[0:02]
Yeah.
[0:05]
» Look at everything I put in the folder.
>> Oh, yeah.
[0:09]
» Okay.
>> All right. We'll call to order the u the
[0:14]
June Wheatland Town Board meeting. Let
the record show that Butler's present,
[0:20]
Dawson is
present, but remote, and Karen.
[0:27]
Karen, is that you?
Yeah.
[0:30]
» All right. And uh Wagner is uh present
and also remote. Um the clerk's office
[0:40]
is also present.
All right. And the agenda looks like we
[0:47]
got one item, which that's what I
figured we would have. And so I have a
[0:53]
motion to approve the agenda or any
additions. I make a motion to approve
[0:58]
the agenda.
>> I'll second.
[1:01]
» All right. A motion by Butler, a second
by Wagner. All in favor? I. All right.
[1:08]
Motion carries 30 on the agenda as is.
Um, so we got the meeting minutes
[1:17]
for
May
[1:22]
and looked at those and uh I do I like I
like it. I like the format much better
[1:30]
there. A little bit a little bit more in
detail. I know that.
[1:36]
» Did you get a chance to read that Karen?
[1:44]
No, I didn't get a chance to read it.
>> Well, I'm going to make a motion to
[1:48]
approve the minute May minutes as read.
>> Yeah. And and I'll second that since uh
[1:54]
Karen was not here and uh
[1:59]
for the May meeting, right Karen? You
you missed, right?
[2:04]
» Yeah, that's fine.
>> That's right. Okay. Yeah. Oh, that's
[2:07]
right. That's right there in the
minutes. Y All right. So, yes. So, we
[2:10]
got a motion by Boer and a second by
Dawson. All in favor?
[2:16]
» I
>> I All right. Motion carries. 30.
[2:25]
All right. And then we got
[2:30]
the
screen here. We got the claims for May.
[2:40]
I didn't have any questions. I already
looked over these on my end.
[2:50]
» I know Erica's not here, but I was Do
you know, Craig, what the vacation
[2:55]
coverage services are?
>> So, that was for when she was out at her
[2:58]
conference, I believe.
>> Okay. I know there's somebody else on
[3:03]
here that said while she was conference.
Uh that might have been her vacation
[3:07]
then.
>> Okay, got it.
[3:10]
» One of them was for her vacation. The
other one was for the conference. I
[3:13]
can't remember exactly.
>> Vacation. Okay, that explain that.
[3:17]
I'll make a motion to approve the May
claims.
[3:20]
» No,
>> I'll second.
[3:23]
» All right. You have a motion by Butler,
a second by Wagner. All in favor? I.
[3:30]
Motion carries. 30 on the May claims.
[3:38]
» All right. Then we got
departments are not there. So my guess
[3:44]
is they have nothing to report.
>> Hey Brett, did you read the April
[3:50]
minutes? Do we need to approve those? We
asked Craig to do those over.
[3:56]
» We tabled them last meeting, but I've
I've updated them.
[3:59]
» Yeah, they're down at old business
there. I was just moving down the list
[4:03]
» on the
>> No, you're fine. No, I just move it down
[4:07]
the list in order that way there's no
confusion,
[4:11]
» but
All right. So, we did go to department
[4:16]
reports. Uh, new business T-Mobile.
Okay, Brad.
[4:23]
Yes.
Before I started. So,
[4:28]
and you've got a little bit more
knowledge of
[4:32]
Do what? Uh, you cut out there for a
second. What' you say?
[4:35]
» It is. I mean, I know we had a uh they
have their stuff up on the tower. So, is
[4:41]
this trying to terminate it?
>> So, yeah. So, backstory on the T-Mobile.
[4:48]
So, three years ago is how far back this
had been being worked on. They c reached
[4:54]
out informing the town and the water
department that the 25year
[5:00]
lease agreement uh from
uh 2020 or 2001
[5:08]
was expiring and they wanted to sign
another like 20-year lease agreement.
[5:14]
Well, during that time period, well, um
the town was having issues getting the
[5:21]
rent money and the contractor, not
Teemo, did a significant amount of
[5:27]
damage um to the catwalk and also the
property surrounding um the Wheatland
[5:34]
water property there inside the gate and
as well as the adjacent property owners
[5:39]
when they pulled a crane up into the
yard.
[5:42]
So there was a lot of issues going on um
and a lot of back and forth and at that
[5:50]
time period uh like I said three years
ago that the board at the time um to
[5:56]
keep things moving we um all agreed in a
meeting and on record to uh transfer the
[6:06]
negotiations and talks and what they
wanted to do between uh T-Mobile and We
[6:11]
left that up to the utility uh which
would be Erica and Drew the attorney um
[6:18]
to to keep things moving because we
weren't getting anywhere when we had to
[6:24]
play back and forth one one day a month.
