of like if you have a service
[35:40]
agreement with your oil guy, right?
>> You get kind of a little bit more
[35:43]
preferential treatment when you need
them. So luckily we have them at our
[35:46]
disposal in the event that we have to
significantly relocate something or or
[35:50]
maybe drain the you know the refrigerant
out of a system or something to move it.
[35:53]
» Yeah, that was my question because this
just says that they have to lift these
[35:56]
at a minimum 8 inches of clearance to a
roof underneath it. But the the cost is
[36:02]
to us not not to but as long as we have
somebody
[36:06]
» Yeah. I mean there there' obviously be
you know a cost but it wouldn't have to
[36:10]
be a uh you know a furtherance of a
capital project.
[36:15]
I say that quickly. I knock as quickly
as I can, but hopefully it would just be
[36:19]
uh there's enough slack in the line sets
to be able to lift it. But if they had
[36:21]
to redeck a portion of it under
something like that, I'm sure MCOR would
[36:25]
uh would have the tools and people to do
it.
[36:28]
» Perfect. Thank you.
>> Thank you.
[36:32]
» Okay. Any other questions?
Any other questions?
[36:39]
Any other questions? All right, hearing
them. I think we're ready for a vote.
[36:46]
Roll call.
[36:49]
Roll call. [snorts]
[36:55]
» You want to repeat the motion?
[37:03]
» Sure. The last meeting couldn't remember
if I had to repeat the motion.
[37:08]
The motioning for all of us who have
forgotten is to move $178,000

[37:20]
appropriated line 20523-57888

>> yes.
[38:41]
» Motion passes.
Thank you all very much.
[38:44]
» Thank you.
>> Much appreciated.
[38:46]
» And despite your disclaimer, you sounded
like you were an expert on roofing by
[38:50]
the time you got into it.
Gary, don't say that too loud. Gary will
[38:56]
come find me.
>> Well, we're all going to call Gary and
[38:59]
ask him why we can't get microchips in
every building.
[39:03]
Uh, next on the agenda to consider an
act upon the previous motion as
[39:07]
emergency legislation waving the 15-day
waiting period in order to have the
[39:12]
project completed before harsh weather
conditions delay work until next year.
[39:17]
Do we have a motion?
>> Second
[39:23]
steward. I'm very proud I don't usually
catch them both.
[39:28]
All right. Uh, any questions? Any
discussion? Any
[39:36]
questions?
Any discussion? Any
[39:42]
questions?
Uh, hearing none. Are we okay with a
[39:46]
with a voice vote on this one?
All right.
[39:53]
So, we're going to do a voice vote on
declaring this emergency legislation to
[39:58]
wave the 15-day waiting period. Huh?
I means you agree.
[40:05]
How's that?
[40:10]
» You want to call for the vote? All in
favor?
[40:13]
» I
>> opposed.
[40:16]
» Abstain
[40:20]
hearing. None. Eyes have it. Motion
passes. All right. Thank you all very
[40:24]
much. Uh I'll enter a motion to adjurnn.
Second.
[40:29]
Thank you all again.
>> Thank you.
[40:31]
» Thank you, Chris
[40:36]
of a German. I opposed.