So
[6:29]
and and it still took three years. So,
um, but since then, a lot more stuff has
[6:36]
happened and I knew that they were going
to just terminate the, uh, the the lease
[6:43]
agreement. They were not going to renew
it. Um, so they are taking their stuff
[6:48]
off the water tower. T-Mobile asked for
one year to be able to do that. Uh, make
[6:55]
arrangements to get their stuff off the
water tower. And
[7:01]
Drew countered offered with that's fine.
We'll give $2,000 per month for the year
[7:08]
that it's still up there. Plus, they're
asking for
[7:14]
in this contract here um damages uh up,
you know, that they have to basically
[7:21]
it's a escrow of $10,000 to put the the
grounds around the area uh that may if
[7:28]
it may be damaged that they will uh fix
the uh you know the soil, the gravel,
[7:34]
that kind of stuff.
>> Okay.
[7:36]
So,
>> have they agreed to this yet or is this
[7:40]
is our proposed program?
>> Yeah, this they've agreed. Drew said
[7:44]
everything's been agreed upon by the
two. Um, he just wanted to update the
[7:50]
board. Uh, this is actually Drew's item
that he sent to us.
[7:54]
» Yeah. He just wanted us to make sure we
were aware of it,
[7:56]
» right?
>> He wanted just make sure everybody knew
[7:59]
and was aware of it. And then uh
um he said if we could verbally approve
[8:05]
it um in the meeting that just way it's
on record and and then it make him feel
[8:10]
better you know uh getting this thing
sent back to them signed and sent back
[8:14]
to them
>> and I don't know your opinion there
[8:20]
Betty and Karen but for the town since
we've basically let the utility and the
[8:27]
attorney handle that I'm fine with
having our utility manager sign that.
[8:32]
Um,
>> if you guys are okay with that.
[8:35]
» Oh, I'm fine with that.
>> I'm okay with that.
[8:37]
» Yeah, I'm good with that.
>> I'm okay.
[8:39]
» From my understanding, T-Mobile's been a
bit of a headache with this project.
[8:44]
» Yes. And I think less more
not introducing any other names would
[8:50]
probably be in our best interest anyways
because it's been it's been a journey.
[8:55]
Let's put it that way. I know they've
been three well three years of back and
[8:58]
forth and
>> but uh yes it's it's you know it's water
[9:03]
department's water tower and all that
stuff there. I'm perfectly fine with
[9:07]
letting Erica sign that and Drew sign it
and send it over
[9:14]
» if we're all on the same page. So, do I
have a motion to approve this um this uh
[9:20]
» amendment
>> the amendment to PCS site agreement that
[9:25]
was presented to us by our town attorney
and the utility department.
[9:30]
» I make a motion
>> I'll make a motion.
[9:32]
» Oh, sorry. You're hearing. Go ahead.
>> I'll make a motion to approve that.
[9:37]
» All right. We got a motion by Wagner. We
got a second by
[9:42]
» Okay. Second by Butler. Are we all in
favor? I motion carries 30.
[9:50]
Um and we'll go ahead and just put one
more time on the record there that we we
[9:55]
do all agree that um utility department
does have the authority to sign this
[10:00]
document.
>> Okay.
[10:02]
» Yes.
[10:05]
» All right.
Easy enough there. Let's see. Then we
[10:10]
got one old business. We table the
meeting minutes uh for April. We just
[10:16]
ask a little bit more u
u
[10:23]
uh written statements here. A dialect.
There you go. That's the word I was
[10:27]
looking for. And uh yeah, I like I like
it.
[10:33]
Um I read through this and looks good. I
like that little bit more detail and uh
[10:41]
give you a little bit more of an idea of
what was going on at that time meeting.
[10:45]
So
>> I agree. If anybody would review, they
[10:49]
would see there was a lot of discussion.
>> Yeah,
[10:55]
» I make a motion to approve the April
minutes.
[10:59]
» I'll second.
>> All right, we have a motion by Butler
[11:02]
and a second by Wagner. All in favor? I
>> motion carries 30 for April meeting
[11:12]
minutes.
All right, got a couple people walked in
[11:16]
there. I see. So you guys got anything
for us the public?
[11:20]
» Anything so far?
>> I don't have anything. You got anything
[11:24]
for us?
>> Flushing hydrants this week. I think you
[11:26]
probably saw on Facebook.
[11:33]
That's about having so far.
>> Yeah. Now when we had a surf fire we
[11:37]
used one down there that's been one
field fires
[11:43]
that's I mean build fire grass all that
is done through that so it's it's well
[11:49]
flushing
[11:55]
» all right well with that being it do I
have a motion to
[12:02]
» I make a motion to
>> I All right.
[12:07]
Motion by Wagner and second by Butler.
All in favor?
[12:12]
» I. Motion carries. 30. Meeting adjourned
at 612. Betty, you're close. You said 15
[12:19]
minutes.
[12:22]
» All right. Hey, I'll see you. See you
guys.
